“Bryce was great with Alfie! It took Alfie some time to settle in which made me a bit nervous but Bryce ensured me that he had things under control and Alfie would be okay. He was even patient with me because I was worried! Bryce was also very accommodating when I had the dates incorrect due to the time zone. He quickly responded and modified the date. He was great! Thank you Bryce!”

“Nicole and Alexis were amazing! They kept us updated with great photos and were super responsive the whole time. It was so clear our dog was happy, loved, and well cared for while we were away. We’d absolutely book with them again!”

“Tony Is an excellent pet caretaker. I highly recommend him. Tony is very gracious and acommodating. I plan to hire him again to care for my baby, Trixie.”

“Such a great experience! They provided so many great updates throughout and my dog came home super happy! Big focus on making sure my dog had what they needed and stayed in their routine. Would highly recommend and will book again.”

“Nicole was so understanding and sympathetic when I dropped off my 4 month old pup - it was my first time leaving her and it was tough! She sent at least two pics each day of the visit, along with updates on how great she was doing and what a pleasure she was to have around. I don't know why I was worried - Nicole is the best :)”

“Jasmine did a great job watching my dog, Chianti! She was very flexible and on a very short notice. She kept me updated with pictures and videos, and I could tell Chianti was really enjoying her time. She offered to run with her, and had a great dog of her own, Sprinkles, who Chianti really clicked with. We are looking forward to Chianti staying with her again in the future!”

“Carismeldi watched my pup Prada from Friday to Sunday and she was great. She kept me in the loop with pics and updates throughout the day, which I really appreciated. Prada looked happy, comfortable, and totally at ease the whole time. She was easy to communicate with, super sweet, and you can tell she genuinely cares. I’d definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone needing a solid sitter.”

“My dog loves it here he barely wants to leave when he is with Tamikia and her family… soo glad my dog loves his sitter it makes me know that he is in a safe and happy environment…”

“My dog had a lovely time with Mitchell, who was super communicative and sent update photo every day. Marsha (Mitchell's dog) is sweet and was friendly to my dog when they met!”

“Christina was amazing! My husky is high energy and very in your face. She didn’t even bat an eye and let him be himself. She was gracious, accommodating and truly just wonderful. I would definitely trust her again and urge you to as well.”

About: I have had 4 rescue dogs all with with either abusive backgrounds or extensive time living on the streets (none of whom currently live with me). I am comfortable walking large dogs up to 100lbs or multiple dogs at once. I have also trained 2 of my younger dogs and am happy to reinforce your dog's training while they are with me. I am a current pre-medicine post-bac student, I volunteer at a homeless shelter and animal shelter, and I do research in the Emergency Department. Note: for boarding on weeknights with pickup Tuesday-Friday morning, pickup needs to be scheduled prior to 8:30am. My apartment is very dog friendly and has a dog run. I also love dogs and am very excited to spend time giving your dogs all the attention they need while with me. I am happy to send pictures and updates as you want!
“Tim was very responsive and took great care of Yuna. He was open to a last minute meet & greet and provided lots of photos of our pup throughout the day. We really appreciate his attention to her and would book with him again!”

“Logan is indisputably Gracie’s favorite sitter! She spent her entire weekend making sure Gracie felt comfortable, loved, and happy. I’ve never seen Gracie reluctantly come home so hoping we are able to get Logan for stays in the future as she’s super popular!”

“Mina was very good with everything no one else was available for my needs but she was very reliable and kept me updated I will definitely recommend her and visit again she gets 5stars from me”

“Kiara was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of my dog and sent frequent photo and video updates. I loved seeing how comfortable and happy he was with her and her other dogs!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Erika! She took such amazing care of our dog Layla while we were away. We got regular updates and the most adorable photos, which gave us total peace of mind knowing Layla was happy, safe, and loved. It was clear from the start that Erika truly cares about the dogs she watches — Layla immediately bonded with her. We arrived at pick-up to find a very happy and content pup. We highly recommend Erika to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Callie had such a blast with Chelsea, Lily, and Mars! Chelsea was extremely responsive and attentive to Callie’s needs. 100% recommend booking with her!”

“John is the absolute best. He and his equally hospitable Boston Terrier, Parker, took care of our Wheaten Dolly for two weeks. We were nervous having never left her with anyone for that long, but he provided us with regular (and often very funny) updates about how Dolly was doing. He took the time to understand Dolly and worked with her on some of her issues. She only sleeps on her back when she feels safe and secure, and many of the photos John sent showed her snoozing away on her back, paws in the air. She came back clean, brushed, and although she was excited to see me I think she was a little sad to say goodbye to John and Parker. We will absolutely be relying on John in the future and are so grateful to the kindness he showed us and Dolly.”

Helen is such a pro! She took great care of Reese's for 5 days while we were on vacation. She sent daily updates plus plenty of pictures every day. She also helped by sharing some training tips for my stubborn beagle lol. Looking forward to rebooking with her in the future!

Koda had a great weekend with Natasha and her family! She went above and beyond to make sure he ate his food and felt comfortable in a new environment. I felt very reassured that I was leaving him in good hands and Natasha sent plenty of updates and pictures throughout the weekend!

I am so so glad I found Victoria on Rover -- highly recommend if you need a sitter for your animal bb! <33 My dog has some health issues which affect his diet, and is a generally shy / anxious lil guy (like myself), and I can't express how grateful and secure I felt knowing Theo felt safe, cared for, and happy while I was away. Victoria has so much experience and compassion working with animals, and you can absolutely tell by her kindness, attentive care, and communication. I appreciated every message and cute picture of my pup Theo on walks, smiling, and relaxing with Victoria (and Remi, Nova, and Luey!) In addition, I appreciated the add-on booking allowing Victoria to come pick and drop Theo off. The ease of the booking and Victoria being such a lovely sitter eased so much of my mental load and stress of traveling and being away from my pup, and I can't recommend her enough. I think Theo says woof in agreement, since he came back so happy :) This was my first time booking with Victoria but I am so happy to have found a wonderful sitter and would love to rebook when I will need one for Theo again :)

Jessica was AMAZING with my fur baby!!! We flew in for a track meet and without a meet and greet she immediately hit it off with my baby!! She sent lots of pics throughout the day, took him on lots walks and he even got to mix and mingle at a block party and meet other doggy friends!! I can’t recommend her enough and I’ll be using her when I’m back in the Philly area. Thanks Jessica!!!!

Jake took great care of my 13 year old dog Ollie for 3days/nights in his place! Ollie needs meds 3 times per day which was no problem for Jake. He took him on long walks which Ollie loves. He’s very sweet and accommodating and I’ll definitely use him again. I knew Ollie was in good hands!
Kiara has watched our dog numerous times, and every time when we get there to drop our dog off she excitedly runs up Kiara’s steps to see her—which tells you everything you need to know to know about how well she treats the dogs she watches. She’s also extremely communicative and sends frequent pictures and updates. Highly recommend booking Kiara!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
There are 3,435 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Philadelphia. About 90% of Philadelphia sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
