About: My three years of experience have taught me that every dog possesses a unique personality and set of needs. I prioritize your pet's comfort and happiness by treating them as if they were my own. My approach centers on maintaining a safe, stimulating, and consistent routine, whether that involves strict adherence to dietary schedules or managing high-energy play. I hold certifications in Experience with senior pets and Experience with special needs pets. I remain calm during emergencies, prioritizing quick, responsible decision-making while keeping you fully informed. I am punctual, kind, and empathetic, and I truly enjoy helping shy dogs come out of their shells. With my own reliable transportation, I am ready to provide your dog with the dedicated care they deserve. I look forward to treating your beloved companion with the same love and attention I give my own. I have a flexible schedule and am available for dog walks throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I understand that every dog has different needs, and I’m happy to work with your schedule to provide reliable, consistent walks and plenty of exercise, attention, and care. Animals have always been a part of my family, and I care for every pet as if they were my own. My childhood dog lived to be 15 years old, and I was there to help care for him throughout his life, especially in his senior years when he needed extra support. He was truly my best friend and taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and attentive care. Today, I care for my own dog and cat every day by feeding them, giving them attention, and making sure they are happy and healthy. I walk my dog before and after work and throughout the day as needed, and I enjoy spending quality time playing with both my dog and cat. I have a genuine love for animals, but dog walking is something I especially enjoy. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities, and I will treat them with the same care and attention I give my own pets.
“Everything went smoothly with Jennifer watching my little kitties over the weekend. She provided us with great pics and detailed visitation logs and her communication was great!”

“Breanna is so sweet with my kitties and provides thorough updates which is comforting when I’m away from home. Would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”
“Jada is excellent. Quick and painless with watching my beloved babies. Toward the end of the visit my VERY standoffish girl that usually stays away from people offered some cuddles which was pretty much a stamp of approval. Attentive, quick, and made sure to come on time to feed my babies. Will be booking again.”

“Paz did a great job. She pays very close attention to detail, even going so far as to take lots of notes during our meet and greet. My dog is reactive so needs special care around other dogs. Paz followed my directions and safely navigated around the problems. She was also willing to take care of my dog despite having a sudden bout of diarrhea that started the day before her visit. Lots of pictures and excellent communication.”

“Ashley was an impeccable sitter for my kitties while I was travelling for 2 weeks and if you’re looking for a pet sitter, no need to look any further. I would 100% recommend her! I had a last-minute change of plans and she was super accommodating. She did a phenomenal job bonding with and taking care of my cats and you can tell she really cares. She also sent pictures and updates which was really helpful while I was so far away.”

About: Hi, I’m Naomi! I have over a year of experience with Wag, where I maintain a 5-star rating for reliable, loving pet care. In the past, I’ve worked with both a senior dogs and a puppies, handling daily walks, feeding, keeping them clean, and engaging them in play with toys and activities. I’m attentive to each dog’s needs and always aim to make them feel safe, happy, and loved, just like family. My schedule is highly flexible. I’m available during weekdays, weekends and most holidays. I’m able to stay overnight or for long periods of time as needed. I love to keep up the daily habits and schedule of the dog within the owner’s home. Create a seamless transition from pet parent to myself, so that there would be no gaps in care.
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Carismeldi was absolutely wonderful with Freddy! I really appreciated how attentive she was and how well she followed all of my instructions. She sent me lots of updates, which I loved and which made me feel so comfortable knowing Freddy was in good hands. Her communication was great, and it was clear to me that she genuinely cared about him and took great care of him while I was away. I’m so grateful for the care she gave Freddy and would happily have her watch him again!”

About: Hi! I'm Jacqui, and I've always loved being around animals. I understand that pets are family, so I believe they deserve patience, kindness, and lots of attention while you're away. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable following specific care instructions, whether that's administering medications, sticking to feeding schedules, taking long walks, or giving extra playtime and cuddles. I'll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. Professionally, I work in a role where trust, communication, and reliability are essential, so you can count on me to provide regular updates, photos, and prompt responses throughout your booking. I know how important peace of mind is when someone else is caring for your pet. I welcome dogs and cats of all ages and personalities, and I'm happy to accommodate their unique routines and needs. My goal is simple: to treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they have a fun, comfortable, and stress-free experience. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family member! I work full time from home. So I have the flexibility any day of the week and time of day for walks, overnights, and weekends. I have a backyard and front yard, and my neighborhood is walkable for extended time outside. I also have a cat who is 4 years old, so my home is welcome to any pets that get alone with others if an overnight stay is desired.
“Melissa was great! We needed someone to let our golden retriever out during the day while at work. Melissa showed up exactly when we scheduled her to, and sent lots pictures and videos which showed how happy our dog was to see her. She communicated very well during the visit and made sure she took care of everything we needed. We're definitely already looking to book her again for the next time we need dog care!”

