I care for each pet like they're my own! With dogs, I love to play with them or assist with their play in whatever ways they need. I carry with me my treat pouch with a squeaker (I will only use treats approved and as directed by the owner) and a collapsible water bowl for longer walks and/or hot days. For cats, if they love playtime, I will happily do that with them! If they need to warm up to me, I will gladly help with that too. If cats just like doing cat-things on their own, I'm also happy to just supervise during my time with them. I also carry with me a laser pointer as back up for playtime.

Information Juli F. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs and I'll be happy to accommodate! I have no preference with regard to breed. As mentioned earlier, please make sure each pet(s) "Care Info" portion of the profile completed; the more information, the better. Please make sure the "Vet Info" section is up to date. Please also include any preference for Emergency Vets in case your Primary Vet is unavailable. If walk/visit timing is strict, please communicate this ahead of time. Drop-in basics to include: • any behavior to be aware of (e.g. escape artist, resource-guarding, food-motivated) • if playful, toy(s) location(s) & preferences • food portions, feeding frequency, food & feeding location(s) • water fountain(s)/bowl(s) locations (& filtered water preference if any) • on-property pet waste receptacle location(s) (e.g. outdoor bin for dog poop or full Litter Genies; Litter Genie/indoor bins for cat waste) • any medication needs & food sensitivities • pet carrier location(s) Dog walking basics to include: • any behavior to be aware of, especially any reactivity or aggression • if any weather conditions will affect walk duration and/or dog behavior • commands • leash/harness setup & their location(s) • any outerwear, boots, etc. used & their location(s) + location of any towels to dry dog(s) off • on-property receptacle for dog waste I require vaccination records for all pets who will be present, even if I am not caring for them. If your pets are on monthly flea/tick & heartworm medication, please also let me know. (NOTE: Indoor-only pets are still at-risk; fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes carrying heartworm can all still make their way to your home, please consider medicating them.) Dog vaccination records that are required: • DAPP • rabies • leptospirosis • bordetella Cat vaccination records that are required: • rabies • FVRCP • FELV **If sending vaccination records via Rover messages, please make sure "Add Copy to Profile" is *not* toggled on. (Not doing so runs the risk of sharing your personal information publicly on this site, which is why I encourage email.)

A typical day

I listen to the pet's needs with regard to activity. I love playing tug-of-war or catch with dogs, or playing with teasers, etc. with cats. If the pet wants attention, I'm happy to give it! Pets communicate with us in various ways and I do my best to listen to what they're trying to communicate. I love to take photos of pets and if the environmental conditions and pet behavior (e.g. dogs who aren't sidewalk snackers, homes/settings with good lighting, etc.) are conducive for a lot of photos, you may get a whole batch of them! My priority first, however, is their care.

