“I was so nervous leaving my pup to a stranger but I couldn’t be any more happy with James and his family watching over my pup! My pup is so attached to me and is picky with the people he interacts with but he was so happy and calm when I got him back. I received constant updates on how he was doing and a lot of pictures, which I was happy with. Definitely making them my regular go-to-fam to watch my pup!:) Thank you again for watching Prince Jameson, see you soon!”
“Fantastic sitter! Snapple has been so happy to have company as she has separation anxiety. Lisa and family make her feel relaxed and at home! Will 100% continue to book as needed! Thank you!!”

“We are so happy with Kerri and Clint. Our dogs have never been left before with anyone. One was bashful but our poodle fit right in and enjoyed playing with the other dogs. If we are in the area again we will surely contact Rover and set up with Kerri and Clint.”

“Wonderful visit and great communication, appreciate all the effort that went into making Boudreaux feel right at home. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we were very pleased with Kelly and Kris! Their dog was so sweet and gentle and got along very well with my girl. They provided pictures and updates, and were very responsive!”

I work from home, so your dog will have company all day long whether they’re up for playtime or just want someone to sit next to. My family’s also big on cuddles, so if your dog’s a fan of snuggling up on the couch, they’ll fit right in! Mi casa es tu dogs casa. Since I work from home, my routine naturally includes plenty of time for play, walks, and potty breaks. I’m able to offer your dog constant attention, making sure they get the love, care, and exercise they need throughout the day! Your dog will be treated like family at my house! With plenty of space to roam, regular walks, playtime, and frequent potty breaks, I ensure a cozy, loving environment. Whether it's cuddling on the couch or playing in the yard, your dog will feel right at home while you're away!
About: Ever since i was little dogs have been a big part of my life. My parents would collect strays and bring them home and essentially foster them until they were healthy enough to go to a home. I have helped train many breeds of dogs with basic training, such as sit and stay. I have seen and had experience with puppies to senior dogs. i have given and applied various medications to many dogs, even aggressive. I have bathed dogs who are scared of water without causing trauma or fear towards myself or the dog. I am available all day after 9 am on weekdays and all day on the weekends! If you did need earlier you could send a request! I love animals of all kind, I myself am a bit much with how I raise my animals with feeding and enrichment. No matter how you are with your pets I understand and will go to any length to make sure they feel at home.
“Dimity is GREAT. Our Basset Hound Ringo loves to go visit Dimity. She is always happy to see Ringo and she treats him like one of the family. She has 3 dogs and they all get along quite well. When Ringo realizes he is going to Dimity's he gets very excited. Dimity is very accommodating and friendly. She often sends us pictures of Ringo and makes us laugh with tales of his exploits during his stays. He has lots of fun when he is at Dimity's. We had tried another sitter before we found Dimity and were not satisfied. We are so glad we found Dimity because we trust her completely.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and they have always brought me joy. I volunteer in rescue and have experience with special needs animals as well. I’m excited to meet your pets and give them the same attention that I give my own sweet fur babies. I do work full time from home so I’m here all day with them. Looking forward to hearing from you! I am currently working full time from home, but I’m available for drop ins at your home after 4 pm and weekends and I can keep your sweet babies at my home and they will be treated as my own. About: Fun-loving and energetic female looking to pay off her student loans. By day, I'm a Recruiter in the Scottsdale area so I spend most of my days engaging with people and learning all sorts of new things. I place professionals with employment opportunities here in the Metro Phoenix area. I figured spending time with animals doesn't really feel like work and I would absolutely be delighted to take care of your little ones, if needed! I have a fairly flexible schedule so if you're ever in a pinch - please reach out! I can do same day/last minute plans. I've always been the "go-to" for pet sitting when people go out of town, I treat them as if they were my own so I can assure you that your fur baby will be in great hands. I work remote so taking breaks/caring for animals on lunch breaks or even after work is great! This is something I do in my spare/free time and I love it! I don't board animals in my home as I have three cats but more than happy to come to you as needed! Feel free to reach out with any concerns however and I'd be happy to accommodate to what you need while away.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
