“Huy watched Ruby for a few days and did a great job! She sent photo updates and Ruby was content and tired when she got home. Huy’s dog Gau is also such a sweetheart!”

“I have a 15-year-old (almost completely blind, because of cataracts) Bichon who requires a bit of extra care. I call him Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I couldn't have asked for a more attentive, loving and masterful sitter than Patricia. I highly recommend her exceptional care.”

“Kiara was fantastic! She was great with our dog, communicated and provided updates (and pictures) consistently, and was extremely helpful in scheduling drop-off and pick-up—she even met up with us to make sure our dog would be comfortable staying with her beforehand. Highly recommend Kiara!”

“Nicole was fantastic! Our pup was very happy, and we got frequent sweet updates throughout the week. Nicole's dog was great with ours, and they went to the park together often. Nicole also bathed our dog when he rolled in the mud and he came back smelling great! 10/10 would recommend, we will be asking for her help next time we are away!”

“Nicole and Sam are amazing! Ace loves it there! He has many girlfriends he gets to snuggle with. Bam tends to be more high maintenance and this was his first time there and he is acting like himself when I brought him home versus being scared and timid. He even interacted with the other dogs which he definitely hasn’t done before. I appreciate their patience and understanding. I had a flight canceled and they were able to accommodate me in keeping my boys an extra day. I hope to be able to use them again to take good care of my boys.”

“Eunji is wonderful! She responds to messages promptly, sent tons of photos from their many walks and playtime, and our dog came home happy and sleepy from all the excitement 🧡🧡🧡 Thank you so much Eunji!”

“Deena is extremely caring, precise, responsive and communicative. She accommodated last minute changes and took great care of my furry friend. 100% recommend!”

“Julie and Peter are fantastic!! Our dog is recovering from a broken leg and they took great care of her! We didn’t have to worry about a thing from the moment we met them. We will definitely use them in the future. Thank you again for taking care of Zoey!”

“It was my first time using Rover. Alexis was fantastic at watching my dog, Prince! She provided daily updates with pictures and videos, and it was obvious he was having a great time. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. Definitely a much better experience than a traditional doggy hotel. I will be using her service again. Also, I highly recommend her.”

“I can’t recommend Alexandra enough! She has been taking care of my dog, Milo, for quite some time now, and I always have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in her care. She and family truly treat Milo like he’s their own. He’s always so well cared for, loved, and honestly spoiled in the best way possible. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she watches, and it shows in everything she does. She’s reliable, kind, attentive, and always keeps me updated, which means so much. Milo is always happy to see her, and that says it all. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, she’s the one. I wholeheartedly recommend her!”

“Dakota seemed so comfortable which is rare for him because he’s super anxious and old and set in his ways! I’m so grateful for Christin and I received pictures along the way and I will definitely be rebooking!!”

About: I am a dog owner who just moved to Philly. My puppy is 5 years old and I have had her since she was 12 weeks old, so I know how to take care (walk, bathe, feed, potty breaks, identify aggressive dogs to stay away etc.) and basic train a puppy well. I am passionate about learning how to keep dogs happy and healthy; what they want is very simple - to be with their pack, exercise, eat, and sleep well. I cannot be more happy when they are running around, playing with dog friends (if they are up to it), and munching on yummy food! I have also taken care of other small and big adult dogs (shih tzu, spitz, husky, corgi) since I was 16 for my family and my neighbors. I have walked them, brushed them, bathed them. I am happy to walk dogs when I walk my own puppy in the morning or in the evening. My schedule is relatively flexible since I am home and free most of the time especially on week days. I often walk dogs at Rittenhouse Square. I can readily walk my dog and yours any time. My residence is a one-bedroom apartment, so it would be plenty of space for small to medium dogs. I am also only a few blocks away from an animal hospital if any unfortunate emergencies occur. I am a student at UPenn and my partner works in a tech job, so at least one of us will work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible. I walk dogs 2-3 times every day, usually once in the morning and twice in the evening. I have a 5-year-old Pomsky (small-medium sized) to keep your dog company! She is super friendly, calm, and well-trained, and I’m sure they will have a good time together! :)
“Katie was awesome. She took such great care of our sweet girl. Cleo was a little apprehensive at first but warmed up quickly to Katie’s pack. She kept us up to date with pictures and checkins daily which was much appreciated. I highly recommend Katie!”

“Couldn’t be more happy with Paula. She took great care of Bailey and sent pictures updates throughout the booking. I will definitely be rebooking again!”

“2nd time with Bobby and it was just as great as the first! This is the first time we’ve been comfortable to use the same sitter more than once and will def be going back next time! Thanks again!!”

“Glenda is very responsible and understanding, and most importantly, wonderful to our dog. She makes sure she understands the dog's needs and is very communicative with the owners. We had real peace of mind when our pup stayed the night with her. Our pup loves going to her and spending time with her family of dogs.”

Thank you so much for taking care of our dog! You sent us daily updates and lots of photos, which made us feel completely at ease while he was staying with you. We really appreciated how thoughtful and caring you were. He seemed to have a wonderful time and got along well with your dogs. We’re so happy that he had such a fun and comfortable stay! We would definitely love to book with you again whenever we travel. Thank you again for taking such great care of him!

This was Po’s first time with a Rover sitter and I could not have asked for a better experience. She was wonderful with sending updates about Po and was great with him as he is a super anxious dog! Super grateful to have a trustworthy and reliable sitter for my dog!!

Brooke was the best sitter!! She was fantastic with my Pitbull dog Jerry, and very accommodating to his needs, and very receptive to my litany of notes / instructions on what to expect with him, how to manage him, and overall what sort of attention/ care to provide him. She was very patient, she actually took notes, and I can tell that Jerry felt comfortable & secure in her care. Would highly recommend Brooke to anyone looking for a top tier dog sitter! She also has her own dog, Snow, who is very sweet and great with other dogs. She gave Jerry lots of good company

Chelsea has been my go-to sitter for a while and I fully trust her with my pets. Her place is great for my dog who loves to sit on the patio, and Chelsea is always great with accommodating between pickups and drop offs to make sure it’s convenient for everyone. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter in the area!

Erin was the best!! She was absolutely wonderful with my dog! I felt so comfortable leaving him with her for the weekend. She was super nice, communicative, and sent lots of updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. He seemed so happy and well cared for when I picked him up. I will definitely be booking with her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