Pet care experience

★ Servicing South Philly, based out of Pt. Breeze/W. Passyunk. ★ Rates & rate increases: • Rates are non-negotiable. All pets being cared for must be listed in the booking. All pets present, even if not cared for, must be listed to be covered under the Rover Guarantee. • If I do bookings outside my area, the price per visit may increase based on distance, commute time, and any commute costs. • Walks, drop-ins, and daytime sitting only (hourly rate = 60-min drop-in rate). No overnights/house-sittings, no boarding. • My work hours are 9 AM-7 PM. AM bookings generally start at the top of the hour, PM bookings at the bottom of the hour. Any bookings that start before/after or go beyond this time frame will have an increase of cost. More information on hours & related rate increases are discussed toward the bottom. Policies: • Pet care: Please ensure the “Care Info” part of (each of) your pet's profile(s) is complete & up to date. Meet & greets are for introducing me to your pet and showing me where things are (if booking ahead of time, we can do an introduction meeting sooner and a tour meeting closer to the booking). Care specifics must be listed in the “Care Info” section of each pet profile. All information must be written down/typed out (locations of food, pet carriers, pet gear, locations of pet waste receptacles, etc.). The more information the better. • Timing: Unless the start time is strict (which must be disclosed when booking), I may start early (how early may vary). If there is a preferred time window, this should be discussed as well. If I am running late for the agreed-upon time, I will let you know as soon as I safely can. I also generally rely on SEPTA for commuting, so I may run a little late as well. If I expect to run later than by 15 minutes, I will let you know as soon as I safely can. • Meet-and-greets: I require a meet and greet before caring for your pet(s) so that the safety of everyone involved is considered. If there is not enough time prior to the booking to do a meet and greet, I cannot accept the booking. (After establishing a good fit, I can accept last-minute bookings as my schedule allows.) Please note: I mask with a respirator at all meet-and-greets. (I do appreciate when clients also mask when I am present, as well as air out/ventilate the home! Please note though this does not change the policy around people present during visits.) More information below under "public health measures". I do this to try to ensure uninterrupted service for all my clients. I cannot remove my mask for any reason. • People present during visits: If anyone else is present during bookings, this must be discussed beforehand. All care services will be rendered, however, there is no guarantee that I can stay the full duration (e.g. if pet wants to cuddle with family member who is present, and I have provided all care for a given visit (food, water, walk, litter, etc.), I will end the visit early). • Vaccination records: I require up-to-date vaccination records for all pets I will be or may come in contact with (even if I am not caring for them). All pets with any access granted to the outdoors must also be on flea/tick prevention year-round. Records can be messaged to me through Rover (be sure to toggle off “Add Copy to My Profile” when uploading photos via Rover messages) or emailed to me. • Cancellation policy additional notes: Recurring bookings are subject to the same cancellation policy as non-recurring bookings. If a walk/visit is canceled within 7 days, an initial cancellation will incur $0 but will be noted, and a subsequent cancellation will incur the full visit amount (a Rover card will be submitted with “cancellation” in the Rover card summary and a photo from the previous visit), as this is the only way to apply the 50% cancellation fee. • Weather/safety: ‣ Please note: for pet safety, on days of extreme temperatures (during heat warnings/waves, code blues, etc.), I will *not* do full walks (15 min. max generally speaking, however may be less depending on heat index and wet bulb temperature or wind chill). For extreme heat, I will pay extra close attention to signs of overheating and will immediately end a walk to prevent overheating of a dog. ‣ For extreme cold, with proper gear, full walks can possibly be done, but I will also pay close attention to any signs of hypothermia, frostbite, etc. I can spend time (climate-controlled for their safety) indoors with the dog(s) after a short walk if no one else is home (see above about anyone else present during visits). ‣ Regardless of weather, I will always do my best to listen to the pet’s needs and the ways they are communicating them to me. If they do not want to finish a walk for whatever reason, go outside, etc. I will do what I can to encourage them, but I will not force them. Any such scenarios will of course be communicated to the owner as soon as possible if this is unusual behavior for the pet. • Clients with 3+ pets: I highly recommend hour-long visits. Needed care will be provided (food, water, pet waste, any meds), however, there is no guarantee for playtime/interaction with 30-minute visits when caring for 3+ pets. If you have 2+ pets and are scheduling visits every other day (same as 3+ pets with daily visits): there is no guarantee there will be time for play/interaction. • Locks/entry issues: Homes with smart locks must have (manual) spare key backups available in nearby lockboxes (I carry WD-40 for any stuck lockboxes & locks). In the event that I cannot enter a home with smart locks, I will call the client. If the client does not respond within 10 minutes, I will move on to the next booking. There is no guarantee I will be able to do the visit later on in the day if this occurs if other contingencies also happen at other bookings. • Smart locks: Again, all smart locks must have a (manual) spare key backup (see locks/entry issues above). I will not book any clients that require me to provide any data (aside from a throwaway email) or biometric data for entry; please note this includes downloading any apps or creating any login accounts. I take my clients' privacy seriously, and I take my own privacy seriously as well. Entry/lock methods are discussed at the meet and greet as well. • Locksmiths/lockboxes: For any home entry issues, please note that I cannot call a locksmith without the homeowner's/tenant's approval/communication to a locksmith to do so. It is also best practice to have a second set of spare keys in a lockbox in case of a lockout situation (again, I like to plan for all contingencies), both out front and out back if applicable. • Public health measures (still applicable 2026): ‣ I wear a mask indoors and outdoors to help protect you and your pets, as well as myself since I am high-risk, & to ensure I can care for your pets without interruption or last-minute need to find a replacement sitter should I fall ill. If you would like me to take any further mitigation measures, I’m more than happy to discuss that with you and accommodate. ‣ For meet-and-greets (and any visits where someone else is present), I greatly appreciate when clients mask (and air out/ventilate homes) when I’m present. I cannot remove my mask for any reason. If this is an issue at all (e.g. pet is reactive/aggressive toward people wearing masks), I encourage you to find another sitter/walker. Hours & related rate increases: My booking hours are between 9 AM (start time) and 7 PM (end time). Any bookings outside those hours are subject to a price increase. If booking outside these hours, my hours adjust accordingly (e.g. a 7:30 PM booking means I cannot book before 8 AM the next day). Generally, I will not accept any bookings at all beyond 8 PM or before 8 AM. *I also cannot go outside these hours for more than a week at a time.* Bookings that go beyond a week and require outside hours will be denied. This is to ensure I can safely provide care for all clients' pets. The price increases are as follows: • Start time between 8-9 AM & 7-8 PM: 30-minute visits will be charged as 60-minute visits; 60-minute visits will be charged as 90-minute visits (so 60-minute rate + 30-minute rate), and so on. • Start time between 7-8 AM & 8-9 PM: visits are 2x the rate. What to expect: the booking process After the meet-and-greet, and vaccination records & payment are received (by Rover), you're in my calendar! All pet care information will have been discussed at the meet-and-greet, and a text copy of instructions will be provided by the owner. Email or print is acceptable (if print, it is okay to leave it for me for the start of the booking in your home). Please note: Rover will charge your payment method the full booking cost once the booking is confirmed, and before the start of the booking. I do not accept bookings until after the meet-and-greet to ensure everyone's safety, and I will not start a booking without it being confirmed. For both one-time (non-recurring) and recurring bookings, I complete all Rover cards (if possible, e.g. sometimes data/signal issues may prevent this). The Rover card includes a text summary and at least one photo. Please note: I am considering altering my procedure around Rover cards. I may instead decide to send the summary via Rover messages, and share the photos via an album link. For recurring bookings, this would require me to instead confirm I provided services with Rover support at the end of each week. You should receive a notification once I start the Rover card, and another once I submit the Rover card. Once the booking is over: that's it, Rover handles the rest! NOTE: If you are traveling internationally and cannot use the Rover app/SMS to communicate during travels, then communications are limited to emails. (i.e. I do not have WhatsApp, et al.) Bio: I grew up with an adopted mixed Schipperke since age 15 (2005), though she passed away in 2021 from old age-related health conditions. I miss her dearly, but she's not replaceable to me. While I'm not ready to adopt another furry friend because of my loss, I absolutely do enjoy hanging out, taking care of, and playing with both dogs and cats. I also grew up with two neighborhood cats who would come by daily for food, drink, and lots of pets, and I was always happy to give them all they needed! I've been on Rover doing pet sitting full time since 2022, however, I've been doing part time pet sitting over the years for most of my life.
