Welcome to The Chopperoni, a doggy homestay hotel located near Fishtown in Philly! ✨ Hello, dear humans and pupperonis! My name is Kira and I'm the head Chopperone at the Chopperoni, named so after my weiner boy Chopper. I'm a semi-retired programmer who works in app development and consulting. I work from home about 0-10 hours a week, which allows me to pursue pet-sitting as a full-time hobby! All profits go towards new toys, treats, and supplies. We welcome all pups 40lbs and under, and here's a list of what you can expect from your baby's stay with us: • 3-4 daily walks (more if needed) • Dogs welcome on all furniture and sleep in bed with me • 10-20 photos PER DAY • Playtime tailored to your dog's preferences and energy level • Plenty of cuddles and affection for dogs who enjoy them • Respectful space for independent, shy, or low-contact dogs • Playmates for maximum socialization! There are 3 resident dogs and I host up to 3 boarders at a time. We are either napping, going for a walk, playing, or sleeping together 🤣🤣🤣 • Meet and Greets are required to ensure all dogs get along! As a devoted dog mom, I know how hard it can be to leave your babies in someone else's care. But I'm here to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where both you and your pup can feel at ease. Thanks to being semi-retired, I'm pretty much around all day every day and can give the pups plenty of attention and companionship. They will enjoy 3–4 walks daily (or more if needed), along with dedicated playtime tailored to their individual personalities, energy levels, and preferences. All dogs are welcome on the furniture and are free to sleep in bed with me if they choose. Whether your pup loves to play, cuddle, explore, or simply relax, I'll do my best to make them feel right at home! I've had two rescue dogs of my own since 2021, both of whom I adopted when they were 5–6 years old. My experience with dog care goes back even further, helping care for a family member's senior dog and was heavily involved in their daily routine. I'm especially experienced with senior dogs, administering medications, basic grooming, and caring for pups who may be anxious, independent, mildly grumpy, or simply prefer having their own space respected. At the same time, I'm active and energetic enough to keep up with younger dogs and those young at heart. I'm happy to match their energy level and make sure they get the physical and mental stimulation they need. I am home pretty much all the time! I have so much free time I can literally give the dogs my attention all day haha I only leave for 1-2 hours at a time to run my errands. My two-story apartment has 3 friendly dogs (1 tiny, 1 small, 1 medium) and all dogs are allowed to roam freely. The basement where my bedroom is has a big living space that's perfect for playing. There's a grassy patch of land across the street where we take the dogs for potty breaks, and we usually take the dogs to Norris Square for their walks.

About: I fostered dogs from various shelters while living in Philadelphia from 2021-2026. I have mostly worked with Pitties, however, I have taken care of small dogs as well. Most of the dogs I have fostered have needed medication and special care, and I will not shy away from that if need be. Furthermore, I took in an 8-week old puppy on my own for 3 months which has given me plenty of puppy experience. I absolutely love dogs and treat each one with love and care. I am a law student and am happy to take your pup for a walk, or to have a companion at my apartment while studying. I am available during working hours each day of the week, and I really only leave my apartment on weekdays for class, 3-4 hours at a time. I live 15 minutes from school so it is easy for me to go back and forth. Letting the dog out multiple times to use the restroom (or take them for walks periodically), I enjoy playing with dogs to keep them occupied, can supply toys, and giving them a comfortable place in my home to rest (I do allow pets on my furniture).

About: I’ve had a pet in the family since I was about 10. First an iguana, then a canary, a cat, a dog, another dog, and for the first time I don’t have a pet in the house. I love to walk, give pets, I’ve trained two dogs (patiently), and taken care of medical needs for senior dogs. I currently volunteer as a walker at Doggy Style Pets for dogs up for adoption. Currently work from home so plenty of time to play and walk. My day is pretty flexible as well so more than willing to work with busy dog parents. I have a fenced in yard and live near Kelly drive so plenty of places to walk or be outside. As far as sitting at a clients house, as long as I have a place to sit and WiFi I can work from, I can be available to sit in home while respecting your space.

About: I have grown up with pets and I am always the go to person for friends when needing a dog sitter or watcher. I will care for them like my own. I am currently working full-time from home so I have a lot of flexibility to make time for dog sitting and watching. I would prefer to schedule on weekends. I have an apartment with enough space for a dog to move around and have a park within 5 minutes away to walk to. I have no issues with pets being on my couch or bed.

About: I love meeting new pet parents and taking care of their dogs! I love going on walks, so why not take the dogs with me😊 I have two dogs myself and since I’m away at college really makes me miss them. I hope I get to meet yours!! I am very flexible with different times of the day, but also specific days as well. Mainly free in the mornings and mostly anytime before two. I take special care of anyone’s dogs! About: Through veterinary assisting and even working for major pet insurance companies, I've learned so much about how important caring for your pets can be. I would always treat any pet as if they were my own. Extremely flexible schedule; please let me know if you have any questions regarding scheduling. Feel free to message me at any time. I also can be available early mornings. I would follow any rules set by the Pet Parent/Parents while within their home. Examples include, administering medication on time, set feeding schedules and set play times.

I usually spend my free time pet sitting for both family and friends, and I've previously worked in another pet care company here in Center City.
