About: I have always had at least one cat my whole life and since I was 10 years old, one (to several) dogs. Spending time with my dogs and husband is my favorite activity. I also have experience with guinea pigs, hamsters, and turtles. I work a full-time job from home and I am able to make my own schedule, I just need some heads up to accommodate a schedule change. I love my full time job, however, it is a desk job and I am really looking to get out more and would love to enjoy some walks with your dog! I am happy to do a meet and greet so that both you and your pup can feel comfortable with me and I know all of the important details to keep them safe and happy.

Ana was absolutely incredible. I’m so grateful for her. She took care of our elderly, diabetic cat Hannah (who also has CKD) while my partner and I were away. Ana expertly administered the plethora of medications (oral and injectable) and checked Hannah’s blood glucose via glucometer. She was also extremely patient when feeding her and cleaned up after Hannah had a couple accidents in her bed. I was especially appreciative of Ana’s flexibility and attention to detail when Hannah’s needs changed shortly before my trip after we had booked. Ana was very communicative as well and sent us plenty of updates and pics during her check-ins. I would recommend Ana to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter who can manage complex cats like my own. A million thank you’s to Ana and I will definitely book with her again!

Jada is excellent. Quick and painless with watching my beloved babies. Toward the end of the visit my VERY standoffish girl that usually stays away from people offered some cuddles which was pretty much a stamp of approval. Attentive, quick, and made sure to come on time to feed my babies. Will be booking again.

About: I would do this for free if love was a currency everywhere else. I have taken care of pets my whole life; have become professional just recently. I understand pets have their own personalities, and that has to be respected. My priority is to provide safety, care, and compassion through communication, empathy, and understanding. Early evenings, nights, and weekends are my "hang with my buddies time". I'm free on most national holidays, and flexible for unusual timings, and vacations. My lunch time could be your pets time if locations line up. I love to go outside. My first instruction is from you, and then your pet. Communication is vital! Tell me what is needed, wanted, and desired- and we'll work on a plan that works for all of us.

About: Hi, I'm Olivia. I'm an experienced dog walker, pet sitter, and pet owner! I have owned a variety of pets throughout my life-- turtles, fish, cats and I recently had a senior rescue dog but she unfortunately passed away. I currently have a cat who is very friendly but can be separated from your dog either by a gate or kept in his own room. I have many years pet sitting for all sorts of animals and I love walking dogs. I love dogs and cats and I can even groom a horse. I have experience giving oral medication to dogs and cats and am not intimidated by dogs who pull on their leash or are reactive. I enjoy long walks, no matter the temperature and will be sure to give your pup the attention and exercise they deserve! During drop ins, I can provide your pet with attention, love and entertainment-- whether that be time in the yard, playing tug of war or whatever else your pal loves! I would be honored to care for your pet while you are away, at work or just need someone else to take the dog out for a long walk! I am currently in law school and tend to be gone longest on Mondays and Wednesdays but am home earlier all other days. My availability is relatively open and I can be sure to give your pet the attention, care and exercise they deserve even on my busiest days. I have a fenced in yard, plenty of supplies for dogs and live in a very dog friendly environment with access to a walking path, a park, a dog park (although I prefer not to take the dogs I care for to a dog park and keep them from interacting with unknown dogs) and plenty of grass and trees.

About: Starting local to Philadelphia. I have been taking care of other people's strays and rescuing feral and street animals for several years. I can manage several animals simultaneously and accommodate all of their psychological and physical needs. I have provided care for Chinchillas, Ferrets, Rabbits, cats, and dogs. Dog walking was something I did for two years for my neighbors. I am currently a cat sitter, and provide drop-in visits. In the morning I will check on the needs of any animals ie food and water. I will play and walk with them for about an hour. I will have dogs with similar temperaments play with one another. After playing and walking I will make sure they eat and rest. Throughout the day I will provide activities and enrichment for the pets. At the end of the day i will walk dogs for another hour. I care for pets in my home based on their individualized needs. Certain cats are independent and would prefer not to be touched. I will foster a positive relationship with the pet slowly, and individualize their affection based on their personalities and needs.

I had a last-minute change of plans and she was super accommodating. She did a phenomenal job bonding with and taking care of my cats and you can tell she really cares. She also sent pictures and updates which was really helpful while I was so far away.

About: I’m a dog mom of one dog. I rescued her from Puerto Rico a few years ago. I’ve also assisted in transporting dogs from Puerto Rico to the states. We have an active life and enjoy hiking. I will provide fun and activities for your dog. I can come to your house or the dog comes to my house. If you feel more comfortable with just your dog at my house that can be arranged. I know how some dogs sometimes prefer to be the only pet at home. I currently work at home and available all day. I can provide the constant attention your dog will need. I have a fenced in yard. I will provide multiple walks throughout the day. I can dog sit at your house or my house. I have plenty of parks nearby for walks. There’s also hiking trails nearby. I offer dog baths for an additional fee if interested.

Linda is simply the best! After trying with several cat sitters (who just weren’t right for one reason or another) I am so glad to have found Linda. She is caring, communicative, and took excellent care of my cranky cat. She went the extra mile in cleanup & left me a lock box to store keys. I wouldn’t dream of hiring anyone else. She makes me want to travel more often! Thank you Linda we hope to see you soon!

Spencer and Nell are AMAZING! They manage our high energy German Shepherd with gentleness and understanding. They even noticed a rash we hadn’t noticed! They’ve dealt with poop explosions and puppy nipping and still seem to genuinely love our puppy — and she loves them! Bonus — they also take really cute pics of her that are way better than mine. I trust them completely and have total peace of mind when they are dropping in to see her. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
