“Tamara did a great job taking care of Abbey. It was easy communicating and coordinating with her. We would definitely have Tamara take care of Abbey in the future.”
“Marti was so very happy to see Julie and Peter when we brought her to her return visit! She has obviously had another wonderful vacation in Center City. Julie and Peter are amazingly dog savvy and easy to work with. I'm sure we will be back for more!”

“tamikia was so amazing. this was my first time using rover and i was nervous about leaving my pup for 2 weeks but tamikia’s incredible response time and constant photo updates put me completely at ease. when i picked my dog up, she was so comfortable at tamikia’s house that she wasn’t even that excited to see me lol. i will 1000% be using tamikia for any future care. this is your sign to stop browsing on rover and book tamikia!!!”

“Tony was great with my two doggies Molly and Mochi. He was also very communicative and sent me daily updates. I love that he sent me pictures and videos throughout the day so I could see that my doggies were happy and enjoying backyard time with Tony, Minnie, Diamond, Roxie and Charlie.”

“Mitchell might be the BEST sitter we’ve ever booked on Rover. He sent the best pics of churro and reassured us every day how much fun they were having, putting us at ease and letting us have an awesome vacay. So communicative and responsive, I trusted churro had the time of his life. He walked churro home so that when we got back from our trip, he was already in our apartment!! Honestly no notes, 10/10.”

“Alexis was incredible with Koda!! It was my first time using the boarding feature with Rover but after meeting Alexis I was completely assured that Koda would be in good hands. Alexis gave daily updates and pics and made sure Koda felt comfortable while away from home.”

“Madeline was very communicative and made sure that my shy guy was comfortable. She and her husband clearly love dogs! I'll be utilizing their boarding again in the future.”

“I’ve never left my 7/mo old german shepherd with anyone but my parents until Emma. GSDs are very unique, requiring a lot of reassurance and attention so I had been reluctant to hand her over to just any sitter. I could not be happier with the care and attention Emma gave to my pup Dela! She went above and beyond, watching her for just a day. Firstly, she was super flexible about a meet-and-greet before hand and clearly absorbed everything I shared about Dela considering how much the 2 of them enjoyed their time together. They went on several walks, played games, and even went to the beer garden that I can only bear with young Dela when I am in a good mood. Dela came back home happy as can be, ready for a good night sleep. I also really appreciated how communicative Emma was the whole day - sending pictures and asking clarifying questions when it came to my own house rules. HIGHLY recommend Emma!!”

“She was absolutely amazing! She was very easy to communicate with, she gave us frequent updates including pictures and videos. Highly recommend her!”

“Boo just stayed for a little over a week while I was on vacation. She ran right up to their door which made me feel better about leaving her - it’s clear she enjoys herself! My connecting flight home was delayed 5+ hours and they were very gracious in letting Boo stay another night at the last minute. I received lots of pics of walks and Boo making new friends! Really appreciate the care provided and having such greats sitters in the neighborhood.”

“Renee was amazing with Ruby! Ruby had soooo much fun with her dog, Toffee, over the weekend. I got plenty of pictures and updates throughout which gave me great peace of mind. I don’t think Ruby even wanted to come home at the end, I will definitely be booking with Renee again!”

“Glenda was amazing. As soon as I dropped Elly off I knew she was in good hands. Glenda kept me updated throughout Elly’s entire stay, sending tons of pictures and texts, took her on plenty of walks, and couldn’t have been more accommodating of Elly’s specific needs. I can’t recommend Glenda highly enough!”

“John is an excellent dog sitter. He took such great care of my Boston Terrier puppy Nemo for the weekend. John was super communicative, very friendly, and made me feel super comfortable that Nemo was being well cared for. 10/10 recommend John for dog sitting!!”

