About: I have been an animal lover my whole life, as far back as my grandma's farm cats! For the past five years, I have had two cats of my own :) One of my cats was previously feral and found by my fiance; as such, I have plenty of experience building trust and developing meaningful connections with animals. Furthermore, she has asthma and feline hyperthyroidism. I have had to administer medications in many forms and am prepared to cater to any needs of your fur baby! Over the past few years, I have also cared for several dogs and have experience with pets of all shapes and sizes. I am currently in a PhD program at Penn and have a flexible schedule, so I can adjust my schedule around the needs of your pet's care! I treat any pet with the same level of attention and compassion as my own. I hold trustworthiness, communication, and timeliness in the highest regard. Furthermore, your home will be respected and left as it was found.

About: I have over five years of experience working in an animal hospital, where I cared for animals of all kinds through walking, feeding, monitoring, and providing daily support. Through this experience, I became highly comfortable and knowledgeable in caring for pets with specific needs, including administering medications, senior pet care, and grooming. I moved to Philadelphia two years ago to pursue graduate school and, unfortunately, cannot have pets in my shared apartment. I truly miss being around animals and would love the opportunity to give them the same care, attention, and affection I’ve always enjoyed providing. I am currently pursuing my Master’s at Drexel University, which gives me a great deal of flexibility in my day-to-day schedule. I spend a lot of time throughout University City and Center City and am very familiar with the area. I’m also very active and love long walks and runs, so if you have an energetic pup who enjoys getting outside, I’d be thrilled to have a running buddy. Unfortunately, I’m unable to host pets in my home at this time. However, I am more than happy to care for animals in the comfort of their own homes, where they feel most safe and relaxed. I’m also open to house sitting and longer-term care needs.

About: I've always loved being around animals, and taking care of pets has never felt like work to me. For the past several years, I've regularly walked and cared for two dogs, and I have two cats of my own, so I'm comfortable with different personalities, routines, and care needs. I'm very active, so I'm always happy to go on long walks, play outside, or keep up with energetic dogs. I also understand that some pets just want a quiet companion, and I'm just as happy spending time with senior pets or those who prefer to relax. Outside of pet care, I've spent several years babysitting and teaching swim lessons, so being responsible, patient, and dependable comes naturally to me. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I'll treat them like they're my own. I'll always make sure they get plenty of love and attention, stick to their routine, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I'm currently only teaching swim lessons on weekends, so I have a very flexible schedule during the week. I'm available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I'm happy to work around your pet's routine. If you need last-minute care or have a changing schedule, I'll do my best to accommodate you! Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I know every pet has their own routine, so I'll make sure to follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. I'm respectful of your home and will always leave it just as I found it. I'll also send plenty of updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. If any supplies are needed during my visit, I just ask that they're provided ahead of time so I can give your pet the best care possible.

“Natalie is so great with our pittie mix! She’s attentive, punctual, and kind. Would absolutely recommend Natalie for dog-walking/dog-sitting services :)”

About: Hi! I’m Cailey - pet sitter, dog walker, and lifelong animal lover. 🐶🐱 I’ve been caring for other’s pets since 2014 when I started pet sitting for friends and family, I’ve also worked in training & daycare, managed a pet supply boutique, fostered puppies and kittens, volunteered at shelters, and taken training/behavior classes. When your pets are with me, expect full attention, belly rubs, playtime, and lots of snuggles. My schedule is pretty flexible! • If you’ve got a whole pack (dogs and cats) at home, I’m happy to work out a custom rate that’s fair for you. • I can also help with things like bringing in packages or watering plants. I treat every pet like they’re my own. You’ll always know what to expect, and your fur family will feel completely cared for while you’re away. 🐾 Boarding & Daycare: I live in a studio apartment with my dog Poppy, so I am only able to accept dogs who are friendly and comfortable around other dogs.

About: Taken care of cats since my first at 7 years old; also cared for her many kittens in the years following. Super comfortable with kittens, senior cats, and everything in between. You name it, I've taken care of it. My first pet was a tomato frog and since then I've kept snakes, geckos, and insects. I'm happy to care for your non-furry critters, too! Also a biologist :) I just recently moved to Philly where I'm looking for work, so I'll do my absolute best to work with most any time you suggest. I try to operate on a "no trace left behind" system. I'll keep your critters safe and happy with your space left totally clean.
“Conscientious and innovative in figuring out how to get into our house when an unexpected situation arose. Also took him on a long walk! Excellent work, would ask her to watch my pup again in a heartbeat.”

“Courtney was such a lifesaver while my husband was away! She walked our dog in the cold weather without hesitation and was incredibly kind, warm, and professional throughout. Our dog usually takes a little time to warm up to new people, but he felt comfortable with her right away. I truly appreciated the peace of mind she gave us. We will absolutely be asking for her help again”

About: I grew up with many different animals and taking time to learn behaviors and what they like means alot to me. I love dogs personally and getting to spend time with them and learning and caring for them is really important. Im a part time student and I think pet sitting/walking is very convient for me. I have alot of time and willing to spend that time with animals I always made time for my pets and learned around them to make them comfortable with the environment and people, unfortunately I have family that are allergic so I dont have any anymore. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Schuylkill
Lola was super friendly and helpful as a steady dog walker for us during the work week. She walked our dog M-F for 3 weeks and was an excellent and timely communicator the whole time. Our dog loved her and we will happily call her again for walks and pet sitting in the future!

We have rebooked with Scott several times and will continue to do so as he has earned our trust with our pets and home. He is responsible, trustworthy, respectful, and reliable. He communicates if there are any issues that arise and has been flexible for us. He also obviously loves animals. So glad to have found him!

I had such a great experience with Ed! He was wonderful with Sam—patient, attentive, and so kind with him. Sam has some mobility limitations and needs a little extra care on walks, and I felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. He was reliable and communicative. It gave me peace of mind, and I would absolutely recommend him and book with him again!

Laurel is great! She took the time before the first walk to hear our notes on Maila’s temperament and Laurel asked great initial questions. They went on a 30-minute walk and Maila came back with the biggest smile! Laurel gave helpful notes about what she noticed about Maila during the walk too. Maila is now resting after such a fun walk. We will definitely work with Laurel again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
