“Brayden watched our cat for the long weekend and was prompt, communicative, and followed instructions. Our cat was well cared for, and Brayden kept us updated with each visit. I would definitely recommend him!”

About: been caring for dogs since I was around 9, so taking care of pets has always been a big part of my life! I had my own German Shepherd girl who I loved and cared for throughout her life, and I currently have three cats and my own dog. I also regularly help take care of my best friends Snorkie mix and my aunt’s Husky. I genuinely love getting to know every pet’s personality, whether they’re super playful, a total couch potato, or need a little extra patience. I’m responsible, attentive, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I love to walk pets and have been since I was younger. As someone with too much energy for my own good, it helps me burn some in a way that keeps me just as happy. Im a freshman in college, but I frequent the city area daily. I’m fully available on the weekends and available after three on Mon, Wed, and Fri, and Tues,Thurs after 5! Every day i’m available early morning til 8:30! Enjoy your weekends and days out with a sitter like me. I’m patient when it comes to animals as they are not human and are more prone to any unexpected behavior and reaction. I’ve saved a couple dogs that others would call violent, but just needed a different angle of care that I was able to provide. I am physically fit and able to defend your pet as well as myself in case of any unfortunate event.
“Ariella was very through with her questions at booking and set my mind at ease despite not being able to meet before my last minute booking. Charlie clearly enjoyed her company and willingness to play on his terms! We will definitely contact Ariella again in the future!”
“Ari was wonderful, she and my cat got along great, and she sent me lots of photos and updates while I was away, which made me feel much better about being away on my trip!”

“Our babies LOVED Tia! She played with them and gave them treats. We love that she even played relaxing cat music for them. We will definitely rebook her in the future! Thank you so much, Tia.”

“She was wonderful! She fed my cat, cleaned the litter box, and my cat warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot. I felt really comfortable leaving her in her care.”

“Ellen was fantastic with Clover. She came to do a “Meet and Greet” and then we walked Clover to the park. Clover immediately took to Ellen, and I would not hesitate to have her watch Clover again. I would highly recommend!”

“Katrina did a wonderful job with our cat over a long weekend. She was consistent and communicative. She is a true cat lover and met all of Gene’s needs. Would call on her again in an instant! We returned to find everything in good order and a happy, settled cat!”

About: Hey there, my name is Abby and I’m newer to Philly, looking to be involved in the pet sitting community (go birds!). In addition to having had my own family and personal pets, I have helped care for my roommates animals over the last 10 years and also pet sat for friends and professional clients alike. Most of my pet sitting was through word of mouth in the Atlanta and Asheville areas, however, I worked through a company in Asheville called “Mountain Pet Valet”. Through this company, I would be assigned to stay overnight in clients homes or to drop in for walks and meals. I genuinely love being around animals and have missed having one of my own. My last dog, Lucy Lou, was a sweet (and stubborn!) 70lb elderly pitbull who I rescued from the Atlanta Humane Society, she was the best dog a gal could ask for. I’d be honored to be involved in your pet’s care! I currently work full time managing a local brewery. Most weeks I work exclusively at night with Wednesday and Thursday being my days off. My shifts typically last 7 hours ranging from the hours of 4-11. I currently live in a second story apartment in Northern Liberties that is a pet friendly building and just two blocks away from Liberty lands park. I am also a 7 minute walk to my job so I would be very close by if you wish your pet to stay with me! Otherwise I am more than happy to stay in your home and to care for your pet with its creature comforts all in one place.
“Stephen did a great job taking care of my cat Ranjha during the holidays. He was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure Ranjha was comfortable while I was away. He kept me consistently updated with messages, which gave me peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend Stephen and would book with him again.”

“Reno was very polite and professional. He responded quickly when we suddenly needed a last-minute holiday sitter for our cat, and he kept us up-to-date with how she was doing over the trip. Thanks again, Reno!”

“Nina was absolutely incredible. My cats were taken care of perfectly and I could not be more grateful that I found her on Rover. I would without a doubt book with her again!”

“it’s always a pleasure to have this guy over to help with my dogs while away he is the only person i can trust with my pets. i would recommend trying his services with ur pets i’ve been please”

“Alexa was phenomenal! Watched my two cats for a week during the holiday. Clearly cares about pets, made sure my more anxious cat ate her food and went above and beyond playing with my other cat. Sent updates daily and was a timely communicator. I had peace of mind my whole trip knowing I could count on Alexa. Will definitely be re-booking with her whenever possible.”

About: Hi! I have experience working at a dog grooming salon where I washed and walked dogs for three years. I grew up with a beagle who I loved going on walks with and playing with. I have dog sat in the past for friends and have about 2 years of experience dog sitting and walking on Rover. Took a little time off as I began full time work but wanted to continue dog walking and care I love animals! I am mostly free on weekends. I also have availability on weekdays in early morning or evenings. It varies a bit week by week so will do my best to accommodate! I work with owner to determine what is best for their furry friend! I have an apartment that has a tiny dog park but can also take the dog on walks.

Amanda was great, providing last minute care with 4 days of daily drop-in visits for my 5mo kitten! Really appreciated the daily photos and updates, and my kitty was happy and well adjusted when I came home. It’s clear he got plenty of playtime and affection. Thanks again for everything, will reach out again soon!

Mary Anna is our go to cat sitter! Always on time, follows every instruction, and goes above and beyond to care for our crew. She’s friendly, communicative, and you can truly tell how much she cares. We also love her entertaining and detailed visit recaps. We couldn’t recommend her more!

Chasity was fabulous. She was really easy to communicate with, and my cat loved her. It was a big relief to have someone responsible looking after my cat - she was on top of food, water, litter, etc, and got him to play with toys he normally disdains. :) Plus she sent super cute photos!

Caroline was amazing taking care of my kitten, Lottie! She was incredibly attentive and provided thorough updates and lots of pictures throughout the weekend. It was so nice knowing Lottie was in such great hands while I was away! I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Philadelphia. On Rover:

- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
