About: I’ve cared for my own dog since I was 12 and babysat many friends pets! I was also a dog nanny for 3 years where I drove or flew dogs from shelters and responsible breeders all over the US to give them forever homes. About: I have been pet sitting for years and have worked with a variety of different volunteer organizations caring for dogs. I also have my own little dog, Roxy, who is 13 (and a certified diva). Roxy has heart failure, anxiety, and a bad hip, so I’ve become an expert at spotting when pets need a little extra care. Whether your dog is high-energy or super shy, I am patient, attentive, and want nothing more than to make them feel comfortable and safe while you’re away from home! I am currently a college student home for the summer, and am hoping to pet sit full time. Therefore, my availability is pretty much wide open. It’s very important to me that your pets have 100% of my attention, so I will never take two jobs at once. About: In addition to house/pet sitting, I have owned numerous dogs and cats plus hamsters, fish, chickens, and horses. I enjoy working with animals and am open to caring for most types of pets. I have previous experience with Housecarers and Trusted Housesitters and can provide copies of reviews by pet owners. I am retired so my schedule is flexible. I am physically very active and able to handle extensive walking as needed. I do occasionally travel but plan my travel months in advance so it would not interfere with any scheduled sits or pet care. I am not available to care for pets in my home. I would be available both day or night to care for or sit for pets in your home. I am a walker, so dog walking is one of my favorite activities with pets.

“Lyla is the best pet sitter I have ever had. She went above and beyond to take very good care of my cat Alexia for 30 days. My cat is 18 years old, she previously had two seizures about seven months ago, and she had another episode while we were out of town. Lyla, acted very professional and cared really for Alexia. She called me to inform me, she called the Vet clinic, and the emergency pet hospital. She stayed longer with Alexia to make sure she was feeling better after the episode, and she helped her recover and calm down. Lyla, treated my cat and my house with a great respect, Alexia looked cleaned and happy and the house was tidy and clean. I will hire Lyla again and again, she is very nice, professional and reliable. She could literally handle any issues and she is willing to do anything to make your babies happy. I am available every day of the work week except, Saturdays and Sundays. I love both cats/dogs and have worked with all breeds and sizes. I am not nervous around breeds like Rottweilers or pitbulls, because I have been around both. I will NOT work with dogs that have shown aggression or have previously bitten people. I am happy to answer any other questions you may have! I’m a Business Development Manager and I work daily, so I’m unavailable in the early mornings to late afternoons around 5. But I am always happy to try and figure out a schedule with you to make sure your pups/kitties are taken care of/watched/walked. Any rules you have set for me to ensure that I take the best care of your animals! I will follow guidelines and walk details!
