“Madison did a great job caring for my dogs and house. The dogs were happy and well cared for and the house was neat and as I left it. Very happy with experience and will definitely request Madison again.”

“We’ve been using Rover now for, well since it was created, and have had mostly good caregivers for our dog. Over the years we’ve probably used 15 or so sitters. Part of being satisfied is not expecting perfection, so we never do. If you keep the house from burning down and our dog is safe that is our basis for satisfaction. We have had sitters arrive late, leave early, bend the truth, and even take supplies from our house, so when you find someone whose nature is to genuinely care, to be sincere, and to deliver a service that is better because her standard is just better, it sure makes you grateful. Someone taught her long ago that communication is important, that pet owners want to be in the know, so they don’t have to worry. Julia is simply the best provider we have experienced on Rover. She just gets it, and that means so much to us. From arriving when she says she will each and every time, to letting us know how our dog was doing, to caring for our house and belongings as if they were her own. She even took the time to make sure our return was on time and to make herself available of if we were to be delayed. For selfish reasons, i dont want anyone to book her, but she deserves to be the busiest Rover pet sitter ever and im sure she will be. Thank you Julia!”
“Daisy house sat for us overnight while we were out of town for our 4 pups. We felt very comfortable with Daisy when we met her for the meet and greet and knew our fur babies would be in good hands. She was very professional and great with communication and sending us some pictures. We came home to a clean house and happy pups. We would definitely book with Daisy again and highly recommend her!”

“Makayla was an absolute amazing cat and house sitter! She was able to jump in last minute to sit when something came up. Makayla was very communicative, gave regular updates and cleaned up. Went above and beyond what was needed. I will 100% use her again and highly recommend.”

“Krishna did a wonderful job with our 3 year old pitty. He got PLENTLY of attention and was let out and played with every day! We also had Krishna house sit for us which was really stressful 1.) leaving our puppy, 2.) leaving someone else in charge of the house. After meeting her within 5 minutes we were comfortable leaving not just our puppy but the house in her care. Thank you for a great job. Church now has another best friend!”

“Kailyn did a great job house sitting. Phoebe’s eating schedule was followed, and Kailyn stayed in consistent communication with me. Thank you Kailyn, I came home to a happy dog🤗 Will definitely use Kailyn again in the future.”

“Sydni is fantastic. Due to a variety of issues I needed to find a sitter last minute - literally less than 24 hours before a business trip, and with my limited options Sydni was able to help with the coverage I needed. On top of this, my kiddo’s warmed up to Sydni quickly and I felt confident they were in reliable care during a portion of the time I was gone. Thank you so much Sydni and I’m grateful for your tremendous help!”

“Rebecca is awesome! She took phenomenal care of our dogs while we were away on a short trip. She is so professional, kind, and caring. Our dogs absolutely loved her! She was very easy to communicate with and was excellent about keeping us informed. We would recommend her to anyone and we will definitely rebook with her!”

“We have a very high energy Pit Bull and she had no problems taking care of him. She even stayed late when I had the pickup time wrong without me asking her. Our baby seemed happy when we got home without signs of stress or anxiety. The house was just as clean as we left it and the room she stayed in was spotless. We will use her again.”

“First time using rover but Callie made this experience a breeze. She is great at taking care of animals. She made sure to keep me updated on how my dogs were doing. She sent lots of updates and pictures. She even helped with medication and took care of one of my pups with an eye issue that resolved itself. I would highly recommend and will book again with Callie. Thank you”

“Another successful stay with Will! Our pups were genuinely excited to see Will…so much so, I don’t think they even noticed we left! Will was consistent with his communication, sending photos & videos & went above and beyond to ensure pills were administered on schedule while we were away. We had a trip free of anxiety thanks to Will & his care. We found a gem in a sitter!”

“Alyssa was great with my dog Olly. She was on time and takes directions well. She has an amazing positive personality. She goes above and beyond. I definitely recommend her and will keep her in mind in the future”

“We absolutely love our new friend, Lacey!! I’m so grateful we found her to care for our sweet 6-month-old mini dachshund and little bundle of joy, 🐶 Olive. She went above and beyond, sharing videos and updates throughout the evening, which gave us so much comfort and peace of mind. It was our first time leaving Olive with someone outside of family, and Lacey made the entire experience feel easy and reassuring. We’re incredibly thankful and will absolutely be reaching out to her again. 💛 xoxo”

“Julie took amazing care of Knox while I was away, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. She sent regular updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease, and it was clear my fur baby was happy, comfortable, and well-loved. I will absolutely be using Julie again in the future. She is such a trustworthy, responsible, and caring pet sitter!”

About: Hi! I’m Amanda, a nursing student and lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of pet sitting experience. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from chihuahuas to greyhounds, labs, and pitbulls. I’ve also done extensive training work with my own dogs through both private lessons and group classes, and I have family members who work as professional dog trainers at Zoom Room. In addition to dog sitting, I’ve also cared for cats for family and friends and am comfortable helping with feeding, playtime, litter box care, and companionship. I love staying active with dogs through walks, hikes, and playtime, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. As a nursing student, my schedule this summer is very flexible since most of my coursework is online. Outside of being in class on Mondays, I’m able to structure my days around pet care responsibilities such as walks, feedings, playtime, check-ins, and overnight stays. Caring for animals already plays a big role in my daily routine with my own dog, and I genuinely enjoy building pet care into my schedule. I also stay active and love incorporating walks and outdoor time into my day whenever possible. At this time, I only offer care in my clients’ homes so pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I aim to provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs, whether that includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication administration if needed, litter box care, or simply companionship and comfort. I also understand how important communication is while owners are away, so I make sure to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

“Alyssa was absolutely amazing! She stepped in at the last minute after our original dog sitter fell through, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Even though it was her first time caring for our dogs, she made us feel completely at ease. She sent us regular updates and pictures, walked our dogs every day, and gave them so much love and attention. Because of her, we were able to fully relax and enjoy our trip, knowing our dogs were in great hands. She also took wonderful care of our home and it was spotless and exactly as we left it when we returned. We are so grateful for Alyssa's help and will absolutely be using her again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter.”

“My dogs loved Alexandra. I could tell how happy they were when we got home and in their interactions with her. She was responsive, communicative and we felt so comfortable with her in our home. Murray and Livie can't wait for her to come back and stay with them!”

“Heather cared for our three dogs in our home for 10 days, and she was absolutely amazing! She truly went above and beyond in every way. I received detailed updates twice a day that included information about feedings, potty breaks, and how the dogs were doing overall, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also sent lots of pictures every day, which we loved. Heather cared for our pets and our home as if they were her own. We felt completely comfortable and confident while we were away. We will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Komatke on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,908 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Komatke. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Komatke walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Komatke maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Komatke choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Komatke. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
