About: I have been pet sitting/dog walking for many years. My youngest has just graduated high school so I have a very free schedule. I have owned dogs and cats most of my life. I currently have an Irish Wolfhound and a small Pit Bull. I have spent many hours volunteering at the Humane Society and fostering. I am a stay at home mom in Cave Creek. My youngest has just graduated from high school so my schedule is quite free. I am available for drops in’s, walks/hikes, and overnights. I own an Irish Wolfhound and a pitbull mix. I am very active and run daily with my dogs. I am able to take dogs on long walks or hikes. I am comfortable with any size breed. I am respectful of any pet rules/schedules and follow accordingly.

About: I’ve owned animals my whole life, including cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, and even turtles. So I am well rounded in my pet experience! I have owned senior animals as well and I have even taken care of animals with special needs. Pet care is a regular part of my day. I get up in the morning to feed, water and exercise my animals, and continue to do so multiple times throughout the day. I always approach new animals with caution. I’m gentle and kind and I allow them to approach me. I will ensure they get proper care and that they feel comfortable during the duration of the time that I am with them.
“Suzie was wonderful! I had no worries leaving my dog in her hands. They had a nice walk and she helped fill up the water bowl without me asking. Will definitely hire her again!”

About: In addition to house/pet sitting, I have owned numerous dogs and cats plus hamsters, fish, chickens, and horses. I enjoy working with animals and am open to caring for most types of pets. I have previous experience with Housecarers and Trusted Housesitters and can provide copies of reviews by pet owners. I am retired so my schedule is flexible. I am physically very active and able to handle extensive walking as needed. I do occasionally travel but plan my travel months in advance so it would not interfere with any scheduled sits or pet care. I am not available to care for pets in my home. I would be available both day or night to care for or sit for pets in your home. I am a walker, so dog walking is one of my favorite activities with pets.
About: I’ve cared for my own dog since I was 12 and babysat many friends pets! I was also a dog nanny for 3 years where I drove or flew dogs from shelters and responsible breeders all over the US to give them forever homes. I’d love to care for your pets when you might not have time to! I am currently in between jobs because of off season approaching so I am available full time for any pet sitting needs! I’d love to help you out with around the clock care! As of now my apartment is a not pet friendly but I’d be more then happy to stop by your house or stay overnight to make sure your pets needs are met.
“Nicholas is an excellent dog walker! He was very attentive to my dog and reliable. Very detailed feed back about the walks and went above and beyond caring for my dog. Definitely recommend!”

About: We are a family of 5 - mom, dad, as of 2024, a 7 year old boy, Anquan the old alphadog and Chase the young pup. (We just put our old pup down and can’t bring myself to fully change the profile yet but FYI, we just have Chase now 😥) We have grown up around dogs and had dogs of our own our whole lives. My mother-in -law bred dogs and walked in and judged dog shows, so our household has picked up a few tips and tricks for training and care. We love our pups and we will love yours too! We live in a house with a fenced yard and have a large trampoline my dogs like to sun bath on for some reason. We have grass and rocks in our backyard for your picky poopers, and when we take walks, they are down the canal and over to Papago since our street ends at the canal. We both work from home so we will be with the dogs all day, and my pups will be so happy to have new playmates. We have a young pup who will be happy to share toys and treats and tire your dogs out and we have an old man who is happy to share his couch space with your old guys. My husband started freelancing so he is happy to earn a little extra and come walk your dogs, or watch your dogs at your place as well. Up to you! We give our old man medicine so we are comfortable giving any meds that are needed, or administering special diets. Just let us know 😉🙃 FYI’s…. - We do not have any cats and will not watch cats in our home but are happy to do so in your home. - I feel for dog owners in apartments/condos, especially during the summer months, but if your dog does not know how to or won’t use the restroom on any surface but the patio, this does not work for us. Not only do we not want that on our patio but our patio is brick and the bricks are porous and stain easily. If this ends up being the case, it is our discretion to add a cleaning fee. - You are welcome to bring toys/bones as long as your pup doesn’t mind sharing and doesn’t have aggression attached to the item - You are welcome to bring toys, bed, whatever BUT you don’t have to as we have plenty to share and we are not responsible if the items gets damaged. We have two dogs and sometimes watch more than 1 dog at a time and you never know how animals will react to being in a new place with new dogs. So we can’t be responsible if a bed gets gnawed on or a toy get chewed. - All we really need is your dog food and treats. We also have treats but if your pup can have a sensitive stomach, we would rather have their treats. FYI - booking house sitting means you want us to Be at your home as much as possible with your pets and possibly sleeping over. If you just need someone to pop in to feed/walk/play - that’s is booking a “drop-in” We both work remotely and my husband only works part-time so we are always available but for exceptional situations which we will mark as unavailable. We already take care of our own 2 so we do walks first thing in the morning and after dinner. We also have a doggie door to our backyard. If we have your pups on the weekend, it’s not summer and your pup is capable, it is likely we will take a walk to the Hole In The Rock since it’s right down the canal from our house and a good distance for my kiddo and pups. But we will make sure to ask you what your pups can and can not do before doing so. Usually, the dogs are so exhausted from just playing in the yard all day that walks and hikes are last thing on their minds! I have a fenced in grass yard with a doggie door and two friendly pups to keep your pup company. I also have a little boy who loves dogs and the first thing he does when he gets home from school is play with the dogs. If we are coming to your home, your rules are your rules. We will just try to keep their schedule and structure as close to the one they are used to and it would just be one of us as someone will stay home with our pups. Happy to bring our pups over if you want a playdate while gone as well.
About: Hi! I’m Joe — a lifelong dog owner and pet-care professional with over four years of hands-on experience at Partners Dog Training, where I assisted with everything from puppy fundamentals to regression cases. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, and I love helping pups feel confident, safe, and understood. Whether your dog needs daily walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or training support, I bring patience, structure, and a whole lot of love. My goal is to build long-term relationships with families who want a dependable, friendly caregiver they can trust year-round. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! Pet care isn’t something I squeeze into my day — it truly shapes my day. I like to start my mornings with my first walks, giving each dog a calm, positive start. Whether it’s a quick potty break, a structured walk, or checking in on a pup who needs a little extra reassurance, beginning my day with dogs sets the tone for everything else. Throughout the day, I rotate between walks, drop-ins, and daycare clients. I make sure every dog gets individual attention, because I want them to feel seen, safe, and cared for. My training background helps me keep the day steady and organized, and I use small moments — like waiting at crosswalks or giving water breaks — to reinforce good habits and build trust. Afternoons are usually when I see my long-term or repeat clients, which is one of my favorite parts of this work. It gives me time to build real relationships with the dogs and their families, and to understand each dog’s personality on a deeper level. That consistency is important to me, and I know it matters to the families I help. By the end of the day, I wrap up with any last walks or training touch-ups, making sure every pup I spent time with feels comfortable and settled before I head home. Caring for dogs isn’t just part of my routine — it’s what I’m passionate about, and I truly love ending each day knowing I made their day better. Safety is always my top priority. With four years of hands-on experience assisting at Partners Dog Training, I’ve learned how to read body language, manage different temperaments, and create a structured environment where dogs feel secure. Whether I’m on a walk, doing a drop-in, or caring for a pup in daycare, I take the time to make sure every dog is comfortable and set up for success. I’m also big on building trust — not just with the dog, but with the family behind them. I communicate clearly, follow routines closely, and treat every dog as if they were my own. I understand that letting someone care for your pet is a big decision, and I want you to feel confident knowing your pup is with someone who genuinely cares about their well-being. Creating a calm, positive environment is part of every interaction I have. I use patience, gentle structure, and plenty of encouragement to help dogs feel relaxed and happy. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I take the time to meet them where they’re at and make sure they feel safe every step of the way.

