“Kiersten was the absolute best! I have never left my dogs with anyone other than family, but she was kind and took the time to meet me before and let the dogs meet too. She sent me photos and videos and was so kind with all my questions and checking in. She only books 1 client at a time so I didn’t have to worry about more dogs or cats staying with her that we didn’t get to do a meet and greet with. She was very patient and understanding of our dogs “quarks”. My dogs became very comfortable at her home and comfortable with her dog. Bella was also an amazing hostess, and so kind to share her toys. We will definitely only use Kiersten if we have to leave our dogs again. 100000/10.”

About: Hi, I’m Jesse! I live in The Islands community in Gilbert, and I recently said goodbye to my sweet 12-year-old bulldog. I truly miss having a dog around, and I’d love to share my home and care with yours. Whether your dog loves playtime, cuddles, or just relaxing in the sun, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. I work from home, which means I can give your pup plenty of attention throughout the day. I will also appreciate the company of having your dog hang out with me. My home has a spacious backyard on the lake with real grass, perfect for playtime and potty breaks. More importantly, I know how much dogs mean to their families, and I’ll care for yours as if they were my own.
“I’m so glad I found Alisha and her family on our first booking, I’ve never looked elsewhere! From the start, they made me and my dog feel completely at ease. Now, every time I drop him off, he rushes into their home without hesitation, tail wagging, and that brings me so much peace of mind. It’s clear he’s happy, well cared for, and loved like one of their own. I cannot recommend Alisha and her family enough. If you're nervous about leaving your dog with someone new, this is exactly the kind of home you want them to be in.”

“Alex was so attentive to my little Iggy. She maintained contact throughout the day, everyday and provided so many pictures of the fun they were having. What a great experience. Kona will be back!”

“Rachel is a wonderful dog sitter. She and her family gave so much attention to my Cockapoo Henry. I’m sure he felt at home and loved all of the attention. She kept me updated each day with a little message and photos. I could see how happy he was. I plan on using her services again in the near future. I wouldn’t hesitate for anyone to use her services and be satisfied with your pets in Hermes care.”

“Cynthia took such great care of my baby while I was visiting family over a long weekend! Her hospitality and loving heart for dogs allowed me to enjoy my time away, without worrying because I knew Simba was in great hands. Would definitely recommend this sitter, she is so caring and loving toward the puppers!”

“Kelly is warm and genuine in her love for dogs! I was confident my dog would be safe, relaxed, and well-cared for in Kelly’s home. I picked up a happy dog and am pleased! Thank you Kelly for a terrific 1st boarding.”

About: Hi! Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started caring for animals at a young age, was involved in FFA, and later worked for a veterinarian, where I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of dogs and situations. I also foster for a Labrador Retriever rescue, which has given me experience with dogs of all personalities — from confident and playful to shy and unsure. I have two dogs of my own: Griffin, my 14-year-old Lab who I’ve raised since he was a puppy, and Mia, my Golden Retriever who joined our family three years ago. Having a senior dog has taught me how important patience, routine, and gentle care are. Your dog will be treated like one of my own — with lots of love, attention, and care. I work a full time job just five minutes from home. My dog comes to work with me and yours can too. I am only available for pet care in my home. Your dog’s safety is very important to me. I have a secure, fenced yard and a doggie door so they can move comfortably between indoors and outdoors. There is also a swimming pool for dogs who love the water, and I always supervise closely anytime dogs are near the pool.
“We had a fantastic experience with Amber! My husband and I recently moved to Arizona from California and had to make a last-minute trip back for a wedding. From the start, Amber was incredibly responsive and flexible. She quickly agreed to a meet and greet, but when bad weather made that difficult, she was happy to do a video call instead, which I really appreciated. I have two Boston Terriers, one is a playful one-and-a-half-year-old, and the other is seven with some health issues. I explained everything to Amber, and she was not only understanding but very willing to accommodate my older pup's needs. She followed my instructions carefully and was genuinely caring with both dogs. Throughout their stay, Amber sent regular updates and photos, and anytime I had a question or reached out, she responded within the hour. It was such a relief knowing my dogs were in good hands. They both had an absolute blast, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Amber again!”

“James & Erin were absolutely wonderful with Bentley!! We had to change the dates/times on them a few times due the LA fires and they were so incredibly understanding, kind and flexible. We received updates & photos of B and looks like the dogs he got to play with were all so happy!! We’d absolutely book them again. Thank you so much!”

