I am currently working part time while continuing my education, and my assistant works from home full-time. So in the event I'm at work your dog or cat will always have someone with them wheither that be boarding, drop in visits, or house sitting. For boarding and house sitting, I travel: Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and Florence. If you’re in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Apache Junction, Scottsdale, or staying in a 4-star hotel, feel free to send me a message, and we can work something out. *** I offer pickup and drop off services for boarding too*** I’m very flexible Monday–Sunday and open to one-time, short-term, long-term, or extended care. I understand firsthand how important extended care can be; there was a time when I had to board four of my own dogs for about 3–4 months. “Nothing can keep me from your fur ball.” 🐾

Information Ava B. would like to know about your pet

Some questions I like to ask when you book with me are about your pet’s daily routine, health, and behavior, so I can care for them just like you do. Please answer these questions and send me the replies via messages. 1. How many times a day does your dog or cat eat, how much food, and any dietary restrictions or allergies? 2. I also need to know if they take any medications or supplements, what time they’re given, and how they’re administered—for example, by mouth, inhaler, injection, gel, or drops. If your pet needs any medical monitoring or extra care, such as diaper changes, bladder expression, fluids, or anything similar, we’ll go over that as well. 3. I’ll also ask about any triggers, fears, or anxieties they may have, and if there are any behavioral issues like food aggression, toy aggression, leash aggression, or crate aggression. 4. It’s helpful to know if your dog is housetrained, if they respond to verbal commands (and which ones you use), and whether they tend to chew on things like cables, socks, shoes, or other items. These are some of the questions I ask for all services, and ** during the meet and greet, especially for house sitting and drop-in visits, I’ll go into more detailed questions ** so I can fully understand your pet’s needs and make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. 💛

A typical day

Changing pee pads for puppies (I know accidents happen!) During their stay, your dog will enjoy: Daily playtime both indoors and outdoors, (feeding once, twice, or three times a day, based on your instructions), Plenty of bathroom breaks throughout the day, nap time, Access to toys and enrichment, walk, and Medication given as needed (per your directions) **Do bring your dog’s carrier or crate for sleeping at night. HOWEVER, If your dog can roam freely that’s totally fine as YOU know your dogs. If your dogs are roaming freely they will sleep with me in my room. I provide clean dog bed and blankets, which are washed after each dog’s stay. ** For Housesitting, I service dogs and cats: I stay fullday and overnight in your home so your pet can remain in their familiar, comfortable environment. Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Ava, and I’m a certified veterinary assistant with 8 years of experience working in a 24/7 emergency animal hospital and a kennel/boarding facility. I currently work part time while continuing my education, which allows me to be flexible and attentive to your pet’s needs. When I'm at work My assistant who has 13 years of experience in boarding dogs at our home is home full time. We are excited to begin our pet care services! Before joining Rover, we provided long-term boarding for foster dogs and cats, caring for them anywhere from a few weeks to six months, until their original families or new adoptive families were able to make space for them. As a veterinary assistant, I’ve worked with dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes, including seniors, special needs pets, and those requiring daily medications or special monitoring. I also have experience with overnight pet and house sitting, as well as multiple daily drop-in visits while families are on vacation. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I’m available on all days of the week. I live in a one-story house with a large, fully fenced-in backyard with turf. Perfect for playing fetch in a safe neighborhood. I also have two friendly senior dogs of my own, who you’ll see featured in several of my photos. As well as two friendly senior cats. I'm very flexible Monday–Sunday and open to one-time, short-term, daily, or weekly long-term, or extended care (more than 10 consecutive days and no more than 3 months). We understand firsthand how important extended care can be; there was a time when we had to board 4 of our own dogs for about 3–4 months due to a storm that flooded the house. I do require a complimentary in-person meet and greet for new clients before your booking appointment for house sitting and drop-in visits. This helps ensure that your pet feels comfortable and safe with me. When I arrive at your home, I’ll slowly introduce myself to your pets while we sit and talk for about 30 minutes. During this time, we’ll go over your pet’s routine and any special requests, all while I give your fur baby plenty of gentle attention and love. After that, we’ll do a brief tour of your home so you can show me where everything is. At the end of the meet and greet, you can either: Hand me a house key or garage opener, or provide your garage/front door code (at least a day before your booking). Please note: if there is an active bed bug or head lice situation in the home, I will not be able to provide services there. I truly appreciate your honesty and understanding of this policy.

My husband and I brought our puppy Kobey for overnight boarding and he had a great time! Our requested booking was accepted last minute and there was consistent communication throughout the whole boarding process as she sent videos and pictures. We are so grateful that we were able to board Kobe when we could, and our experience overall was great. Definitely recommend!

I highly recommend this family for dog service. They are very kind and clearly have such a LOVE for animals. They did great with introductions and making sure the dogs were comfortable. Updates were given often on the dogs. Will be using them again.

Ava has a wonderful heart full of kindness and love, whether it's for animals or anything she puts her heart into. I've seen her show that same genuine care toward both pets and their humans. She's an amazing veterinary assistant who truly taker her time with your animals and with you as the owner. I've enjoyed every interaction I've had with her. I even asked her several times if she could pet sit or board my dog. One time my dog was boarding, and Ava called to let me know that my little Pumpkin wasn't eating and asked what she could do to help. I ended up doordashing some cooked shredded chicken from HEB so she could add it on top of Pumpkin's food. She did exactly that and then called the next day to let me know he was eating again. I would highly recommend Ava to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pet.
