“Definitely would recommend!!! My Daisy is very attached to me and has never been in someone else's care. The 2nd day when she got out of car she ran up to the door and couldn’t wait to dart in not even looking back at me. I got several updates & photos throughout the day. Will be booking with Christian & Hana again!”

“Emily was great with my dog Gojo! He had so much fun playing with her dog Peppa. She updated me on how he was doing throughout the day and sent pictures of his stay. He came home after a day of fun tired and it was reassuring to know he was in the care of an amazing sitter. I would definitely book again!”

About: My husband and I have opposite schedule so there is somebody here all the time. I grew up on a small farm and have surrounded my self with animals my whole life. I am a nurse by trade and am skilled at caring for small humans and animals alike. I spend a lot of time with my own pets and take every opportunity to spend time with my friends’ pets as well. My husband managed a small rural pet store for many years. He is very knowledgeable on care of all different kinds of animals, and loves them too. I only work three days per week so I am home more than 50% of the time. Additionally my husband and I work opposite schedules to manage our young teenage daughter’s schedule, so there is always someone here. Our pets are a very prominent part of our lives but we have room in our hears and our home for more. I have a fully fenced yard and a pet door into the home that is always open. I have one friendly dog, a pig, two cats, and a hedgehog. The pets share our living space and are allowed on the furniture. I am a nurse by trade and am skilled at caring for humans and animals.
“Chelsea was FANTASTIC with Moose! I needed someone to watch him a few hours last minute and not only did she come through, he was POOPED afterwards! I will absolutely use her again!”

“Cindy is fantastic. Our dog spent a few workdays while one of us was traveling, and he clearly felt comfortable and happy while at the same time Cindy provided a structured, calm, and enriching environment for him. He got walks and puzzles and even another dog friend to play with on occasion. Cindy was very patient, attentive, and kind. She has an excellent confident demeanor and establishes boundaries effectively and naturally with the pups. I would recommend Cindy in a heartbeat.”
About: I’ve been a lifelong pet owner with years of hands‑on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. My journey has grown from family pets to more advanced training — I’m currently working with two active working dogs in sport, focusing on obedience, impulse control, and bitework foundations. Alongside this, I’m wrapping up my Dog Obedience Trainer certification program through Animal Behavior College, which has given me formal training in behavior modification, positive reinforcement, and client communication. This combination of personal dedication, professional coursework, and real‑world training means I bring both compassion and structure to every dog I work with. Whether it’s daily care, structured exercise, or specialized training, I’m committed to creating a safe, enriching environment where dogs can thrive. We are home 24/7, ready to fulfill your pets' needs. We are always providing engagement, enrichment, and exercise for our pets and yours. We can also take dogs out for socialization. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. I maintain a secure, pet‑friendly environment with a fenced yard and two well‑socialized dogs to provide companionship. I’m experienced in crate training and can easily accommodate dogs who need their own space or structured downtime. Because I’ve completed my coursework and internship through Animal Behavior College and am currently training two working dogs for sport, I bring both professional knowledge and practical experience to every interaction. I understand how to read canine body language, manage play safely, and reinforce positive behaviors. You can trust that your pup will be cared for with patience, consistency, and respect. Whether it’s boarding, training, or daily care, I create a safe and enriching environment where dogs thrive and owners feel confident.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
