“Allison is great! She had great communication and gave updates on their time together. Easy to work with and made sure Georgie was well loved! Thank you!”

About: I'm currently a grad student with a flexible schedule, and honestly, time outdoors with a dog is my favorite way to recharge and get away from the screen. A good walk or an afternoon of play doesn't feel like a chore to me — it's the part of my day I look forward to. That means your dog gets someone with the energy and genuine enthusiasm to keep up with them, not just clock in and out. I grew up with a golden retriever and was the one taking care of him solo whenever my parents traveled for work, so I've been the trusted "person in charge" since I was a kid. I offer dog walking, doggy day care, and drop-in visits & house sitting, and I'm comfortable with everyone from high-energy pups to laid-back loungers. Whether your dog needs a good walk, some company, or a full day of play, I'll treat them like my own. Can't wait to meet you both! As a grad student with a flexible, largely home-based schedule, I can give your pet real attention and keep to their routine. Through the summer I'm generally free all day, every day, except Sunday mornings. Because I'm home and around for most of the day, I can stick to your pet's normal routine — feedings, walks, meds, and play at the times they're used to — and send you updates and photos so you always know how they're doing. If you have a specific schedule you'd like me to follow, just let me know and I'll build my day around it. Doggy day care: I'm in a comfortable 750 sq ft one-bedroom apartment with easy access to Rittenhouse Square, so your dog gets a cozy home base plus plenty of nearby green space for walks, play, and bathroom breaks throughout the day. They'll have my attention, a steady routine, and regular trips outside rather than being left to lounge alone. Dog drop-in visits: I like to be thorough so your dog's day feels exactly like it does when you're home. Before your first visit, I'll ask where to find the spare leash, poop bags, water, and treats, and I'll want to know your usual walking route and routine. The more detail you can share, the better — I'd genuinely rather have too many instructions than too few, so your pup gets the same care and rhythm they're used to. Cat drop-in visits: For cats, I pay close attention to the details that keep them comfortable while you're away. I'll ask where the litter box is, whether it needs refilling, and exactly how you'd like it cleaned, plus where to find food, water, and treats. I also like to know their favorite toy and how they usually like to play or spend their day, so I can match their normal routine rather than disrupt it. Clear instructions are always welcome — I'd rather follow your way of doing things to the letter.

“Diana took amazing care of Rocky and Jiji while we were away! She was very responsive and sent us lots of pictures! I would highly recommend Diana to all looking for someone to take excellent care of their pets!”

“Maddy is wonderful! She helped me out with a last minute request, was punctual and friendly and took great care of my dog! She obviously truly loves animals, and my pup fell in love with her from the moment they met! Maddy sends great little updates and pictures, and follows care instructions as well. Would definitely recommend booking your pet care with Maddy!”

“Ari was exceptional! She was amazing with our two year old ‘puppy’. Her communication was excellent. She kept us updated on everything and observed lots of little details that gave us great confidence she was on top of everything. I would highly recommend her.”

“Ben was a great pick to take care of my pups. He was very responsive and enthusiastic . I unfortunately did not have enough food at the house and Ben offered to go out of his way and pick up some dog food. He went above and beyond ! Would highly recommend .”

“Basil can back happy and tired! Reno was promptly and my dog immediately went up to say hi. He made sure to walk Basil as far as he could so she could get her steps in! Definitely recommend”

“Taylor is such a sweetheart. She met up with Cindy Lou before she walked her and got to know her better. She made my Duracell bunny of a puppy feel super safe, calm, and gave her plenty of snuggles. Cindy sometimes chews through stuff when we’re not home but none of that happened yesterday. She looked super happy after her walks with Taylor. I’ve already booked another walk with her. 🐾”

“We had a great time meeting Greg for our first meet and greet/walk. He even made Pinto feel at ease - and that’s a tough sell. We are looking forward to booking future walks and pet sitting with Greg.”

“Brittany has been a lifesaver walking my 75lb hippo-headed put bull while I’m at work. She’s so flexible and communicative! Highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Kristina was communicative and great with my dog! She took him on a long walk and gave me lots of updates and pictures, highly dependable and great communication!”

“We LOVE Lydia! She goes above and beyond with our pups and is so consistent. We feel so at ease going out of town knowing our pets are in her care.”

“I needed someone last minute to help walk Buster and Jenny was so quick to respond and help out. Our boy looked happy and even our cats got some attention while she dropped in. She’s easy to work with and very communicative. Thank you Jenny!!!”

About: I am an animal lover, and I would be overjoyed to walk, feed, and keep your pet company. I grew up with dogs and cats and have experience dog sitting my neighbor's Goldendoodle. While I was in high school, I volunteered at ACCT Philly on numerous occasions and now volunteer at Morris Animal Refuge doing various tasks such as playing with some of the dogs in the outdoor pens, cleaning their cages, and making them toys. I've learned a lot from my time volunteering, and use my experience from my time there to connect with all kinds of dogs. I also work from home which allows me to have a pretty flexible schedule, so I can do last minute emergencies if the opportunity arises. I work from home, so I spend majority of my time alone, and would love to have the company of your pet with me. My schedule allows me to attend to dogs by giving them as many belly rubs as they need, feeding them throughout the day, and taking them on multiple long walks since I am not tied to my desk all day. I have a small back patio that pets can go out onto and sunbath on, multiple comfy couches for them to lay on, and plenty of parks nearby where I can safely walk them. I want them to feel as comfortable and at home as possible.

“Brian was incredibly thoughtful and flexible with my dog who's skittish around new people. Went above and beyond thinking through ways that we could help her be comfortable. Was also very flexible with my schedule that ended up being a little crazy.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Philadelphia
Megan was fantastic! Milo absolutely loved her. She was very communicative and responsive, always sending cute pictures and giving a detailed report of the walk. When the weather kept them from walking, she would play with Milo at home instead. She always made sure Milo had fresh water before leaving and was very attentive. We highly recommend her. It was a pleasure working with her!

Sydney was an absolute trooper getting the harness on my dog. Penny was very skittish about someone else putting it on her, but they were super patient and had a successful walk! They also paid great attention to the house alarm system/lock and had no issues with following directions. Would highly recommend for their calm, patient, and caring attitude!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
