“I cannot recommend Ana enough! Not only was i able to book her and do a meet and greet in a pinch but she is so attentive and made sure my dogs felt completely comfortable with her right away. I really appreciate how communicative she is—she let me know if they had any bathroom issues or behavior quirks. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing they are in such great hands!"”

About: I am a full-time cat sitter, so I can easily accommodate your cat’s schedule. I’m available most days for playtime, feeding, and cuddles :) From one cat owner to another, I take this role and its responsibilities very seriously. I prioritize your cat’s well-being while respecting the space and privacy. I follow instructions closely, ensuring feeding, exercise, and medication needs are met. I maintain cleanliness and tidiness, and will write notes/updates for you throughout📝 I'll make sure your cat feels right at home while you're away. You can rest easy knowing they're in good hands with me!
“Sarah did an absolute wonderful job walking Bruce for us. She spent extra time with him knowing that he was home alone & went out of her way to help us clean up an accident since we’re still working through potty training. We will absolutely be booking with her again & highly recommend her!!! She made Bruce feel calm and connected quickly! We are very thankful.”

“Anne was so great with my pup! I was out of town for the night and she made sure my Darla was well taken care of. Appreciated the attentiveness and all of the updates :)”

“Amanda was great! Walked my little chihuahua whippet mix dog 2X’s daily for 5 days. She was on time and walked him for full 30 minutes. She sent pictures of their walk showing his walk throughout the neighborhood. She jogged with him for a portion of each walk to give him a good workout. My dog was so happy to see her each time she arrived. I highly recommend her!”

About: I grew up with multiple dogs and so have had experience since youth walking, feeding, and caring for them. In my adult life I have co-owned one dog for around 6 years and worked to house-train him and correct some behavior issues via positive reinforcement. I have also owned multiple cats over the past 16 years including raising one from kittenhood to adulthood. For the past 2.5 years I have been volunteering regularly with the in-house dogs at the PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) Gray's Ferry clinic. My responsibilities include giving the dogs ample enrichment time outside by playing with them and positively reinforcing good behaviors, as well as feeding and cleaning up after them. I have worked there with all different dog sizes and age ranges, including puppies and seniors. I am available for check-ins mornings, mid afternoon, and evenings as well as overnight care as needed. I am not currently available for boarding dogs at my home. I do not accept sitting requests for unspayed/unneutered dogs. I currently do not own any dogs but I do own one high-anxiety cat whose behavior is being managed well with daily medications mixed in with his food. I'm very patient with both cats and dogs and am always ready to give them plenty of space to approach me and begin to feel comfortable with me in their own time. I am comfortable caring for dogs via feeding, walks, playtime, and medicating as needed. For cats I can provide feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime or just hanging out, and medicating as necessary. I have experience pilling cats if the cat's personality allows for this.
“John walked our quirky high energy pup for his first ever walk not from the two of us, and we couldn’t be happier. He gave great updates along the way and took him on a nice long walk. So communicative and helpful, a real pro who made the whole experience feel managed and safe. We’re grateful and look forward to booking with John again!”

“My Luna girl LOVED Makaylah and was comfortable with her from the get go- which doesn’t always happen as Luna has… big feels lol. Makaylah handled her well, gave her good exercise, and communicated well with me regarding walks (and her move 😔)Sad to see her move away, she is great!”

“Areana has been absolutely amazing with my pup Chloe! She has done overnights, drop ins and walks and each time she has gone above and beyond for Chloe. Chloe has health issues and she is a reactive dog. Areana was very attentive to all her needs and communicated with me frequently. I would recommend Areana to anyone in need of someone to care for their fur babies!”

About: I've cared for dogs my entire life and have always had a natural connection with them. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality, whether they're energetic and playful or calm and affectionate. I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Whether we're out for a walk, playing, or just relaxing at home, my goal is to make sure every dog feels happy, secure, and well cared for while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I treat every dog with the same care, patience, and attention I'd want for my own. I’ll work from home, which means your dog will receive plenty of attention throughout the day and won't be left alone for long periods. For boarding, I only host one dog (or dogs from the same family) at a time, ensuring a calm, low-stress environment with personalized care. Your dog will get frequent potty breaks and walks every 2–4 hours, or sooner if they let me know they need to go out. I'll also make sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and companionship throughout the day. I offer flexible scheduling, including weekends, to make it easy to accommodate your needs. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, home-like experience where your dog feels relaxed, happy, and loved while you're away. I work from home, so your dog will have companionship and supervision throughout the day. My home is a clean, modern, dog-friendly 1,100-square-foot apartment where your pet will be part of my daily routine—not left alone in another room or a kennel. To provide the best experience, I board only one dog at a time (or dogs from the same household). This allows me to give each guest my full attention and create a calm, stress-free environment. Your dog will enjoy multiple walks each day, including two morning walks, a lunchtime exercise walk, two afternoon walks before dinner, and an evening walk after dinner. I love taking dogs to nearby parks and exploring the neighborhood, so they'll get plenty of fresh air, exercise, and mental stimulation. Even during my workday, your dog will be close by. If I'm on a Zoom meeting, they'll likely be relaxing at my feet, soaking up attention between calls and enjoying lots of affection throughout the day. My goal is simple: to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, active, and loved—just as if they were staying with a trusted friend.
“Adam did a great job. He communicated well, was punctual, friendly and got along great with my dog. He is clearly an animal lover who creates a healthy, fun environment for your pet. I would highly recommend Adam for your dog walking needs.”

“Liana has been walking Lucy, our 5 month old puppy, multiple times every week and has done an exceptional job! She is very caring and it’s clear that she has a great love of animals. She is always on time and goes above and beyond to ensure that Lucy gets the exercise and mental stimulation that she needs when we’re not home. Thank you so much!”

Alex has been an extremely reliable and thoughtful dog walker! He’s super communicative, responsible, flexible, and friendly. The detailed updates and photos he sends are great too. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to take care of their dog!

Lola was super friendly and helpful as a steady dog walker for us during the work week. She walked our dog M-F for 3 weeks and was an excellent and timely communicator the whole time. Our dog loved her and we will happily call her again for walks and pet sitting in the future!

We have rebooked with Scott several times and will continue to do so as he has earned our trust with our pets and home. He is responsible, trustworthy, respectful, and reliable. He communicates if there are any issues that arise and has been flexible for us. He also obviously loves animals. So glad to have found him!

I had such a great experience with Ed! He was wonderful with Sam—patient, attentive, and so kind with him. Sam has some mobility limitations and needs a little extra care on walks, and I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. He was reliable and communicative. It gave me peace of mind, and I would absolutely recommend him and book with him again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
