“Carrie went above and beyond, ensuring Keeda had a fantastic experience! ✨ She provided convenient doggie door access and plenty of toys to keep her entertained. Communication was exceptional, with daily check-ins and pictures, making me feel involved and reassured while I was away. Keeda also enjoyed regular walks and even hikes, which helped burn off energy! 🐕 I felt completely at ease during my trip, knowing my fur baby was in such capable and caring hands. Highly recommended for anyone looking for reliable and attentive dog care! Thank you Carrie! 💗🤗🐾”

“Scarlett was amazing! She was very communicative from the beginning and welcomed us into her home to see the safe space that our pup would be living in for the coming days. She updated us frequently with photos and videos and we can tell that she truly adored our Winston. Our trip ended up being a bit longer than expected but she was willing to continue caring for him without hesitation. Would definitely recommend Scarlett for your pets!”

“Suzy and her family were extremely accommodating to our travel schedule, treated our three dogs like they were their own and gave us the peace of mind that our pups were being cared for while we were away. I’d recommend Suzy and her family, hands down.... no question!”

“Jenni was great! She was sweet, professional and welcoming. She took care of my dog as if it was her own. She kept me informed with pictures and messages of how my doggie's day was going. I would recommend her for pet care any day.”

“Beatriz was an AWESOME! She accommodated our last minute request to watch our fur baby. Sent pictures and updated us daily to how our doggie was doing at her home. Highly recommended and will use her sitter services again.”

“I am super happy with how everything went, I was worried about my dog because we haven’t left her in over a year and I was unsure how she would handle it but they immediately put me at ease”

“We are so grateful to have found Lisa! She was incredibly thoughtful and caring throughout the entire boarding experience. Unlike some other sitters we’ve tried who watch 10–20 dogs at a time and keep them in kennels, Lisa truly focuses on each dog’s wellbeing. Her home was also neat, clean, and comfortable, which gave us so much peace of mind. From the meet-and-greet, we could immediately tell how much she cares, both about her own dogs and about making sure they get along well with visiting pups. We boarded our 8-month-old puppy, who can be a handful and still makes little mistakes, but Lisa was so patient, understanding, and gentle with her. Communication was fantastic. We never had to wait or ask repeatedly for updates. Lisa sent prompt messages and plenty of pictures, which made us feel connected and reassured the whole time. Her three kids were also wonderful. Kind, loving, and respectful toward our pup. It’s clear this whole family loves animals, and we really appreciated the warmth and support they gave our little girl. We will absolutely be asking for Lisa again in the future. Highly recommend! ❤️🐾”

“Thank you for taking such great care of my sons dog over the weekend. The pictures and update were so appreciated and Ren had a great time and was so tired from all the fun. Till next time! Thanks again!”

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! too bad they won’t let you love 10+ starts. Seriously… my wife and I were so stressed, our dog sitter bailed last minute. We downloaded rover one day before our trip and we found Marianna ready and willing to care of our girl. Constant updates, and photos! It was awesome being on vacation not having a single worry about Lily! Will be booking with Marianna for every trip moving forward.”

About: I've owned and cared for pets for over thirty years! I'm newly retired and need some running/walking buddies in between my grandkids. I love animals so much, my grown adult kids say I love animals more than them. They are kidding of course. I take my time with the animals I care for, I never want to feel rushed with them. I have one 40lb aussiepoodle that loves when he gets visitors to play with. We have a single story home with a small fenced yard. Would love to love your dog! Being retired I have time to love on your pets. I just relocated to San tan valley, looking for new clients. I love dogs and their company❤️ I have a toy box with lots of dog toys. Several dog beds and activities to keep dogs engaged.I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog that loves friends to play with. I allow dogs on my furniture and my lap,

In the videos and pictures she sent I could tell Minnie had so much fun and was VERY well loved. Thank you so much! We were so nervous to leave her with anyone, but we are so happy we trusted Angelina. Would 10/10 recommend her!!!!”

Highly we recommend and absolutely loved having Emma board our Mastiff puppy, Sami! First time user and my husband and I were a bit skeptical of how everything would go, but after meeting Emma and her little ones we were set at ease. Big house, yard, and so much TLC ❤️. Left our big baby with Emma for 10 days for my husband's military retirement. Though we were worried, Emma always made sure to keep us updated on how things were going with texts and pictures of our baby. I greatly appreciated her communication! She really took care of our baby girl and made her feel at home and she got along with everyone including her children and other dogs! We also appreciated Emma for dropping off our baby to us after our long drive which was a bonus! Again we highly recommend and look forward to booking her again in the near future for our Sami!

Thank you for everything you did and coming out extra because you couldn’t find orange chicken that meant a lot. I’m gonna leave a tip just on this reservation that I had with you cause I can’t seem to figure out how to do it on the cats reservation. But it’s for both the dog and the cats.

Robyn was amazing with our furbaby! This is our second time sending our Shadow to Robyn while we went on vacation for a little over a week. We were nervous to leave Shadow for such a long period of time, but we got daily updates from Robyn and she made sure to let us know how Shadow was doing often. He made so many friends and always looked so happy in the photos and videos that Robyn sent! It seemed like he was cared for just like if he was one of Robyn’s own dog. 10/10, would recommend her to all of my close family and friends. I will always go back to her for Shadow! :) Thank you so much for your love and care Robyn! <3

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Verdi! Knowing he was safe, happy, and loved gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I truly appreciate the daily updates and photos! They made being apart so much easier. He was so calm upon returning home. I knew that he was truly in good hands. I look forward to having you sit again. Thank you again so much for providing outstanding service.

Jacklyn did an Amazing job watching our dogs while out for the day with guests. We had been having issues with our dogs barking at guests and she was able to help them tremendously so that they didn't bark at them for the remainder of their stay. She also gave me some other tips as well. We have booked her again for the near future. Thank you so much Jacklyn!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
