“Alice was so wonderful, sending lots of pictures, videos and updates. She was also extremely flexible with weather related travel delays. We are so appreciative of her care and flexibility. No hesitation to have Riley stay with her again.”

“Christopher is the best!! I always feel so comfortable leaving my dog Tofu with him. She gets so excited to see him. I know she loves her time with him!”

“Christin was amazing! I was a little worried because my puppy (Kiwi) is still very timid and suspicious of strangers, but Christin was very understanding and confident, that it was clear she's worked with difficult dogs before. She kept us informed of all the progress and we know Kiwi ended up relaxing and having a great time. Totally recommended and would totally rebook. Thank you!”

“Cannoli had a fantastic stay with Emelie! I was sent pictures throughout his stay and he even made some doggy friends with some of the other dogs she boarded. Would definitely rebook with her in the future!”

“Olivia was awesome with our dog Tobi! She sent lots of pictures and updates, took him on plenty of walks/fetch, and made sure he was happy the whole time. Her dog Loraine and Tobi got along great and had a blast playing together. I’ll definitely book with her again!”

“I have no complaints. I needed someone last minute and Zyiana and her fiancée came through. They were responsive, updated me with pictures and made sure Paris was comfortable in their home. This was her first time away so thank you for making her experience special.”

“Angela was fabulous! Quick to respond when we initially reached out, happy to book a meet and greet and sent us lots of great photos of our pup while we were out of town. Very kind and trustworthy- would recommend!”

“Robert was a great sitter for our dog, Maggie! He was kept us updated the whole time and even asked if he could use ear cleaner for Maggie when she had an itchy ear! The pictures he sent were amazing, we’ll probably have one framed! Maggie came home happy, healthy and tired ☺️”

“Felix was great with my dog nova. They made sure she was comfortable with the other animals in the house and stayed in communication throughout my trip. I have so many great photos from their walks and hanging out in the house. Felix is my first choice when I comes to Philly rovers”

“Dave provided outstanding care for my French Bulldog. His frequent updates gave me complete peace of mind, and it’s clear he treats every pet with genuine love and attention. I’ll definitely book with him again without hesitation!”

“Huy watched Ruby for a few days and did a great job! She sent photo updates and Ruby was content and tired when she got home. Huy’s dog Gau is also such a sweetheart!”

“Kerry is absolutely amazing. My pup loved spending time with her - either cuddling on the couch or lounging in the back porch with her. We greatly appreciated her constant communication and the care taken while our pup was in her care.”

“Christine was awesome. My dog absolutely enjoyed her stay. I will be using Christine again to watch my fur baby. She responds quickly, she's kind, and very attentive.”

“Pepsi had a fabulous time with Renee and Toffee. They were welcoming and very accommodating of our schedule (flexible with pick up/drop off). Sent regular photos and updates, took Pepsi out on multiple walks in a day, and played a lot with Pepsi. Highly recommend, Renee!”

“Liam was great with keeping me in the loop and sending pics! He was flexible with drop off and pick up. I’m glad Raff had some furry friends to play with as well :)”

“Tony was so welcoming and super sweet! I knew my pup would be safe and enjoy the backyard. Tony sent tons of videos and photos to update me along the day. Would love to have him as a sitter again!”

“Gregory was very responsive to my last minute request for boarding. My dog is little and anxious, and I was not sure how she would do with another dog as large as Koda, Gregory’s dog. But Koda turned out to be very well trained and had a lovely calm demeanor. Maya was very comfortable and I will definitely be using Gregory again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Yeadon
We’re so grateful for Ms. Patricia! She takes excellent care of Blizz whenever we travel and always gives us peace of mind knowing he’s in good hands. She’s attentive, caring, and treats him like family. On our most recent trip, we had unexpected car trouble that delayed our pickup, and she was incredibly understanding and accommodating. We highly recommend Ms. Patricia to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog sitter!

Appa had a great time at Cartier's house. She was very responsive and made sure to give Appa lots of love. Our dog is normally reserved / apprehensive with people he doesn't know, but they became fast friends. Appa uses an inhaler and Cartier was very helpful in making sure he got his medicine during his stay. When he came home, he was relaxed and his normal self, which is a testament to how welcoming Cartier was.

I've been hiring Olivia for over a year. She pays attention to the details of care instructions and also always sends a little update and photo at the end of every day. She has a calm energy that matches my chill dog really well, and I'm sure it would be grounding for dogs that are not as chill.

I was very happy with Mario! He's a gem! He did everything he could to make sure my 2 dogs Poc and Poki were comfortable! They were so relaxed when I arrived to get them. Poki can be anxious at times but with Mario he was not anxious! I am hoping to have Mario watch them again in 2 weeks because he took such good care of them!

I would highly recommend Tamikia! She was incredibly flexible and accommodating when I had to change my dates multiple times. She was always understanding, communicative, and willing to work with my schedule, which made a potentially stressful situation so much easier. My Yorkies were in great hands. She clearly treated my pets who all have anxiety with love and kindness. I really appreciated her professionalism and patience throughout the entire process. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

Deseree took great care of Chloe! She kept me updated with daily photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even let me drop Chloe off the night before so I wouldn’t have to worry about it the morning of my flight. She’s very sweet, and I would definitely trust her to watch Chloe again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
