“Our dog loves his walks with John! He is attentive, flexible, caring and trustworthy with our pup. So glad to have found someone close to home that has been able to be there when we can’t.”

“Kathy was amazing and helped us tremendously when we were in a jam, and needed our dog walked. Her communication was great every step of the way. We will be using her again and highly recommend her!”

“My dog is a rescue who is still overcoming his fear-based aggression. Anthony was calm and patient when he met him. He also took extra time to comfort him while I was away because he knew he had separation anxiety. Anthony also communicated with me daily to discuss any concerns. When I was searching for a dog sitter, I read Anthony’s Rover profile in which he writes about his life-long love for animals. This is why I hired him and he has proven that he truly cares. I will be hiring him again for sure and feel confident in recommending him to other dog owners, especially those with dogs who need extra TLC.”

“He is great my dog always enjoys when he stops over to take her out. I don’t need regular walks but when I know I’m gonna need a random walk he is always able to take her out.”

About: Hi! I'm Nicole and I am a dancer/choreographer/dance teacher/mom currently living in Collingswood. With the little time that I have off I thought this would be the perfect way to make a little extra cash AND to get to hang out with some animals! I have been dog/cat sitting since high school and always treat every animal as if it's my own. I never had a pet growing up (I was one of 4 kids so there was no time or space for a dog) but have always been a huge pet lover! I currently have a 13 year old cat named Pistachio who I love more than anything. I would love to get the chance to hang out with your furry friend! I am the main person who takes care of my cat. I make sure she has water, food, clean her litter box, and okay with her. I have free time often and I love going for walks! I prefer not to have pets in my home so I like going to others homes to sit their animals. I treat the home and the pet as if they were my own.

“Melissa took such great, great care of my dogs while I was away. They loved her!! She was so communicative and spent time playing with them too which was an added bonus and assured me that my furry kids were in good hands. She even looked after my 'underage' one who was too young to go on walks. I couldn't have left my pups in better hands.”
About: I’ve been taking care of pets and animals since I was a little kid. Over the course of my life I have always had an animal by my side! Whether that be a dog, cat, fish, reptiles or even animals like hamsters and rabbits every single one them have been given the love and attention needed! Recently I had to care for my elderly dog with her medication and mobility issues. I have also been pet sitting for my families who are in need of assistance with special needs animals. I am available 7 days a week anytime during the day. I am also available nights and weekends as well. So if you need to go out of town for an overnight I have plenty experience in house sitting as well. I always make sure that they have a proper sleep schedule and also make sure their day is full of activities and excitement so they don’t miss a beat when they are back in the arms of their wonderful owner.

“Amanda has a lot of love and compassion for animals and she is someone I would recommend to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets. My dogs and I appreciate her very much”

About: Caring for pets is my passion. I'm a veterinary assistant with experience in general practice, emergency/critical care, and medical oncology. I have also volunteered as a puppy sitter for Guide Dogs for the Blind, an organization dedicated to helping the visually impaired community. Growing up, I always helped family, friends, and neighbors care for their pets, and I began my professional career in veterinary medicine at 19 years old. My beloved dog Dovey crossed the rainbow bridge recently. I would love to offer pet sitting/dog walking services to help you, and to help heal my heart. I am currently available for pet sitting service in your home, and dog walking service. I am currently looking for full time employment. Availability is subject to change when I begin working full time. My priority is making your pet feel safe and comfortable. I am well versed in animal behavior and reading their body language. I always approach pets in a calm, gentle manner.
“Had a last-minute request and she was very timely in her response. Did a really great job of communicating taking pictures of the pup who seemed happy. Highly recommend her!”

“You couldn't ask for more in a dog walker! Justin is reliable on time and is a true dog lover I used Justin to walk my 5 yr old Greyhound He was awesome with her! Will definitely book with Justin again”

“Brielle did a wonderful job walking Mac when we were away. I highly recommend her. She is always punctual and very professional. She sends updates and pictures about the walk. We were lucky to get her since we needed her at the last minute during the holidays.”

“I love that I can trust Carly to arrive on time and make sure that my pup gets plenty of love and attention! She really makes my long shifts easier knowing Millie is being spoiled! Would recommend her to anyone in the area.”

