About: Dogs have been an important part of our family over the last 40 years. Our current duo of dogs consists of our matron Elise age 9 and Bella who is 2 and in her pup teens. almost 2 years ago we lost our elder Sammy who had been ill for several years so I am accustomed to caring for senior dogs with ailments. Since entering the business I have provided 24 hour care in our dog centric pup room but am now transitioning what I do mainly to home visits as well as providing walks. I am experienced in working with dogs to learning new commands from multiple training courses I have participated in along with our two dogs, I am retired and dogs are my avocation. While others golf or travel, I am home the majority of time hanging out with my family which includes our two pups. Our mostly grass backyard is surrounded by a block wall as well as a pool fence surrounding our pool. Our pup den is dog-centric including the furniture and is dog proof which is uniquely different from in-residence boarding. The only external exit from this space leads into the backyard enclosure. My primary focus is to ensure the pup's routine is unchanged from when they are with their pup parents. Schedules and routines are strictly adhered to from feeding to walks and sleep time. Mental as well as physical exercise is stressed. Treat loaded puzzles to solve and hoop jumping are just a few examples. Finally special dietary needs are strictly observed including types of treats.
“Paige has been awesome with my dachshund corgi mix! He can be a little shy / territorial of new people entering the apartment but tucker has had no problems with Paige at all! He practices his “elevator manners” of sitting in the elevator like a good boy with her and enjoys having a nice lunch walk with her!”

About: As I kid I always grew up with at least two dogs and two cats in the house hold. With animals consistently apart of my life I understand that they are not only a pet, but a family member!! I can promise I will treat your family member with gentleness and love! I will dedicate my care and time to make sure your animal feels safe and loved while you’re away! I currently am a kindergarten teacher and I just got out for summer! So my schedule is completely open and gives me the opportunity to spend the most time with your family member! I take safety and care as the utmost importance when taking care of animals. I would not do anything without the approval of the owner!
About: My friends have trusted me to watch their pets while out of town. I am a pet lover and am happy to deliver a break to you and peace of mind, knowing your pet is being well cared for. This summer, I am available anytime. I am keen on setting a future schedule, so we can hopefully work a schedule out. Just reach out! I have a nice backyard with a brick fence so you don’t have to worry about your dog having outside time. If you crate your dog, I have the space to accommodate. For small/medium dogs, I have a large living room to play in the house chase. My backyard is big enough to throw a ball. I enjoy the outdoors and when weather permitting, I can hike and jog with your pet. I can walk frequently if high energy.
“I recently had to move into an apartment with my black lab Shadow. I felt so guilty about moving him to a small space, but I had no choice. I knew I needed someone to come let him out while I am work. I was a bit apprehensive about letting a stranger into my home. Tonya comes every day while I am at work and takes him for a potty break and a walk. She always texts me pictures and an update on how he did and all my fears have been eliminated. As long as I do my part and play ball with him before and after work he sleeps like a baby at night! Thank you Aunt Tonya for helping my recent transition to be a little bit easier??”
About: Growing up I had a variety of animals I cared for. Including cats, dogs, chickens and turtles. In my adult life I have had cats and dogs. I feed my animals daily, I play with my dogs, I bathe my dogs and make sure they have water as well. Depending on weather, I will take them outside. I have a fenced in back yard that allows the dogs to run around and play. I feed them twice daily, and insure they are meeting the required food intake.
About: I had greyhounds growing up and even had a chocolate lab for a couple years. Back home in Minnesota, our family dog is a 16 year old greyhound named Rainy! I currently have 2 kitties here in AZ, named Loofah and Krobus. I would love to meet your fur babies too! I simply love pets and it fills my heart with so much joy to see them happy and well cared for. I have years of experience walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, playing with animals, and of course feeding and giving them their much needed potty breaks. I have been a Rover sitter for almost 10 years throughout my schooling years. I am a Physician Assistant moving from Iowa but originally from Minnesota. My job does not start until late 2026 so I have a lot of time on my hands! I am a pretty happy go lucky person and can't wait to meet your pet! I am currently unemployed as I await for my Physician Assistant job to begin at the end of 2026. That said, I have all the time in the world for your pets! I make sure I know what things your pet might get into easily and adjust the environment appropriately. Their safety is as important as mine. I try to promote as normal of a routine for them as possible - I need to adjust to their routine, not the other way around.
About: From growing up on a farm in Hawaii along with raising my own livestock, I have now transitioned to living in Arizona where I take care of my own cats and dogs. As an animal lover with hands on experience I have built problem solving skills that can help me in every situation. Attention to detail and organizational skills are my strong suit making it easy for me to follow guidelines while also being prepared for the unexpected. I hope to provide a wonderful experience for your pets while giving you the peace of mind that your pets will be loved and cared for while your away! Pet care is currently my only obligation. While attending college has been my main focus, school breaks make it easy for me to fit your pets into any part of my schedule. With no obligations during my times away from college for breaks I am able to care for your pets at any time convenient to you! I plan to care for your pets with the upmost respect and dignity. Giving you and your pets the best experience is my top priority. I plan to follow every guideline given and make executive decisions when necessary. My top priority is the satisfaction of my customers both four legged and otherwise!
About: I have been a part time pet sitting for a variety of different animals for over six years. Not only am I well versed in caring for dogs and cats, but I have worked in the zoological field for five years both volunteering and paid work. Animal care and conservation has not only been an interest of mine but a life-long passion! Please be advised I am comfortable with giving oral medications but I have never preformed vaccines or inhalers on mammals. At this point in time this is my full time job! I am flexible with times! I take breaks midday to care for my own cat and reptiles at home. I am dedicated to the safety and health of every animal in my care. I ensure all locks are checked before leaving and that the pet will always have access to clean water. Pets are not just animals in your home but are very important parts of the family. I am comfortable with meet and greats prior to visitations to build trust with my clients.
About: I work a full time job from Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, but I can still do house visits and house sitting around my work schedule. I have had pets for 40 years. I have had birds, cats, and dogs. I currently have three dogs I take to the park almost every day before I go to work. I have sat pets for friends and family at their homes while they were away from a day to a few weeks. My full time work hours are Sunday through Thursday from noon to midnight, but I still have time to house sit or do drop in visits when I can. I promise to take as good a care of your babies as I do my own. I would prefer to take care of your fur baby at your home where he/she is more comfortable. I can also house sit if needed.
“Perfect sitter for my boy. She took him for jogs and made sure he was treated and watered prior to leaving. She even brought my packages in for me which was so nice and above and beyond. Thank you 🙂”

