“I contacted Matthew for help with my energetic rottie, and he responded quickly and politely. Matthew sent lots of photos and pictures on his walk with Pablo which I loved. Pablo took to him soo fast! He looked soo happy and comfortable on their walk. It was nice to see all the photos along with updates about how he was doing. I think we will be using Matthew more wherever I get the chance. I would definitely recommend using him.”

“My German Shepherds loved Melissa! She is communicative and dependable. I could tell my girls were well taken care of. She walked them and fed them. One of them has to take medicine in her food and Melissa carefully followed instructions left to keep her healthy. 100% recommend.”

“Briana was amazing! She was extremely responsive and took great care of our puppy for us! We will definitely ask Briana to watch Winnie again!”

“Indigo took such great care of my animals while I was away! I got lots of photos and videos of Indigo's walks with my little old lady pup and play time with my cats. They were all in great moods when I got home. I would 100% love to have Indigo's care again in the future.”

About: Hi! I’m Leela, an animal lover with years of experience caring for pets through nannying, house-sitting, and helping friends and families with their dogs and cats. I’m responsible, gentle, and attentive, and I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime, medication routines, and lots of affection. I’m also very comfortable following detailed instructions and keeping you updated with photos and messages so you know how your pet is doing. Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks or prefers calm companionship at home, I’ll do my best to make them feel comfortable, cared for, and happy. I am working as a PhD student at UPenn so have flexible hours and just moved away from my family dog so have no pets currently and would love to care for some animals! I am open to boarding for weekends and a few weekdays! I don’t have any of my own pets at home and have a fenced in yard! I live super close to a park and love to go on walks :)
“Andrea is doing wonderfully with our dog Bear. Bears a little shy around new people but she took right to Andrea and is excited every time she comes to our home. Andrea is also incredibly flexible and a joy to work with. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up in Linstead Jamaica, my family owned a small farm, where we tended goats and chickens. We also took care of 2 generations of Rottweilers, so for as long as I can remember, I have had pets. Because of this, I’ve gotten to care for dogs of all ages - from newborn to older, in sickness and health. Since moving to Philly in 2016, my family has rescued a Cat (Rocket) and a Shih Tzu (Betty White). Needless to say, if given the opportunity I will make sure to give not only care for, but love your pet! I am currently home full time. Feel free to reach out - I am available early mornings and nights, and for drop ins or house sittings when needed. I am also open to last minute bookings. I live with a family of 4. We live in a home in a very quiet neighborhood near Cobbs creek - with trails and parks within the vicinity. We currently do not have any of our own pets, but any pets we have cared for had the luxury of enjoying outdoors at almost any hour and to meet and play with other pets at different parks. As for drop ins, I will treat your home with the upmost respect.

“Kevin has now walked our dog, Trevor, multiple times and really goes out of his way to make sure our dog's specific routine and regiment are maintained while being fully attuned to our dog's personality and idiosyncrasies. When we aren't able to be home to walk Trevor, we know Kevin will provide the same or a greater level of care.”

“Brooke has been amazing! She’s always on time and updates me just the right amount. We’ve been working with a trainer and she’s very receptive to our new walking routine. So lucky to have found Brooke!”

“Kaydee deserves more then the 5 stars alotted. She has made our family feel safe and at ease in taking care of our pup. He’s a large German Shepherd with a lot of energy and you can tell he loves her. I get a picture, update and message each day when she walks him. We are so happy and so is our boy!”

Matthew is a courteous and conscientious dog walker. He truly works to put the human and the dog at ease on his walks. My pup can be a handful but Matthew walks him with ease and sincerely spends time with him during their walks together. He’s at the top of my list of dog walkers.

Alyssa is so wonderful!! I am thankful and relieved knowing I have a caring and reliable dog walker/sitter for my precious senior dog, Tanner. Alyssa also does a great job giving Tanner his medication after walks. I couldn’t recommend her enough. Thank you Alyssa!

Gianna is a true gem!!! I used her today to walk Bear and Bailee and I couldn’t be more pleased. She was punctual, followed all instructions to the letter communicated thoroughly, provided detailed information and explanations and provided pictures. There’s nothing more I could’ve asked for! I have found the perfect dog walker for Bear and Bailee! Thanks Gianna!

Indigo took such great care of my animals while I was away! I got lots of photos and videos of Indigo's walks with my little old lady pup and play time with my cats. They were all in great moods when I got home. I would 100% love to have Indigo's care again in the future.

Kim was awesome I needed a last minute dog walker and she responded right away. She was very thoughtful and considerate asking questions about my dog. She kept me notified and sent pictures and she gad a great disposition and personality!! I never met her before and trusted her in my home with my dog and she made me feel reassured and confident I highly recommend her!

Pascal is the sweetest and most reliable and personable walker that I have had for Chaos. He is always on time and he truly listens to any suggestions that I have about Chaos. Every time that Chaos comes back from his walk he is exercised and content. He wakes me up in the morning because he can't wait to see Pascal. He is actually learning new things and I can't be happier. I would whole heartedly suggest him for anyone who needs their dog walked.

Kristina did a wonderful job caring for Milo. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly very caring with animals. I felt comfortable knowing Milo was in good hands, and I could tell my dog enjoyed the walks and time with her. She was professional, communicative, and went above and beyond. I highly recommend Kristina to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

We started our walks recently with Christel and from our first meeting, I knew our dog Zoey was in good hands. She has great vibrant energy, calm, easygoing and puts a lot of love and care into her work. Zoey tried to leave with her after our meet and greet 😂 that spoke volumes! Christel has been great to work with and looking forward to continuing to work with her regularly.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