About: Hi, I’m Lyla (a.k.a. Nejat on my reviews)—a caring mom of two (ages 16 and 2) and a lifelong animal lover. We’ve always had pets in our lives, and my girls are gentle, kind, and respectful with animals. I have a flexible schedule for walks and drop-ins, and for overnight sits it will be the three of us. We’ll treat your pets like family and your home with care. You can count on lots of love, attention, and reliable updates while you’re away. I’m currently building my own business, which gives me a very flexible schedule. That flexibility lets me be present and attentive with your pets. My daughter and I enjoy sharing the care, feeding, walking, and spending time with them, just like we do with our own. You can trust that your dog will always be safe, loved, and well cared for with us. We care for pets in my home or yours with the same love, safety, and attention I give my own. I’ll always honor your instruction how you would like your pet to be cared for.
About: Hi! My name is Rebecca, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets. I currently have two Great Danes (ages 11 and 2), two cats, and a chinchilla, so I’m very comfortable managing both large and small animals with different needs and personalities. Growing up with dogs has given me a strong understanding of behavior, training basics, and daily care routines. I’m especially experienced with large and giant breeds and understand their unique needs, including exercise limits, joint care, and bloat prevention in deep-chested dogs. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, as we recently lost our 9-year-old Great Dane, so I’m comfortable with slower-paced walks, medication routines, and providing gentle, attentive care for older pets. At the same time, I can keep up with high-energy dogs who need playtime, enrichment, and structured activity. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I treat every animal like my own and always prioritize their wellbeing, safety, and happiness. I work remotely part-time as a registered dietitian. My days are free after 9am for house visits. If making house visits, it would occur after that time. Walks during the summer are limited with heat, aim for evening or grassy fields to run some energy out during the day. In my client’s home, I care for pets by following their established routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding according to instructions, providing fresh water, regular potty breaks or walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I also make sure litter boxes are cleaned, accidents are addressed promptly, and the home is left tidy. For dogs, I prioritize safe leash handling, structured walks, and attention to each dog’s energy level and mobility needs. I’m experienced with large breeds and senior dogs, so I adjust activity accordingly and always prioritize safety (including awareness of bloat risk in deep-chested dogs like Great Danes). For cats, I focus on calm, respectful care—making sure they feel secure, keeping their environment clean, and giving attention based on their personality (whether they are social or prefer space). I also make sure litter boxes are cleaned daily and routines are consistent. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to provide reliable, attentive care so owners can feel confident while they’re away. I also provide updates and photos so you know your pets are safe and happy.
About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind since my teenage years. Friends, neighbors, family, and clients have relied on me to feed, walk, bathe, and nurture their dogs. I am currently teaching group fitness classes at EOS fitness gyms a few times per week. I am also enrolled in online Yoga certification program, so I am home most of the time and available most days of the week. I have a fenced yard and currently do not have any pets in my home. We are exploring dog fostering options. If you prefer, I can crate your dog if needed.
About: I have taken care of over 5 dogs in my household since I was 8. I’m very passionate about caring for dogs and making sure they are treated well. I’m currently a full-time student but have plenty of free time on the weekends and occasionally weekdays. I’m open to afternoon hours during weekdays and all hours during weekends. I will make sure your dog is well fed, has plenty of water, and stays happy and healthy. I will be sure to follow any specific instructions my client has left for me.

“After being with the same Rover walkers (they worked as a couple and recently moved away) for almost 2 years, we were nervous about entrusting our big, older dog to someone else. Justin eased our fears right away. Bamboo took to him immediately so that was the first thing. Justin let us know when he picked her up and dropped her off for her daily walks this week and he's also been super communicative via text -- something I really appreciate. We're looking forward to a lasting relationship with Justin!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