About: I've grown up with both dogs and cats and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. While I've mostly worked with medium to large sized dogs, small dogs and cats are great as well and I have experience playing, walking, feeding, and bathing animals in all walks of life. I work part-time while playing softball over the span of the summer, but I have plenty of time during the week to care for your pets. I love all animals and will treat yours with as much respect as I do my own, while also being sure to cater to your specific pet's needs.
About: I've worked for a small pet sitting business (dog walking and cat sitting) for 9 years! I've taken care of puppies since they were little until they're huge! I can handle (easygoing) big dogs (Newfies) and am a total cat lover, too! I'm especially a sucker for senior pets. I'm responsible and reliable and always get to my appointments on time. I've done everything from walked, fed, given fresh water, cleaned litter boxes, bathed, and administered topical meds. I’m starting my own pet sitting business and am looking for both regular dailies clients as well as pet sitting/vacation clients! This is what I wish my full time job to be. I follow client instructions and make sure everything is thoroughly clear and understood prior to visit with your pet! Just give me your preferences beforehand. I am a very thorough communicator and will provide thorough updates! The only animals I am uncomfortable with visiting are ones with aggressive streaks- I've been bitten before and it's never fun!
“If you are looking for an experienced, considerate, and dedicated dog walker/sitter, then you've found your match! Gregory has provided dog walks and overnight care for our 60lb hound mix multiple times over the last few months and we couldn't be happier with the care he provides. He is incredibly communicative, provides very detailed updates after every walk (with plenty of pictures included), and has shown the utmost dedication to understanding our dog Izzy and her specific behavioral needs. We have worked with many positive reinforcement trainers in the past to address our pups over-excitability and leash reactivity and Gregory using much of the same language as these dog trainers when discussing strategies he used on his walks with Izzy to help redirect and keep her focused and safe. Our pup is very scent driven on walks which can require a lot of patience and steady redirection, and we are so grateful for how kind and gentle Gregory is when handling Izzy. We've only had one overnight experience with Gregory so far and he took great care of our home and left the house spotless! He also ensured us that he only books one overnight stay at a time to avoid any conflicts in schedule and make sure our dog has company throughout the night and to keep her safe in the event of an emergency. All that being said, you will have no regrets choosing with work with Gregory and we feel very fortunate to have found him!”

“Absolutely would recommend! Kendra confirmed super last minute availability to walk my pup while I had a long shift at work and sent a pic. Also had a promo code for me that was super helpful. Couldn’t be happier.”

About: I’ve been pet-sitting since I was 15. I’ve dealt with a range of task when it comes to pets, and have cared for animals big to small and young to old. I am extremely comfortable with pets and even have a dog and cat of my own! Since I have pets of my own, I frequently find myself walking my dog or spending one on one time with my cat. Pet care is a natural part of my day to day life! I love to give pets and make a pet feel cared for and safe. A calm environment is sometimes all an animal needs to feel loved!
About: I’ve always been an animal lover and have taken care of a variety of pets since I was little. I am free to do daily visits and/or walks. I also have experience with administering insulin and I am comfortable giving other medications as well. During the summer I am working part time and will be returning to school late September. I am very flexible and have lots of time to spend with your pets! I am comfortable with all sizes of pets and varying needs. I can provide leashes and poop bags for walks. I also always bring water, especially on hot days.

Anthony is awesome! We booked him for several one-hour walks with our dog, Margo. He was always prompt, walked her the entire time, and takes seemingly professional-level glamour shots of her each day (literally I've never seen better pics of my pooch). He is super friendly and was so kind when he visited for an initial meet and greet. We'd love to use him again!

Wow talk about going beyond the call of duty! I recently moved and my pup is not taking it to well and was having a lot of separation anxiety when I left for work. I booked Artesha as a last minute cry for help and she accepted and walked him within 20 minutes of my request! Truly amazing !

Lindsey has been amazing with my 2-year-old pup, Max, who just started walking with her. She goes above and beyond—sending about 10 photos and videos each visit that truly show how much time, care, and activity she gives. She even thoughtfully brought her dog, Paco, to help socialize Max, which made such a positive difference. I’ve had other walkers before, but Lindsey stands out for her attention to detail, genuine care, and the way she treats Max like her own. I highly recommend her to any dog parent.

Laura has been a wonderful help walking Auggie at lunch! She’s super communicative and reliable, which has provided peace of mind while we’re at work! Auggie is a rambunctious teenager and Laura makes sure he is taken care of when we’re away!! Highly recommend!

- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
