About: From my earliest memories, I've always believed that dogs and cats are akin to young children: beings brimming with love, requiring constant attention, care, and affection. Unlike children who grow up and become independent, our pets remain eternal children, lifelong commitments that we cherish every day. This philosophy has guided me throughout my 20+ years of hands-on experience with animals. My passion for animals isn't just limited to personal care. Back in my home country, Ecuador, I dedicated over a decade to rescuing, nurturing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals that had been abandoned or mistreated. I undertook this mission with love, from my own home, and with the assistance of veterinary professionals. Parallelly, as a university lecturer, I developed and led the "Güeyitas Project" in Guayaquil, aimed at educating children and adults about responsible coexistence with pets. My ability to care for animals in critical health conditions, administer medications accurately, and above all, my love for walking and playing with dogs and cats. Additionally, I'm part of the team behind various programs and books designed to enhance the bond between people and their pets. I have a broad availability, being able to care for pets every day of the week. When I care for a pet in my home, I follow a specific protocol to ensure their comfort and safety. I take them for a leashed walk before entering, allow them to explore the house, and then introduce them to my pets one by one. I typically don't use cages or kennels unless preferred by the owner. With my experience in caring for senior dogs, I've learned that frequent walks help prevent any mishaps at home. I live in an apartment that's child-proofed for a 2-year-old, ensuring all doors and windows leading outside are always securely closed and monitored. I have two lovely senior pets, aged 14 and 16, who, due to their age, spend most of their day resting in my room. When I care for a pet in my home, I follow a specific protocol to ensure their comfort and safety. If you entrust me with your pet's care in your home, I'll adhere to all safety protocols you provide, but I'll always walk your dog with its collar on. Trust in my experience and passion. Your pet will be in loving and expert hands.

“Lauren is a phenomenal dog mom who has endless love for all animals. Lauren has cared for all 3 of my dogs, multiple times, within the past few years. Throughtout their stays with her, she treats them as if they are her own. She has the sweetest doodle who gets along with all dogs. She was able to work from home and give my dogs excellent attention. She plays with them constantly ( mind games and physical exercise) she also practices basic obedience. I can be a very demanding and particular dog mom but Lauren has respected all my care guidelines and always made me feel at ease with communication and photos. I had a dog who needed medicine at specific times and I knew I could trust her to care for my recovering pup. Lauren is very professional and I could not recommend her any more. I absolutely love her and so do my animals! Not sure if she is offering sitting to other animals or if she just helped me out a few times with my bearded dragon but she also has experience caring for beardies :)”

About: I've owned 6 cats and 1 dog for 10+ years. I've moved across the country for a little over a year now, but had to leave my furry friends back at home with the rest of my family. I've taken care of dogs for multiple family members and friends. I miss being around my pets so I would love to be able to help take care of someone else's. I live both an active and homebody lifestyle that I'm able to adapt around any pet. I'm comfortable with walking, feeding, grooming, and playing with both dogs and cats :) I currently work full time M-F from 6 AM - 3 PM. Please see below for my available weekly schedule: Mon-Fri: Late afternoon/evening check-ins Fri-Sun: All-day check ins/walks + overnight boarding *Fridays will be limited to late afternoon/evening check ins and overnight boarding I live in an apartment with my boyfriend and his brother. There is a large park just right next to our complex that is available for playtime and walks at anytime of the day.
