So far, Lola has been with the same boarder, but they are no longer on the Rover app. I came across Donte and he immediately said YES. I was so happy and relieved and particularly excited and grateful that he is a dog trainer, which I made me feel like he could totally handle her. That was a true bonus in my mind. Lola has had training already, but it can take her a moment to warm up. Donte said she did good; I made her sound worse than she really is. I didn't get any videos or pics, so next time, I will request. I like to see her progress. Donte let me know that Lola got to play with his dog; glad she got to interact with another dog. She needs that. Donte was very flexible as I requested to add on another nite for him to keep Lola. All in all, I am very pleased with his services. About: I have always had at least one cat my whole life and since I was 10 years old, one (to several) dogs. Spending time with my dogs and husband is my favorite activity. I also have experience with guinea pigs, hamsters, and turtles. I work a full-time job from home and I am able to make my own schedule, I just need some heads up to accommodate a schedule change. About: Of course I love animals, but what matters more to me is noticing who your pet actually is. Are they the kind of dog who needs to sniff the same corner for five minutes before moving on? Are they a little shy at first and pretending not to care? Do they get excited easily and need someone calm around them? Are they a cat who wants company, but absolutely not too much company? I really enjoy figuring out those little things. I’m gentle, patient, and very respectful of each pet’s routine. I don’t believe in rushing them or treating every animal the same. Some pets need play and attention, some need slow walks and quiet reassurance, and some just need someone kind nearby so the house does not feel empty. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that still feels familiar to them. I’m also very careful with instructions. Feeding routines, medications, walk preferences, favorite toys, things that scare them, how they like to be greeted, whether they are allowed on the couch. I want to know all of it. I know these details are not “extra.” They are usually the things that make a pet feel secure. I’ll also send updates and photos, not just to say everything is fine, but so you can actually feel connected to them while you are away. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, may also help me sometimes, and you may see her in some of my photos. She has had pets since childhood and fostered animals for several years, so she is very used to different personalities, nervous pets, affectionate pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. She is calm, loving, and very responsible, and I trust her completely with animals. Between the two of us, your pet will be cared for by people who genuinely like being around animals, but who also understand that trust matters. I’ll treat your pet with warmth, patience, and care, and I’ll treat your home and instructions with respect. This year, much of my work is remote, which gives me real flexibility in my schedule. About: I have been taking care of other people's strays and rescuing feral and street animals for several years. I can manage several animals simultaneously and accommodate all of their psychological and physical needs. I have provided care for Chinchillas, Ferrets, Rabbits, cats, and dogs. Dog walking was something I did for two years for my neighbors. I am currently a cat sitter, and provide drop-in visits. In the morning I will check on the needs of any animals ie food and water. I will play and walk with them for about an hour. I will have dogs with similar temperaments play with one another. After playing and walking I will make sure they eat and rest. Throughout the day I will provide activities and enrichment for the pets. At the end of the day i will walk dogs for another hour. I care for pets in my home based on their individualized needs. Certain cats are independent and would prefer not to be touched. I will foster a positive relationship with the pet slowly, and individualize their affection based on their personalities and needs.

“I am so grateful to have come across Donte here on Rover. I have an almost 3 year old Pit mix that I rescued. And Pit's just have a stereotype about them, so most people don't want to watch them. So far, Lola has been with the same boarder, but they are no longer on the Rover app. I came across Donte and he immediately said YES. I was so happy and relieved and particularly excited and grateful that he is a dog trainer, which I made me feel like he could totally handle her. That was a true bonus in my mind. Lola has had training already, but it can take her a moment to warm up. Donte said she did good; I made her sound worse than she really is. I didn't get any videos or pics, so next time, I will request. I like to see her progress. Donte let me know that Lola got to play with his dog; glad she got to interact with another dog. She needs that. Donte was very flexible as I requested to add on another nite for him to keep Lola. All in all, I am very pleased with his services. Donte lives not too far from me, so that's an even added bonus. I will most denitely use Donte's services again and highly recommend him. Thank you Donte for the great care.”

“I have officially found the best dog watcher ever. I can’t even say how comforted I felt having Christopher watch our dog. We have had issues with dog watchers before who say they are knowledgeable about dogs when they actually aren’t. Our dog has lots of energy and is also an extensive cuddles, so needs a lot of attention to say the least. Christopher is the first dog watcher we have had that actually understood that. He took our dog for multiple, miles long walks each day, and we were treated to wonderful pictures of our dog having cuddle sessions with Christopher. Our dog was sad, yes sad, when he came home with us because he missed Christopher, which to me is wonderful. It’s a sign that our dog actually got the love and attention we hoped he would have while we were away. We got multiple pictures a day of Marshall and constant updates about how he was. I one hundred percent will be using Christopher again, as he truly is knowledgeable about dogs needs and gives the dogs the love and attention they deserve!”
