About: As the mother of a 3 year old neutered Dalmatian and as a Veterinary Technician I come with the knowledge of wellness and emergency care as well as the exercise needs of your baby! You have a puppy or kitten that wants to play all day long ? No problem! I can teach him/her some basic training/tricks such as sit, stay, and the command “drop it” for safety reasons! (It can be both English and Spanish since I’m fluent on both languages!). You have a senior dog/cat that prefers to cuddle and sleep all day? We can do that as well! I am flexible regardless of age and breed! I can administer medication based on your preference and needs of your pet as well as feed and provide water as needed! My goal is to help your pet feel loved and at peace while you as the owner, get to have peace of mind with who your pet is with! *I provide a smoke, alcohol, and drug free home as well as a play mate if necessary for your dog!* *If your dog or cat is not dog friendly that’s no problem for boarding at my home! Both my dog and your pet can be separated upon request!* I have an open schedule throughout the week based on your needs as a client and the needs of your pet regardless of the time in the day! About: Of course I love animals, but what matters more to me is noticing who your pet actually is. Are they the kind of dog who needs to sniff the same corner for five minutes before moving on? Are they a little shy at first and pretending not to care? Do they get excited easily and need someone calm around them? Are they a cat who wants company, but absolutely not too much company? I really enjoy figuring out those little things. I’m gentle, patient, and very respectful of each pet’s routine. I don’t believe in rushing them or treating every animal the same. Some pets need play and attention, some need slow walks and quiet reassurance, and some just need someone kind nearby so the house does not feel empty. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that still feels familiar to them. I’m also very careful with instructions. Feeding routines, medications, walk preferences, favorite toys, things that scare them, how they like to be greeted, whether they are allowed on the couch. I want to know all of it. I know these details are not “extra.” They are usually the things that make a pet feel secure. I’ll also send updates and photos, not just to say everything is fine, but so you can actually feel connected to them while you are away. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, may also help me sometimes, and you may see her in some of my photos. She has had pets since childhood and fostered animals for several years, so she is very used to different personalities, nervous pets, affectionate pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. She is calm, loving, and very responsible, and I trust her completely with animals. Between the two of us, your pet will be cared for by people who genuinely like being around animals, but who also understand that trust matters. I’ll treat your pet with warmth, patience, and care, and I’ll treat your home and instructions with respect. This year, much of my work is remote, which gives me real flexibility in my schedule. That means I’m able to spend unrushed, attentive time with pets, not just quick check-ins, but actual companionship, care, and presence. I can shape my day around walks, visits, feeding times, play, and quiet company, depending on what each pet needs. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, who is included in the pictures, also helps me out with my Rover schedules. My home is my cat Lilo’s safe little kingdom, so I can’t host other pets here. My nickname is Kitty and some of my friends called me "Kitty Khai Khai" since I'm very affectionate with kitties and I happen to get along with shy, anxiety fueled, or aggressive kitties. Jada is excellent. Quick and painless with watching my beloved babies. Toward the end of the visit my VERY standoffish girl that usually stays away from people offered some cuddles which was pretty much a stamp of approval. Attentive, quick, and made sure to come on time to feed my babies. Will be booking again.
We booked twice a day drop in visits with Barb for our two male tabbies while away on a ten day vacation and we couldn’t be more pleased with her care. This is the longest we’ve ever left our boys and from the very first day we felt completely at ease. Barb went so far above and beyond to care for them—giving one of them oral meds at the last minute, preparing treat toys for them at her visits, perfectly following their feeding arrangement and sending tons of sweet photos. She offered to take our trash and recycling out without us asking, collected our mail, watered our plants and made sure that an important package was picked up quickly from our porch. It was such a huge relief to travel without worry knowing our boys were in incredible hands and we’ve already booked with Barb for two more of our summer getaways. Highly recommend choosing her to look after your fur babies!

Another amazing experience having Spencer watch our cats. Every visit included the full 30 minutes, thoughtful summaries, and lots of pictures, which gave us great peace of mind while away.
