About: I’ve been pet-sitting for friends and family for the past 4 years while in school. I also have two six year old pugs that I love and care for! I’m excited to care for your pets while you’re away. During the summer when I’m out of school, I’m available every day of the week to watch and care for your pets for either drop-in or overnight stays! I can easily crate your dog(s) or monitor your free roaming pets depending on your preference. I have experience with both including crating my own dogs.

Jacqueline has been amazing!!! She took such great care of my Koko. She followed all of his special instructions, was always on time and took pictures and sent me little notes that he was doing great. I would definitely recommend her and will continue to use her when I need someone to take care of my cat.

About: I have a good amount of experience caring for animals. This is a friendly environment with room to run in and out. I'm a hands on sitter and animal lover. I work in the area I live and check in between appointments on the dogs. The rest of the time I'm here and home on weekends. My kids are home for the summer. There are many areas for the dogs to relax and feel comfortable. There are several water stations inside and outside. The backyard is 75% shaded during the daytime hours.

About: Hi, I’m Mya! I have a strong passion for animals and have spent the last seven years in 4-H caring for and working with a variety of animals. Through that experience, I’ve learned responsibility, patience, and how to properly care for animals of all personalities and needs. I genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just sitting with them and keeping them company. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away, and I always do my best to give them that same level of care and attention. I have experience with both dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable adjusting to each animal’s routine, energy level, and temperament. Whether your pet needs lots of activity and playtime or prefers a calm, quiet environment, I’m happy to meet their needs. My goal is to provide reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitting so you can have peace of mind knowing your animals are in good hands. I’m currently working part-time. I’ve been in 4-H for 7 years, working with a wide range of animals and people. I can do walks and help with medication I am respectful and can communicate within 24 hours or less. I am a certified equine light therapist and can do anything treatment and therapy you ask

About: I recently lost my 16-year-old Shih Tzu, Harper, who was a huge part of my life. Caring for him through every stage of life, especially his senior years, gave me extensive experience with patience, routines, medication support, comfort care, and recognizing dogs’ individual needs. I am comfortable caring for both small and large dogs and provide a calm, clean, smoke-free home environment. Your dog will have access to a spacious, air-conditioned 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. There are no other animals or children in the home, allowing for a peaceful environment and plenty of individualized attention. As a school principal, responsibility, communication, safety, and trust are part of my everyday life. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone dependable, loving, and attentive. As summer comes to an end, I'll be returning to my full-time role as an elementary school principal. During the school year, I'm typically away from home Monday through Friday from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If your dog is comfortable being home during those hours—similar to a typical workday—I would love to care for them! Before and after work, your pet will receive plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks (if requested), cuddles, and lots of love. One of the perks of my career is having several school breaks throughout the year. During fall, winter, spring, summer breaks, and long weekends, my schedule is much more flexible, allowing me to spend significantly more time at home with your pet. If you're looking for boarding during one of those breaks, your dog will enjoy even more companionship and attention throughout the day. My home is safe, smoke-free, and has a fully fenced yard. Transparency is important to me, so if your pet requires constant supervision or frequent midday care during the workweek, I may not be the best fit. However, if your dog is comfortable with a typical workday routine, I'd be happy to welcome them into my home. As a school principal, responsibility, communication, and creating a safe, caring environment are at the heart of what I do every day—and I bring those same qualities to caring for your pets. I provide a safe, calm, clean, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for while away from their families. In my home, dogs will have access to a spacious, air-conditioned 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and potty breaks. My home is smoke-free with no other pets or children, which allows me to provide individualized attention and a peaceful environment. I carefully follow each pet owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, sleeping arrangements, routines, and any special needs. I understand how important consistency and communication are for pets, especially seniors or dogs adjusting to a new environment. As a school principal, safety, responsibility, supervision, and communication are part of my daily life, and I bring those same qualities into pet care. My goal is to make both pets and their owners feel safe, comfortable, and confident while in my care.