“Robert was great with Lulu! He was responsive, responsible and flexible. He sent adorable photos and gave plenty of updates. Wouldn't hesitate to book him again! Excellent experience. Thank you :)”

“Christopher really put my mind at ease when I felt anxious about leaving Mochi for an extended boarding stay in an unfamiliar city. Mochi got more exercise than he ever gets with me and Christopher’s family’s home is beautiful and dog friendly (lots of doggie toys, cuddles on sofa, etc). I was a little worried about encounters with other dogs on walks (Mochi can be selectively dog aggressive). Christopher handled him like a champ and had no issues at all. There was a little trouble with medications, but in Chris’s defense- Mochi really doesn’t like the honkin’ large intercepter chew and it can be tough to fool him into eating it. I was concerned that I found pieces of the medicine mixed in with Mochi’s food in the big food bag- I believe Mochi just didn’t eat it and Chris mixed the leftover food (with medicine) back into the food bag. Overall I am very happy with Christopher and would use him again. Highly recommend!”

“Shakira is an incredible dog sitter. She provides consistent updates, so you always feel informed and at ease. We’ve used her multiple times for Binks and will absolutely continue to book with her. She’s reliable, attentive, and truly cares.”

“Liam was great with keeping me in the loop and sending pics! He was flexible with drop off and pick up. I’m glad Raff had some furry friends to play with as well :)”

“Jacob was great. He was responsible, communicative, and easy to reach. He kept us updated throughout our trip, and our pup was happy and relaxed when we got home. Highly recommend!”

Emma took such great care of my dog. This was my first time using Rover, and she made the entire experience so easy and reassuring. I really appreciated the daily updates and photos, and my dog looked so happy and comfortable the whole time. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Emma, and I would absolutely book with her again

Marlowe had a good time with Jake! We weren’t able to initially meet for our meet and greet, but surely made up for it during drop off! Jake was attentive to my overview of my care plan for Marlowe and had a fresh bowl of water ready to go for Marlowe upon arrival. He shared with me the space that Marlowe would be using which made me feel comfortable knowing my pup son would be well taken care of, he reviewed Marlowe’s profile, which is very important so he was aware of Marlowe’s needs before the boarding stay! Jake kept me informed, updated, and provided photos - which always allows me to breathe a sigh of relief knowing Marlowe is happy! Jake even shared when something accidentally broke and offered to rectify it himself- which shows character and integrity - two things that are a must for me when deciding the best place and the best Rover to entrust with my Marlowe! It’s safe to say I’d recommend Jake and that Marlowe will be a returning pal!

Zyiana and Jayda were great. We got regular photos and updates, and they were super responsive whenever we checked in. They made a point of making sure our dog felt as at-home as possible, and when our flight was delayed by a day, they were extremely flexible and accommodating, making sure our dog was taken care of until we got back. Highly recommend!

I was in a tough situation and had to go to the hospital. I contacted my trusted pals for my best friend aka this rover sitter, and they very quickly were able to coordinate pickup with one of my friends so that I didn’t have to worry about my dog while i was in the hospital. Truly amazing!
Tony did a great job caring for Honey, a very energetic puppy who keeps you engaged. The video and photo updates provided us contentment that Honey was having a great time. Thank you Tony for providing an attentive and fun environment for Honey. Honey had such a great time that after she got over the excitement of being back home she crawled back in her carrier asking to visit her new friends.

I needed a last minute sitter for my dog and Sara did an incredible job! I received daily updates, daily pictures, and felt completely comfortable while I was away on a five day trip. Frank is going on 11, so needs some extra attention and patience. She was perfect with him. I will definitely be looking for her availability in the future.

Juliana went above and beyond while taking care of Kaleb! She sent daily pictures and updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. When our flight was delayed, she was kind enough to keep Kaleb a little longer without hesitation. It's clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. I highly recommend Juliana and would absolutely trust her with Kaleb again!

Beanna was AMAZING with my puppy. She sent pics/videos and updates. She asked before doing anything that wasnt already discussed and her children treated him just as their own. KDee was very clean upon arrival. I was running late with picking him up and she was very accommodating. I will definitely use her again

Lucy had the best time with Shadow and Kerry! It was the first time I’ve left Lucy with anyone another than family and it was so good knowing she was well taken care of. Kerry sent plenty of updates on their time and how much fun the pups were having. I can tell Lucy already misses them and can’t wait to go back.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
