“Nicole was amazing with my dog. She was communicative and sent lots of photos and videos during the stay. Super friendly and made me feel at ease while I was away.”

“Our terroir Charly had the best time! Willow kept us updated with photos and treated Charly like her own. We came home to a happy, crazy pup — couldn’t ask for better care. Highly recommend!”

About: Family, friends and acquaintances of theirs have relied on me as a source of care that they consider a piece of their family. If you’re that kinda person , I might just the right fit. I like to understand an animals personality, and created a trusted bond. I am willing to do whatever silly thing your animal requires to feel safe and loved. I am very flexible and am open to discussing your needs for safety/care and the animals need as well. Please don’t hesitate to contact me. I often am available most Holidays. Pet sitting is not just something to bring in an extra income but something that brings real joy, happiness, and fulfillment to my life. While having an animal for me, every single day isn’t realistic unfortunately ,I find that the ability to do this periodically throughout the year and to be around animals is very rewarding . This also gives me the ability to focus entirely on your animal and the comfort they need when family is away. I did security for nine years and have a level one fingerprint clearance card. I will treat your home with respect and when watching animals and my own home, I do not watch multiple animals from different households to ensure that no issues were to ever arise in a negative altercation. I do have a preference of housesitting at clients homes due to just the comfortability of the animals environment not changing. They tend to already have a little bit of anxiety with the owner, leaving and changing their environment can sometimes for some animals heighten that anxiety.
“Brie was amazing with my Aziza. She was attentive from our first meeting. I took comfort in all the pics throughout the day and my girl was so happy and content. Perfect all the way around!!”

“Cassandra was great with our elderly little Shiba and his quirks and needs. She was communicative and responsive, patient, caring, and determined. We’re very thankful for her; we were incredibly at ease while away because we knew our goody old man was in good hands.”

“Allie did a great job taking care of our shy little Maggie. It is obvious she is very caring in the much appreciated pictures and updates she sent while staying with pittie. Our house even seemed cleaner when we returned than when we left! We look forward to booking Allie again soon!”

“Carly was the best! I’m super picky about who I leave my animals with and she made me feel so comfortable the entire time with tons of photos & updates. She loved on my boys like they are her own and I will definitely be reaching back out the next time I travel!”

“Heaven was amazing! She was great at communicating and sharing photos of our pups throughout our time away. We also loved that she’s obviously a big dog lover. I’m so glad we found her! I always felt like our babies were in good hands. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Rachael was an absolute blessing for us! She remained active with our dogs and gave them (and our fish) so much attention in our absence. She actually spoiled our family so much that I’m already dreading the thought of her being booked during our future vacations. If you’re looking for the perfect person to watch your pets/house while you’re away, look no further!”

“Kiki and Laura were amazing!! After a few incidents with other catsitters this past year, we were very nervous to leave our cat over the holidays. Laura was so attentive, made sure to spend a lot of time with him (even though it was Christmas!), and kept us updated with lots of photos. She even offered to stay late when it looked like we wouldn’t make our flight home. When we got back, our house was spotless and our cat was as happy as could be! It was wonderful to know he was in such safe hands. Laura will definitely be our go-to catsitter from now on!”
“Daniel is fantastic, thoughtful and very caring. He communicates clearly, sending photos of our cat, giving us comfort knowing our elderly cat (Marbles) is being cared for with great attention to the cat's needs. Marbles is 18 years old and quite arthritic. Marbles needs supplements daily and is quite picky about his water. Thanks to Daniel I can travel without constant worry about Marbles and if he is getting the care he needs.”

“Shaundra stayed at our house with Cooper and we are so happy with the experience! She was super kind and very communicative. Cooper hurt his knee recently and Shaundra was very mindful of his limping and keeping us updated. We got tons of pics and pup-dates too! Loved Shaundra and will definitely be using her again!”

About: Hi! I have 2 years of professional dog training experience and many years of house/pet sitting from farm animals to house pets. I’ve worked hands on with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, personalities, and training levels, so I’m comfortable caring for everything. I’m comfortable reinforcing existing training and routines while you’re away, and strive to care for pets in their own environment and keep their normal routines as consistent as possible. I know how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust with both your pets and your home! I have two horses, two dogs & a cat myself! Pet care is my full time job, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m able to plan my day around your pet’s needs and normal routine. My only regular commitment is spending a few hours at the barn each day, and I have flexibility with when I go. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, training, playtime, and any other individual needs. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!
“Desiree was fantastic! Her communication was great, we received updates and photos all weekend and our house was spotless when we got home. Would absolutely recommend her!”

“Andrea was great with my two little pups, she stayed in our house and was very responsible! She was always quick in returning any messages & kept us updated with pictures & text messages about how things were going while we were away! I will most certainly be asking Andrea to come back to watch my babies the next time we have to travel without them. Thank you Andrea for taking such good care of my little one!! ??”
“Another great service with Summer! The cats were happy and the house looked better than when I left. Summer was communicative and sent a couple photos. It’s so nice to be able to trust someone to take excellent care of the pets and the house! She really goes above and beyond and I will definitely request her to house sit again! Highly recommended”

Bella was fantastic with Nike! She kept me updated and sent pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was responsive, easy to communicate with, and attentive to his needs. Nike really enjoyed spending time with her, and I appreciated knowing he was getting such great care. I would absolutely book with Bella again and highly recommend her!

Cassie was so sweet and very quick to respond which was so nice being away for the weekend! Upon coming home, Cassie left my house spotless. I was able to connect with Cassie before my booking which really set my mind at ease. I’m excited to have Cassie watch Millie again for future trips :)

Mary Kate watched my dog, Khalifa for the first time and she exceeded my expectations. She kept me updated throughout, which made it so easy to relax knowing Khalifa was in good hands. It's clear she really cares about the animals she watches. I'd recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative dog sitter — we'll be back!

Sicily is absolutely wonderful! She cares for our dogs as if they were her own. She texts us pictures and updates often, and we can see how happy the pups are. And the house is always spotless when we come home. We are grateful for her excellent services and highly recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Guadalupe walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Guadalupe maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Guadalupe choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Guadalupe. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