About: Experience caring for anxious and/or special needs animals (diapers, mobility issues, medication, senior dogs, puppies) both professionally and personally. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been pet sitting on and off for family friends and neighbors since I was a teenager, but started doing so more professionally in the past 5 years. Most of my experience is with overnight care for dogs (ranging from a single night to a full month at a time) but I’m an animal lover with personal experience caring for every kind of pet imaginable (horses, ferrets, fish, cats, bunnies, reptiles/tortoises). I work very flexible hours part-time which mostly consists of work from home, this leaves my schedule wide open for overnight care and long stays. Very good at keeping consistency with feeding and medication schedules, as well as making sure potty breaks taken as frequently as needed (experience with special needs dogs who require being let outside/cleaned up after much more than other dogs).

About: I was raised by Cocker spaniels when I was little. I grew up loving animals, dogs and cats alike. Among the many gifts my parents gave my sister and I is the love for animals and the Lord. I live with my parents who have on property 7 horses and dogs. My sister breeds sheepadoodles and we dog sit for the families who bought my sister’s pups. When my parents go on vacation I will feed both, dogs and horses. I cat sit now twice a year for a friend from church and would love to get to know my local community by doing the same thing if possible. Very well. Especially if the customer/client is close. I’m pretty open and flexible with my schedule. Im always willing to help out and make things more comfortable and fun. I care for any animal with love and affection. I am very grateful for the opportunity and trust that comes I with loving an animal.

About: I have 24 years of hands-on pet care experience that has shaped how I approach every pet in my care. I've worked in veterinary hospital and emergency clinic settings, which gave me insight into animal health, behavior under stress, and the importance of following detailed care instructions precisely. That clinical background means I understand the nuances of how pets respond to different situations and how to keep them calm and secure. Beyond pet care, my background in health and wellness, private security, and farming has reinforced core values that directly translate to how I work with your pets: attention to detail, strict adherence to procedures, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. These experiences taught me that consistency and reliability aren't optional, they're foundational. I have solid behavioral training experience and can seamlessly maintain whatever training regimen your pet is already on, ensuring continuity and progress while they're in my care. I'm comfortable handling multiple pets at once and can manage moderately complex care situations, though I'm clear about my boundaries, I don't take on intense medical/veterinary tasks. What I do excel at is creating a stable, attentive environment where pets feel secure and owners feel confident their pets are in capable hands. I've structured my schedule to prioritize pet care full-time. This means I'm available to work around your needs and your pet's routine. Whether that's consistent weekly sits, last-minute coverage, or flexible arrangements. I'm selective about the clients I take on, so when we're a good fit, I'm fully committed to providing the level of care your best friend deserves I currently provide in-home care exclusively: drop-in visits for feeding and playtime, sitting services, and overnight stays. Because I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect and attention I give your pet. I follow your routines precisely: feeding schedules, training methods, house rules, and any special requests you have. Consistency is non-negotiable. Communication is built into everything I do. You'll know what's happening with your pet, and I'm accessible if anything comes up. My background in security and attention to detail means I'm naturally protective, both of your dog's wellbeing and your home. I've completed and cleared my Arizona Centralized background check, so you can have complete peace of mind. I understand that bringing someone into your home to care for your best friend is a significant decision. That's why I take every responsibility seriously, from the smallest detail about your pet's preferences to the security of your space. Your trust is everything.

About: I have 14 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My responsibilities have included feeding, walking, grooming, administering oral medications, and providing companionship. I'm comfortable with energetic dogs that require regular exercise as well as older pets with special needs. I understand feline behavior and ensure cats have a clean litter area, proper nutrition, and a stress-free environment. Hard to find someone that gets both sides of the business...primarily someone with a true compassion for animals/understanding of animal psychology <AND> someone who is reliable and detail oriented. Thomas embodies both! We have a challenging 12 year old dog (who, at first, is leery and around others and needs time to get to know) and he is also very willing and flexible to work with her to form a bond, which gives us incredible reassurance when we are not around. We trust Thomas and quite honestly, after working with others, he may be the very best caretaker we’ve had for our dog ever!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Anthem with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
