Pet care experience

Animal Lover Big & Small

I'm a registered dietitian who loves animals but can't currently have any in her apartment, so Rover is my way of coping! Currently I am looking to pet sit and dog walk primarily in the evenings and on weekends. I was raised with 3 dogs (all over 100 lbs), 2 cats and 4 rescue horses, so I've been around animals my entire life. I have cared for dogs and cats at all ages, from puppies/kittens to seniors. I will always care for your pet as if they were my own, because every pet deserves the best care!

A pet parent's guideline or boundary is one I will always follow and respect. I will always keep dogs leashed/harnessed on walks and at parks unless specifically told otherwise, and if you say that your pet needs to be fed or go out at 10am I will be there at 9:55 just to be safe.

Gwynne is everything you could hope for in a dog walker. She walked Lori and Tully and was wonderful with both of them. She is patient, kind, and genuinely a good person, the kind you immediately trust with your dogs. She is also incredibly considerate and detail oriented, never missing a thing and always going the extra step to make sure the pups were happy, safe, and well cared for. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Gywnne was wonderful with my dog! She was always on-time, reliable, and clearly cared about making my dog feel comfortable around her. I appreciated her communication and dependability. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in her care. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!

Gwynne’s been loving and caring for dogs her whole life, and it shows! There’s no one more capable, responsible, and loving. I asked Gwynne to join me when I had my initial meeting with my future pup, and relied heavily on Gwynne’s experience and wisdom as I became a first-time dog parent. She’s always my first call when I need someone to look after my boy, or if I need any dog parenting advice!

Gwynne has lived with pets throughout her 28 years. She's had extensive experience with the large breeds. as her family dogs have always been Akitas. Growing up, she also had a wonderful female German Shepherd and several cats at home. Gwynne took several of the Akitas all the way through Puppy Class and Basic Obedience I- II training programs. Her mother has several ponies and horses at her farm located in Northwestern Connecticut. Gwynne grew up caring for them, alongside her mom. She rode and cart-drove her own two ponies until moving to Bryn Mawr in 2017. Gwynne has extensive experience with and a deep love for all animals. She also has a true understanding of the many responsibilities that come along with caring for and owning pets. These things all come together in a way that makes Gwynne an exceptionally qualified candidate for this type of position. I would also like to add that she is one of the most outgoing, intelligent and kind-hearted young woman I have yet to meet.

Schedule

I am currently studying for my Registered Dietitian state licensing exam in mid-April, so my days are very flexible. The only reason that I don't live with a pet currently is that my apartment does not allow it, and that is a flaw that I plan to fix as soon as we move in the near future!
