“Stephen did a great job taking care of my cat Ranjha during the holidays. He was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure Ranjha was comfortable while I was away. He kept me consistently updated with messages, which gave me peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend Stephen and would book with him again.”

About: Growing up I always had multiple cats in my home. I now have 2 awesome cats Missy and Spider who are almost 2 years old. I have experience giving insulin to senior cats. I also have experience with feline interstitial cystitis (FIC), as my cat Spider has this diagnosis and eats a special diet. I love all cats and would love to visit your baby while you are away! I work from home so I have a flexible schedule to drop in throughout the day or multiple times if needed! Also very available in the mornings or evenings. I will be focusing on drop in visits for cats. I can provide insulin to cats and have an understanding of medical diets. I would love to play with your cat while you're away and give them love!
“Ben did an awesome job of taking care of my sweet pup while I was at work. He provided informative updates and photos to let me know the visit went well! Thanks Ben!!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of friends/family since I was in middle school and would love the opportunity to continue this passion now that my work schedule is more flexible. I am also very active so going on long walks and making time for play is something that would be very easy for me. I would also be willing to follow any training routines that are practiced, as I understand the importance of consistency when it comes to developing new skills or maintaining pre-existing ones. I am currently working a remote job that makes it easier to go on midday walks. I am also comfortable with going on very early walks in the morning or in the evenings, as these are times where I would typically go to the gym, so it wouldn't be a difficult adjustment. The same goes for playtime. I typically provide care for pets in their own home, but if they are staying with me that is completely fine! I just ask that if there are any resources that your pets might need that they are brought with them, as I don't keep things like crates, toys, treats, food, e.t.c at home for guests.
About: I've watched and walked dogs for friends and family over the years. It would be my pleasure to help your furry companion get some valuable outdoor time walking or settle in with my own dog in our home while you're out of town. I do gig work and am a graduate student, but can spend quality of time with them as my schedule is very accommodating. Currently I'm making my own schedule as a gig workers and freelancer. So my day to day is extremely flexible. I make sure my own dog gets plenty of outdoor time and walk almost everywhere myself. Currently living in an apartment with a roof dog area. There are a number of dog relief areas around the neighborhood as well as a couple parks.

About: Hi! I’m Abby, and I’ve been caring for dogs of all kinds since I was young. From tiny pups to large breeds, energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs, I have experience with dogs of every size, age, and personality. I’ve spent years dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, always treating each dog with the same love and attention I’d give my own. Whether we’re out for a walk or enjoying some extra playtime, your dog’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities. As a PA student in my clinical year, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate walks and check-ins at various times during the day. I provide care for your pet in the comfort of their own home, sticking to their routines and providing walks, play time, or cuddles. I’m always happy to send a photo of your pet so you know they’re happy and safe while you’re away!
“Ellen was fantastic with Clover. She came to do a “Meet and Greet” and then we walked Clover to the park. Clover immediately took to Ellen, and I would not hesitate to have her watch Clover again. I would highly recommend!”

“She was wonderful! She fed my cat, cleaned the litter box, and my cat warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot. I felt really comfortable leaving her in her care.”

“Cailey was wonderful. Dependable and above expectations. Definitely will have her care for Rueben again. I highly recommend Cailey for all your pet sitting needs. 😀”

About: I have grown up with a dog and watched family and friends dogs. I would love to get a dog of my own one day but for now looking to spend some quality dog time with Rover! I am hybrid with work so my schedule is flexible. I also live very close to my work. Can work with the client to create a schedule best for them. I love going for walks and having some doggie snuggles. I think it’s important to remain consistent with their normal routine. Very flexible and look for directions from pet owners.

“Leilana was so great! She took such good care of my kitten Margot, took pictures of her, and communicated with me throughout the whole booking process. I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“I’m very pleased with AnnaMaria’s catsitting: Snapdragon was well looked after, and she does a great job with administering medications and sending updates.”

“Kristina was amazing! I needed someone very last minute to take care of our puppy. She was so nice to come out for a meet & great early in the morning to be able to know everything she needed to know for taking care of her the very same afternoon. She connected really well with our pup. She was very dependable, responsive, sent pictures, took our puppy out & played with her. She was very attentive to everything. Highly recommend and will definitely think of her again!”

“3rd time using Casey! She is great! Always sends pictures. I know my dog is in great hands with her. This time was very last minute and was very understanding when I forgot to leave the key for her. 🤦🏽♀️”

“Alexa was phenomenal! Watched my two cats for a week during the holiday. Clearly cares about pets, made sure my more anxious cat ate her food and went above and beyond playing with my other cat. Sent updates daily and was a timely communicator. I had peace of mind my whole trip knowing I could count on Alexa. Will definitely be re-booking with her whenever possible.”

“Rachel was so amazing with our cats, and truly saves us when we needed a sitter last minute. She was incredibly reliable, communicative and gave us regular photos and updates, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Philadelphia
Dan played an important role in our wedding weekend to care for our beloved senior dog. He was on time, professional, and gave incredible care to our dog. His detailed communication made us feel comfortable and allowed us to be fully present on our big day. We would recommend Dan to any of our friends!

Julia took excellent care of our two cats. They are both quite shy, but Julia was very patient with them and made sure to at least have eyes on them each day she was here - and she took the time to pet and play with our more outgoing guy once he became more comfortable. She communicated clearly, sharing anything that seemed abnormal throughout her visits, and she shared plenty of pictures. We already booked her again!

Gabrielle was incredibly thoughtful, punctual, and caring for our cat Mango while we were out. She followed all the instructions we left for her and always reported back with updates and photos from her visits. I would book again without hesitation. We came back to a happy boy :)

Ellie was so wonderful!! She was willing to do a meet and greet prior to the dates I needed her, and she was flexible with timing and my needs throughout the process. My cats seem very well taken care of, and Ellie did such a wonderful job following instructions I left with her. Winnie and Cleo would love to see her again!

Rachel did a fantastic job caring for my cat Leo. She provided regular updates, followed all of the instructions carefully, communicated well and provided photos with each visit, and was punctual as well. Would highly recommend her for your pet care needs. Your pet will be in great hands!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