“We had such a great experience with Stacie and would highly recommend her! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was also super sweet and clearly cared about our dog, making it so much easier for us to feel at ease while we were away. We felt completely comfortable leaving our dog in her care and will absolutely be using her again in the future!”

“Lauren, Michael, and their kids took such great care of my little furbaby. I really appreciated the frequent photo updates—they made me feel so relaxed knowing he was in such good hands. It definitely looks like he had an amazing time because he’s currently completely KO’d from all the fun! 🐾”

“It seems that Luke enjoyed himself. Teresa's home has a pool, and she was careful about letting Luke play in it which I'm sure he also enjoyed. My return flight was delayed by a day, and she was able to accommodate Luke for the extra day without hesitation.”

“Veronica and her family always do a great job watching our boys! It's conforming to know that we can rely on them and don't have to worry about how's our dogs are doing. Thanks again!”

“Sergio & Bethany are a very responsible and caring family. Our dog daisy was comfortable during her stay. We felt at ease leaving her in their care and we are planning on using their services again.”

“Natalie, was great for my dog Niko. She kept me updated on his activity , and behavior. My dog seemed to have had a great stay with her and her dog, as well. I would definitely recommend Natalie for your pet`s needs. I will be using her in the future . Thank you, Natalie”

Brittany and her family were awesome! My dog, Bentley, is a 1/2 chihuahua 18lb nervous scardy-cat and yet he had a great time with Brittany! He kept up his couch potato routine with her kids and was very well taken care of! She sent me at least one picture each day and I could tell that my dog was relaxed and happy! It just made it so much easier for me to go away and visit family, knowing that my little dog was being well cared for. I would recommend Brittany to anyone looking for a wonderful environment to babysit their dog! And I look forward to using Brittany again in September when we go away to Texas for another family visit. Thank you, Brittany!!!!

We had an excellent experience. Cindy was calm, composed, and clearly experienced with dogs. Before agreeing to watch our dog, she took the time to carefully assess how he interacted with her own dog, which gave us a lot of confidence that she was putting the dogs' safety and comfort first. Throughout his stay, she kept us informed about how he was doing and was very understanding as he adjusted to being in a new environment. Her updates were always thoughtful and reassuring, and it was clear she recognized that some adjustment is normal when a dog is away from home. This was our first time leaving our dog with a sitter, so we were naturally a little nervous. Her patience, clear communication, and compassionate approach gave us complete peace of mind, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation knowing he was in great hands. We would happily trust Cindy with our dog again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and professional sitter.
This was a last minute booking and they were amazing!!! Our little Zoey was a bit nervous at first but she warmed up so quickly and they gave me constant updates on how she was doing. She fit in so well with them and came home the happiest pup. 🐶 ♥️ We will definitely be using them again!!!

It was the first time we used Rover and we are simply so happy to have worked with Danielle! She is just wonderful! While we were traveling overseas, Danielle would give us regular updates with pictures and videos! Our dog Poppy was very skittish from lack of socialization, but Danielle has been so patient working with her; when we came back, she is behaving so much better around other dogs! Danielle is also very flexible when we had to change our travel plan half way through. We would recommend her to anyone who needs reliable service to take care of their dogs. Thank you Danielle!

It was so nice to be able to leave for almost 2 weeks and know that Charlie was having a grand old time! He was happy, loved and well cared for by Alisha and her hubby. Alicia sent us regular updates and pictures which brought great peace of mind. We will absolutely be asking her to keep Charlie every time we need to leave. Thank you Alisha. Thank you Rover!

Our German shepherd Obi had such a great time with Emilea and her family. Her kids are so nice and loving, and great for my high energy dog to play with. It’s clear they really love and care for your pets like they’re their own. Had peace of mind leaving here there while we were on vacation for two weeks. Definitely recommend.

Many thanks for Joey and Allie for their kindness, flexibility and exceptional care they provide my dog Maggie. Their willingness to accommodate my ever changing is truely appreciated. It means so much to me to know my dog is in such great hands and loves her like their own. Thank you for everything you do!!

Darbi and Nate were great! We had a few schedule changes post-booking and they were so flexible and accommodating. They took Finny in and just loved on him so much! Sent updates and pictures which was great! In fact…we’re convinced that the poor dog is mad we brought him home 😂 Highly recommend!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
