“Emma is an excellent caretaker for my kitty! My kitty isn’t always friendly, but she was very comfortable with Emma and would allow Emma to pet her. Emma sent me photos every day which always makes me very happy. She also went the extra step and cleaned a blanket that the cat had thrown a hairball on. I really appreciate her taking the time to do this. I highly recommend Emma. I feel very confident having her in my home and looking after my fur baby.”

About: Hi, my name is Jillian, and I provide loving, personalized pet care services. I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, and guinea pigs, and I have a big passion for rescue animals. I currently volunteer with local rescue organizations, so I have lots of hands-on experience with all kinds of pets. I also work for a school district with students who have special needs, and I’m available quite a bit during the summer for pet care. I’ve also had experience giving dogs their medications as needed. Whether you need daily drop-ins, walks, or other care, I’m dedicated to keeping your pets safe, happy, and cared for. I can’t wait to meet them! My schedule is very flexible during the summer, and I’m available for daytime, evening, and overnight pet care throughout the week. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, extended care, or overnight stays, I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and needs. I take pride in providing safe, responsible, and attentive care for every pet I work with. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and very good at following instructions, routines, feeding schedules, medication needs, and any specific preferences to help your pets feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since my teenage years. Friends, neighbors, family, and clients have relied on me to feed, walk, bathe, and nurture their dogs. I am currently teaching group fitness classes at EOS fitness gyms a few times per week. I am also enrolled in online Yoga certification program, so I am home most of the time and available most days of the week. I have a fenced yard and currently do not have any pets in my home. We are exploring dog fostering options. If you prefer, I can crate your dog if needed.
About: I have been pet sitting for years and have worked with a variety of different volunteer organizations caring for dogs. I also have my own little dog, Roxy, who is 13 (and a certified diva). Roxy has heart failure, anxiety, and a bad hip, so I’ve become an expert at spotting when pets need a little extra care. Whether your dog is high-energy or super shy, I am patient, attentive, and want nothing more than to make them feel comfortable and safe while you’re away from home! I am currently a college student home for the summer, and am hoping to pet sit full time. Therefore, my availability is pretty much wide open. It’s very important to me that your pets have 100% of my attention, so I will never take two jobs at once. I understand that each pet has different wants, needs, and boundaries, so I do my best to make sure that I am able to make each pet as comfortable as possible. Whether it’s sticking to a daily routine or giving them some extra attention, I promise to treat your pet(s) like my own.
“Ashley & Benjamin were incredible care takers while I was on vacation!! I’m new to Rover and it was very reassuring to know that Kota was being cared for. Ashley was super easy to communicate with and she consistently provided updates, with photos and videos which was great to see! We couldn’t more thankful for the care provided. Thank you!!”

About: My mom is a veterinarian so we’ve fostered many animals, I’ve taken care of pregnant dogs, puppies and more! I have also been a dog sitter for roughly 2-3 years for 2 larger pups 1 boy and 1 girl, they’re potty trained but we did daily walks, nightly eats, and sleepovers! I am open on availability and looking for animal care work, I like to work with the owners and keep up how they do it! Or if they’re looking for someone to do it i can happily create an everyday plan that works for all I currently have 2 dogs one being a puppy and we live in a town home so I try to take them on walks when I can, they get fed twice daily and fresh water every morning. The 2 dogs I normally watch (bean and Rex) are potty trained but I am comfortable working with pets that aren’t potty trained. Their parents feed them once a day so that’s what I do for them. As well as tear resistant chew toys/bones and lots of attention!
About: I am currently a volunteer (trained in dog care/cleaning) at the AZ Humane Society in Sunnyslope and I'm looking for a way to help closer to home - What to expect: I am very attentive, respectful and most importantly, love ALL dogs. Everything will be done as instructed and I try my best to leave things in better shape then I found them. You will have absolutely nothing to worry about. I work from home and I am self employed - allowing me all the flexibility to ensure on time arrival and adequate attention to your pup! I have received dog training from the AZ Humane Society (volunteering for almost 2 years) and feel confident in my abilities to care for your dog and space
About: Hi I'm Kayla! I've volunteered at different animal shelters when I was 13 years old. I've handled all different kinds of animals, from dogs, reptiles and even birds! I worked at a doggy daycare/boarding facility for 3 years and have been training dogs for almost 2. I went from Kennel tech, Shift lead to Dog Trainer while working at said facility and have handled all different types of dogs. I started professionally training dogs on my own for a little under a year, but my skill and experience have left many clients happy! I also have history with dog/cat sitting, house sitting, and tending to pets while owners are away. I am currently in a mentorship for dog training as well so I can strengthen my skills and learn even more about training as the days go on. From puppies and kittens to seniors, I'm happy to take on any sort of responsibility when it comes to the welfare of animals! I am always happy to prove photos and text updates for your pets while you're gone! I am currently out of work and am getting by with training past clients. I am an open book when it comes to scheduling. With only having the occasional doctor's appointments, I am happy to tend to your pets at any time needed. I have a reoccurring appointment on Fridays from 11am-12pm, but I am able to fit in any sort of pet care in any other date and time! I have a 15 year old Shih Tzu Maltese mix, and a 10 year old Chihuahua rat terrier mix. With my Chihuahua, he is well trained in all sorts of basic obedience, he is like my little practice buddy! I am accustomed to feeding, watering, administering their meds, and playing with them at all times needed. I am more than happy to take what I know from not only caring for my own pets, but from my experience working at a boarding facility, and put them to good use with your babies!

“I highly recommend Kat she did a fantastic job taking care of my two dogs. She is very caring and you can tell she loves animals. I look forward to booking her again when I need someone to drop-in on my pups.”

About: Hi! My name is Rebecca, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets. I currently have two Great Danes (ages 11 and 2), two cats, and a chinchilla, so I’m very comfortable managing both large and small animals with different needs and personalities. Growing up with dogs has given me a strong understanding of behavior, training basics, and daily care routines. I’m especially experienced with large and giant breeds and understand their unique needs, including exercise limits, joint care, and bloat prevention in deep-chested dogs. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, as we recently lost our 9-year-old Great Dane, so I’m comfortable with slower-paced walks, medication routines, and providing gentle, attentive care for older pets. At the same time, I can keep up with high-energy dogs who need playtime, enrichment, and structured activity. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I treat every animal like my own and always prioritize their wellbeing, safety, and happiness. I work remotely part-time as a registered dietitian. My days are free after 9am for house visits. If making house visits, it would occur after that time. Walks during the summer are limited with heat, aim for evening or grassy fields to run some energy out during the day. In my client’s home, I care for pets by following their established routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding according to instructions, providing fresh water, regular potty breaks or walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I also make sure litter boxes are cleaned, accidents are addressed promptly, and the home is left tidy. For dogs, I prioritize safe leash handling, structured walks, and attention to each dog’s energy level and mobility needs. I’m experienced with large breeds and senior dogs, so I adjust activity accordingly and always prioritize safety (including awareness of bloat risk in deep-chested dogs like Great Danes). For cats, I focus on calm, respectful care—making sure they feel secure, keeping their environment clean, and giving attention based on their personality (whether they are social or prefer space). I also make sure litter boxes are cleaned daily and routines are consistent. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to provide reliable, attentive care so owners can feel confident while they’re away. I also provide updates and photos so you know your pets are safe and happy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Carefree with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