About: Your dog deserves exceptional care, and that is exactly what I provide. I make sure every pup gets plenty of exercise, attention, and affection while staying safe, comfortable, and happy. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from tiny Shih Tzus to Great Danes, and I tailor every stay to each dog's unique needs and personality. Whether your pup loves long walks, structured playtime, or calm companionship, I adjust my care to match their routine. What sets me apart is my background. As a former firefighter and paramedic and a long-time dog owner, I bring a calm, reliable, safety-first approach to every visit. You can trust that your dog will be in capable and caring hands. I am new to the Phoenix area and excited to build lasting connections with both dogs and their humans. I look forward to meeting you and giving your pup the best experience possible. I do consulting and work from home, so pet care fits really easily into my day. I have a flexible schedule and can give dogs plenty of attention, walks, and check-ins throughout the day. I can usually adjust to whatever routine your dog is used to, and I’m around enough to make sure they always feel cared for. When I’m caring for pets, their safety and comfort come first. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can make sure they feel secure and relaxed. I pay close attention to things like gates, doors, leashes, and anything in the home that could pose a risk. For walks and drop-in visits, I keep your dog on a secure leash, watch for heat and pavement temperature, and make sure they always have water. I never combine dogs from different households, and I stay focused on your pet at all times. If I am caring for your dog in your home, I treat your space with respect and keep everything as close to your normal routine as possible. I send regular updates so you know your dog is safe, comfortable, and having a good time. My goal is to make sure both you and your dog feel totally confident and at ease while they are in my care.
“Andrew was wonderful with Maya and Molly. This was our first time using Rover, so we were a little nervous, but he made the whole experience very comfortable and reassuring. He kept us updated, was very thoughtful, and clearly cared about the dogs. We really appreciated how well he treated them. Thank you again, Andrew!”

“Jennifer was so good to my dogs! She kept me updated and responded really quickly. I was able to book her for a walk and a drop by later during the same day, both last minute bookings. Would absolutely book again!”

About: Hi, I’m Hope! 🐾 Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with both big and small dogs, everything from sassy Chihuahuas to lovable Labs, so I’m confident and comfortable caring for all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I even helped raise two Labrador Retrievers from puppyhood, which taught me a lot about training, patience, and just how much love big dogs have to give. I also worked at a doggy daycare, where I cared for dogs with a wide range of needs, including medical conditions. I’m experienced in administering medications, handling feeding routines, and making sure every pup feels safe, loved, and seen. These days, I’m a proud cat mom to two adorable kittens, Luke (Bubbie) and Leia (Sissy). They’re siblings with huge personalities. Luke is the snuggly sweetheart, while Leia rules the house with her sass and spunk. Caring for them has made me even more detail-oriented and responsive to each pet’s unique needs. Whether you’re looking for someone to walk your energetic pup, check in on your cats, or care for your pets while you’re away, I’ll treat your animals like they’re my own. Let’s connect, I’d love to meet your furry family! I currently work from home so I have lots of flexibility! I am lowkey on the weekends - gym, chores, and binge watch tv. I am a homebody so your pets would never be left alone for an extended period of time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or in yours, I focus on keeping things clean, calm, and consistent—just like you would. I follow your pet’s usual routine to help them feel safe and comfortable, whether that means feeding schedules, walk times, or favorite spots to relax. At home, I’m super attentive to cleanliness—especially with cats. I clean the litter box 2–3 times a day because I have a really strong sense of smell and can’t stand odors hanging around. I believe a fresh environment makes pets feel more at ease, and it helps prevent any stress-related behavior, especially with cats. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll follow your directions exactly and treat your space with respect. I’m detail-oriented and like to keep things tidy, so your pet can feel relaxed and happy while you’re away. Plus, I always keep pet parents in the loop with updates and cute pics, so you never have to wonder how your furry friend is doing!

“Victoria has been amazing for the daily walks with my dog while I’m at work! She sends so many pictures, writes a paragraph telling me all about their walk, and asks thoughtful questions to make sure she knows all about my pup. She even was able to come on a second daily walk super last minute at night because of a schedule change for me at work. 10/10 recommend!! Thank you Victoria!”

Vanessa took amazing care of my pup! She was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. It’s clear that she truly cares about the fur babies she looks after. She made sure my pup was comfortable and happy the entire time. I’m so grateful for her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

She is the absolute best communicator and will go above and beyond for your pet! My dog had broken his foot unexpectedly and she really went the extra mile to help me while I was at work. She is beyond, sweet and caring. We are so blessed to have her! I couldn't recommend her more!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
