“Addyson took care of our 2 chihuahuas while we were away. She did a great job of making sure they had everything they needed. She kept us updated every visit and was always quick to respond. When we got home we had two adorable drawings of each dog and detailed puppy report cards. Thank you Addyson for all the help and love given to our little ones!”

“Jess was wonderful! She was very easy to communicate with and shared pictures every visit. She even brought in packages and put away frozen dog food for us. Definitely recommend trusting her with your furry ones!”

“Lauren was wonderful with Storm! What stood out the most was how punctual she was. She was there exactly when she said she would be and I felt very comfortable leaving Storm in her care. Thank you!!”

About: I was a vet technician for almost 3 years up until recently! I now work as a Business Development Manager for a start up company! I am available every day of the work week except, Saturdays and Sundays. I love both cats/dogs and have worked with all breeds and sizes. I have prior knowledge of medication and knowledge of post surgical care. I am quick on my feet and very loving! I have knowledge on how to handle skittish cats or dogs and I am very patient. I will take my time to earn your pets’ trust to make sure that they are comfortable with me. I have been raised around cats and dogs ever since I was a child and I am very fond of animals! I am not nervous around breeds like Rottweilers or pitbulls, because I have been around both. I will NOT work with dogs that have shown aggression or have previously bitten people. I am happy to answer any other questions you may have! I’m a Business Development Manager and I work daily, so I’m unavailable in the early mornings to late afternoons around 5. But I am always happy to try and figure out a schedule with you to make sure your pups/kitties are taken care of/watched/walked. Any rules you have set for me to ensure that I take the best care of your animals! I will follow guidelines and walk details!
“Dallas and I had a great experience with Bianca! When I first reached out she was very easy to communicate with. She did a meet and greet first and Dallas was immediately comfortable with her. She did drop-in visits with him and sent a detailed report and lots of pictures each time. Definitely would book again!”

“Annette is very reliable and a great communicator! My dog loves her and is always very happy to have her visit. I appreciate knowing he got a nice walk and lots of love!”

About: I am that girl that takes 20 minutes to leave the house because it takes me so long to say bye to my little friends. I love animals and have been around them my entire life. Grew up with little dogs and am now a cat mom. As a Realtor, my schedule changes from day to day, which gives me flexibility throughout the week. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or some extra attention, I can always find time each day to care for your pet and make sure they’re happy, safe, and well-loved. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make it a priority to follow their normal routine as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of affection. I’ll also keep their space clean, administer medications if needed (with instructions), and provide regular updates with photos so you know how they’re doing. If I’m caring for a pet in my home, they’ll have a safe, clean, and comfortable environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and supervised care. I always pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs to make sure they feel relaxed, secure, and loved while you’re away.
“My little cat has epilepsy and some loss of vision. Linda has been great administrating her meds, having patience with her sometimes unpredictable behaviors, and communicating with me. It’s supportive knowing she’s in good care when I’m gone.”

“Krista was wonderful with our two tabby’s. They both are usually shy around new people, however her loving energy won them both over immediately. I highly recommend Krista, she went above and beyond caring for our cats.”

About: I’ve had a dog since before I was 10. With the recent passing of our oldest dog, I currently have two dogs - one quiet & small (Gryffin), and one big & rambunctious (Charlie). I love them both dearly! My fiancée also has two dogs that I like to claim as my adopted pets (Presley & Rudy). I’m currently studying for the bar exam (certifying exam for lawyers) and am looking for some cash while I spend 40 hours a week studying as my full time job. This much studying is a lot of work and I’d love to have study companions get me through it! I have had dogs of all different dispositions (e.g., the reserved, the crazy, the explorer, etc.) and have the patience and compassion to love them all and ensure they all get the attention they deserve and need.
“First time using Rover Katelyn who took care of my cat Sherbet sent pictures/videos, she was there every day to feed and even play with him. My youngest has just graduated from high school so my schedule is quite free. I am available for drops in’s, walks/hikes, and overnights. I own an Irish Wolfhound and a pitbull mix. I am very active and run daily with my dogs. I am able to take dogs on long walks or hikes. I am comfortable with any size breed. I am respectful of any pet rules/schedules and follow accordingly.
“Lyla is the best pet sitter I have ever had. She went above and beyond to take very good care of my cat Alexia for 30 days. My cat is 18 years old, she previously had two seizures about seven months ago, and she had another episode while we were out of town. Lyla, acted very professional and cared really for Alexia. She called me to inform me, she called the Vet clinic, and the emergency pet hospital. She stayed longer with Alexia to make sure she was feeling better after the episode, and she helped her recover and calm down. Lyla, treated my cat and my house with a great respect, Alexia looked cleaned and happy and the house was tidy and clean. I will hire Lyla again and again, she is very nice, professional and reliable. She could literally handle any issues and she is willing to do anything to make your babies happy. Thank you very much Lyla for being such a great person.”

About: I’ve owned animals my whole life, including cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, and even turtles. So I am well rounded in my pet experience! I have owned senior animals as well and I have even taken care of animals with special needs. Pet care is a regular part of my day. I get up in the morning to feed, water and exercise my animals, and continue to do so multiple times throughout the day. I always approach new animals with caution. I’m gentle and kind and I allow them to approach me. I will ensure they get proper care and that they feel comfortable during the duration of the time that I am with them.
“Thank you so much Emma and Evelyn for spending time with our Stella and loving her to pieces!!! We always know she is safe and loved by you both which gives us peace of mind. She misses you already!”

“Ashley & Benjamin were incredible care takers while I was on vacation!! I’m new to Rover and it was very reassuring to know that Kota was being cared for. Ashley was super easy to communicate with and she consistently provided updates, with photos and videos which was great to see! We couldn’t more thankful for the care provided. Thank you!!”

About: I have been pet sitting for years and have worked with a variety of different volunteer organizations caring for dogs. I also have my own little dog, Roxy, who is 13 (and a certified diva). Roxy has heart failure, anxiety, and a bad hip, so I’ve become an expert at spotting when pets need a little extra care. Whether your dog is high-energy or super shy, I am patient, attentive, and want nothing more than to make them feel comfortable and safe while you’re away from home! I am currently a college student home for the summer, and am hoping to pet sit full time. Therefore, my availability is pretty much wide open. It’s very important to me that your pets have 100% of my attention, so I will never take two jobs at once. I understand that each pet has different wants, needs, and boundaries, so I do my best to make sure that I am able to make each pet as comfortable as possible. Whether it’s sticking to a daily routine or giving them some extra attention, I promise to treat your pet(s) like my own.
“Brynna did great work for us! We found our pups happy and healthy when we returned from our day trip. Brynna was professional and attentive and we look forward to working with her again!”
About: I have previous experience with dog/house sitting which include playing/walking, picking up after, feeding pet, & help retrieve mail/packages. I also enjoy just sitting with and making sure your pet is well loved while owners are away. I am currently working a part time job that I have had for 14 months in the restaurant business and am also an athlete, but all those activities range from 3-9 pm for 2 to 3 days a week. I am available early mornings, mid-day, and late nights. I can easily handle pets with love, care, and patience. I love going on walks with dogs and just live being around them. I had a dog throughout my whole childhood who was my best friend but sadly passed away 3 years ago.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carefree. On Rover:

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
