About: I’ve had cats my whole life but I love dogs just as much! I have years of pet care experience and I have volunteered at an animal rescue for several years. I’m currently a remote worker and student so my schedule is very flexible. I have a car and I am Willing to drive to you. I have experience with all sorts of animal needs. My resume includes a cat with diabetes, two elderly pugs with a variety of health issues, a grumpy rabbit, and many more. I have no problems caring for high need pets or low need pets!
About: I’m currently a graduate student at Penn. Before moving to Philly, I volunteered at Charlotte Animal Control and have a lot of experience with all types of dogs! I’ve always been a dog lover - I grew up with two goldendoodles and rescued my own pup, Juju, in 2022 🥰 I’m a full time student, so I have plenty of free time to give your dogs some love! I only have class in the mornings so my afternoons and evenings are wide open. My rescue dog is very anxious so I’m very comfortable with taking care of nervous pups! I have experience with all types of dogs from my time volunteering at the city shelter!

“She was wonderful! She fed my cat, cleaned the litter box, and my cat warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot. I felt really comfortable leaving her in her care.”

“Richard is our go-to for cat care and it is always such a relief to know our babies are in great hands! He is passionate about providing good care, and all four of our cats plus our very anxious dog trust him and love spending time with him. Richard is also reliable and communicative, and keeps us up to date on how things are going. Highly recommend Richard as your next Rover!”

“Ana was absolutely incredible. I’m so grateful for her. She took care of our elderly, diabetic cat Hannah (who also has CKD) while my partner and I were away. Ana expertly administered the plethora of medications (oral and injectable) and checked Hannah’s blood glucose via glucometer. She was also extremely patient when feeding her and cleaned up after Hannah had a couple accidents in her bed. I was especially appreciative of Ana’s flexibility and attention to detail when Hannah’s needs changed shortly before my trip after we had booked. Ana was very communicative as well and sent us plenty of updates and pics during her check-ins. I would recommend Ana to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter who can manage complex cats like my own. A million thank you’s to Ana and I will definitely book with her again!”

“I loved the detailed feedback and pictures! I could tell Nicole and Rudy spent some quality time together. It made me feel good knowing she was in great hands.”

“I ended up not needing a sitter but paid Caelan still because it was last minute. They were very responsive and kind in all interactions and I would feel comfortable booking them again to care for Abbey in the future!”

“Spencer and Nell were the best companions to our two cats over the Christmas holiday! We received detailed updates and photos, and I know our cats trusted them as they quickly settled into a feeding/playing/cuddling routine (even our younger cat who can be shy with strangers). We also hit a travel snag on the last day, but thankfully Spencer was able to add a visit to make sure they were fed and cared for as we made our way home. They also tidied up around the house, vacuuming litter and washing the bowls, so we came home to both happy cats and a clean house. Thank you!!!”

“Great pics from her but the one of Jackson with his teeth all out scared me!!! Lol. All good though. Kept contact during visit which made me feel better that all was OK. I will have Nancy come back.”

“Annabeth gave detailed Rover Cards and took lots of good pics of the kitties. Annabeth ensured they were well cared for! She was responsive and easy to communicate with.”

“Gabe was awesome! We did a call before booking to make sure everything was set, and it was very reassuring. My kitty looks so happy and well cared for. I will definitely reach out again in the future.”

“Tamikia did a fantastic job taking care of our cat while we were away. She came at the scheduled time and did all that was asked of her and more. She made us feel very comfortable leaving our cat in her care. We enjoyed receiving the daily updates and photos while we were away. We would definitely hire her again!”

“Leanna always goes above and beyond for our sweet girl. Our cat is on insulin and has a special kidney diet which affects her appetite and makes feeding time a bit tricky. Leanna is so attentive and caring and always does an amazing job!”

“Hannah was great! She took excellent care of my cat while I was out of town for the week, was very communicative, sent pics of my sweet boy every day, and even went the extra mile and took packages in for us. Highly recommend!”

“Victoria did an excellent job watching my dog. She walked and fed her regularly and made the whole process simple. She sent photos everyday and made sure my dog was taken care of. Highly recommend.”
About: My experience with dogs ranges from senior dogs, to big, rambunctious puppies and everything in between! I've never had my own cat but have many years of experience caring for others' felines. Whether you want someone to take your pup out and tire them out, or someone to snuggle your cat while you're away, I will love on them until you come back! Your pets will be in good hands with me; expect photos of our adventures! Even if it's a drop in, I'll be sure to keep you updated on anything adorable or out-of-the-ordinary. You can have piece of mind while you're away knowing that your dog is living their best life. I’m currently only taking drop in cat visits that can fit around my 40hr work week at the moment. My weekends are usually flexible, and I’m more than willing to try to work with the schedule you need on a case by case basis! I cannot offer board for pets in my current home. I will follow your wishes when caring for your pet. I will not leave your pet unsupervised outside, even in a fenced in yard. I know how fun and reassuring it is to get photos and updates, so I will make sure to send at least one daily if you are away overnight. I will make sure to communicate any concerns (injuries, unusual behavior, incidents) as they come up.
“Gabi is incredibly kind and was will to help me in a pinch! I greatly appreciate the picture updates and clear communication. I can’t wait to help Gabi back, neither can my dogs!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Spruce Hill
Gillian was great with my rather skittish cat, always playing with her and keeping her entertained. Gillian even brought fun new toys from her home. The video, photos, and detailed updates reassured me that all was well. And I returned to a very happy kitty and a home that was super clean. Gillian is the best!

Jay is amazing! Jay has watched both my dogs and my cat, Papito, and always does an incredible job. Most recently, Jay dropped in on Papito while I was away, and I felt completely at ease knowing Papito was in such good hands. Jay is reliable, attentive, communicative, and genuinely cares about my pets. I’ve booked with Jay multiple times and have consistently had a great experience. I’m so grateful to have someone I can trust with all of my animals and would absolutely recommend Jay!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Spruce Hill. On Rover:

- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