About: Of course I love animals, but what matters more to me is noticing who your pet actually is. Are they the kind of dog who needs to sniff the same corner for five minutes before moving on? Are they a little shy at first and pretending not to care? Do they get excited easily and need someone calm around them? Are they a cat who wants company, but absolutely not too much company? I really enjoy figuring out those little things. I’m gentle, patient, and very respectful of each pet’s routine. I don’t believe in rushing them or treating every animal the same. Some pets need play and attention, some need slow walks and quiet reassurance, and some just need someone kind nearby so the house does not feel empty. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that still feels familiar to them. I’m also very careful with instructions. Feeding routines, medications, walk preferences, favorite toys, things that scare them, how they like to be greeted, whether they are allowed on the couch. I want to know all of it. I know these details are not “extra.” They are usually the things that make a pet feel secure. I’ll also send updates and photos, not just to say everything is fine, but so you can actually feel connected to them while you are away. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, may also help me sometimes, and you may see her in some of my photos. She has had pets since childhood and fostered animals for several years, so she is very used to different personalities, nervous pets, affectionate pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. She is calm, loving, and very responsible, and I trust her completely with animals. Between the two of us, your pet will be cared for by people who genuinely like being around animals, but who also understand that trust matters. I’ll treat your pet with warmth, patience, and care, and I’ll treat your home and instructions with respect. This year, much of my work is remote, which gives me real flexibility in my schedule. That means I’m able to spend unrushed, attentive time with pets, not just quick check-ins, but actual companionship, care, and presence. I can shape my day around walks, visits, feeding times, play, and quiet company, depending on what each pet needs. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, who is included in the pictures, also helps me out with my Rover schedules. My home is my cat Lilo’s safe little kingdom, so I can’t host other pets here. But I’m very happy to come to your home, meet outside for walks, or figure out a setup that feels easy and comfortable for you and your pet.

“Zenith has been wonderful to work with - she is friendly, takes great care of my pets, and is overall an amazing sitter! She is very communicative when watching over my cats, and lets me know if any issues arise during her visits. I would 100% recommend her to watch your pets.”

“Tamikia did a fantastic job taking care of our cat while we were away. She came at the scheduled time and did all that was asked of her and more. She made us feel very comfortable leaving our cat in her care. We enjoyed receiving the daily updates and photos while we were away. We would definitely hire her again!”

About: Hello! My name is Donald! I've spent time working with cats of all kinds at the Providence Animal Center. I also have a cat of my own named Bully, so I'm used to all the little routines, moods, and quirks that come with caring for cats every day. I’m currently available for drop-in visits with flexible hours, especially on Mondays, Fridays, and weekends starting at 12:30pm. I’m happy to work with your schedule — feel free to reach out anytime! If I'm caring for pets in my home, I'll make sure they have a comfortable, safe, and stress-free environment. I'll monitor their behavior to ensure they're adjusting well, and I'II keep you updated with anything you should know.
About: When I was younger, my family and I had a family cat who we loved very much. As I got older, I now have my own cat who is my best friend. I have also done dog-walking in the past as I love dogs as well. I am available Monday through Friday in the mornings/early afternoons. I am also available on occasional night to stay with your pet if need be. I keep all items and foods that could be hazardous to my pet locked away in specific parts of the home. I also make sure to keep my cat on a consistent schedule when it comes to feeding and administering medication.
“Callie is just the sweetest pet sitter! Not only did she provide tons of cuddles and play, she even left a treat jar for Bailey and a thank you card after she was gone. What a sweet sentiment! Bailey appreciated the treats so much! And the thank you card was so sweet! Thank you Callie for that extra special touch! We will be sure to use her services in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Darby
This was our second time having Barb watch our two tabby boys for a long vacation and she was wonderful! As always, she went above and beyond to not only give extra care to one of our cats with allergies, but also take our trash out and water our plants. We came home to two happy boys and a clean home. Thanks so much, Barb! Highly recommend!

Madeline was fantastic for caring for our dog Mason. We had a great meet and greet and she brought treats that Mason instantly fell in love. Madeline provided great progress reports and dropped in on Mason at the scheduled times. We appreciate her care and attention she gave Mason and will book her again!

Nancy was wonderful! My boys loved her and she was able to adapt to a lot of challenging situations (my landlord changed the locks, pete needed additional medication halfway through, insulin, IBD flare). She was extremely communicative and I cannot recommend enough!

She sent me lots of updates, which I loved and which made me feel so comfortable knowing Freddy was in good hands. Her communication was great, and it was clear to me that she genuinely cared about him and took great care of him while I was away. I’m so grateful for the care she gave Freddy and would happily have her watch him again!

Spencer and Nell are AMAZING! They manage our high energy German Shepherd with gentleness and understanding. They even noticed a rash we hadn’t noticed! They’ve dealt with poop explosions and puppy nipping and still seem to genuinely love our puppy — and she loves them! Bonus — they also take really cute pics of her that are way better than mine. I trust them completely and have total peace of mind when they are dropping in to see her. Cannot recommend highly enough!

So grateful to have Kaylee watch our cat once again. We got very detailed updates about her every visit, and she was very content by the time we got home, which was a huge relief. Kaylee takes incredible care of our pets and our home. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Lyra & giving us peace of mind! ❤️

Zenith has been wonderful to work with - she is friendly, takes great care of my pets, and is overall an amazing sitter! She is very communicative when watching over my cats, and lets me know if any issues arise during her visits. I would 100% recommend her to watch your pets.

We are so lucky to have found Rachel! She took amazing care of our dog, Marnie. She kept me updated with lots of pictures and I could tell she was taking care of our dog like she was her own. She was reliable and I could enjoy my trip without worrying about my dog or my house. Will DEFINITELY be using Rachel to watch Marnie in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
