“Liam was fantastic with Maggie, and she loved playing with Jack! Liam was incredibly communicative providing updates and photos of Maggie which is so comforting when being away from your fur baby. We highly recommend booking with him!”

“Christopher is such an amazing dog sitter. My dog definitely has separation anxiety and Christopher handles it wonderfully by giving him cuddles, long walks, and making my dog feel like he’s in his hone away from home! I would never go to anyone else again - he is so fantastic! My dog actually is sad to leave which I love!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have had my own since college. I’ve owned a beagle, a couple of pit mix rescues, a boxer and currently a terrier mix rescue who is about 1.5 years old. I work in education, so I’m off for summers, so offer plenty of time, attention and play time with our super-friendly 1.5 y/o terrier pooch I have a fenced yard with plenty of play space and a sociable, playful dog. I can crate-train if desired. Available for walks 2X daily
“Derek was fantastic. Super communicative and it was clear that he truly loved spending time with our pup. That means the world to us. We will definitely book him again!!”

“Tony is great with the littles, he’s got an awesome setup where they get time and room to play and socialize. You can tell he really enjoys taking care of the pups and will send lots of photos and videos of them enjoying their time! Mimi, our chihuahua mix, is slightly reserved in new situations by nature and Tony made her feel very comfortable and she ended up having a blast! Thank you!”

“Dana truly means that she will treat your dog like her own. She was super communicative , sending lots of pictures, and flexible as well. Our Riley girl had the best time with Dana and her dogs. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Tim was great! Took Billie on many walks and kept us updated the entire time we were away. Would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a dogsittee”

“Christine is the best ! She deserves more than 5 stars. This was my first time leaving my boy Milo. I was full of worries and anxiety as most of us feel when leaving our precious little ones. But all those feelings were gone when I met Christine. She is knowledgeable and kind with animals. She sent me many pictures and videos. Communication was great. Her love for Milo made me feel at ease. Milo loves her too ! Will definitely use her services again .”

“Zyiana is an excellent sitter. Sent daily updates and pictures of my dog. He seemed very happy during his stay. I highly recommend and will book again!”

“Emelie was the sweetest and most communicative caretaker I could’ve asked for for our little guy. He has some anxiety issues and needed a little extra TLC and that all seemed fine and easily done by this sweet and kind carer. He also got along with her other dogs really well which I’m sure made him feel even more at peace and at home away from home. Highly recommend Emelie for anyone looking for a safe, loving place for their furry family member.”

“George watched our dog over Thanksgiving. He was very responsive leading up to and during the stay. He sent us pictures of her during having a great time. He took her on lots of walks and she seemed well cared for. When we picked her up she was so happy and pumped in a way she typically only is after she has had lots of fun. Will definitely use again and would recommend!”

“Our dog was happy and exhausted when he arrived home. He helped Nicole garden, and played well with her dogs. It was clear from her many texts that she enjoyed our dog's exuberant personality. :) Nicole was kind enough to drop by the next morning with a water bowl that we had left.”

“Juliana was great. Quick to reply and easy to book. Received pictures with updates daily of Raven. Would highly recommend and will be booking again with her in the future.”

“Madeline did a great job of taking care of my baby. She greeted him warmly in a spotless house. Madeline kept me up to date with pictures and when I picked him up, he was happy and clearly well taken care of. In addition she was flexible on timing. I recommend Madeline to anyone who is looking for good quality care.”

“Very pleased! This was our first time using a Petsitter outside of our family/friends and we couldn’t have been more impressed. I know our pup was in super hands. Very appreciative of Kerry’s updates, and we could tell that Riggs felt comfortable and happy the whole time we were away. Kerry is wonderful!”

“We are glad to have found Brooke in the area to care for our two dogs when we are away! Videos are helpful and our dogs seem to have a good time!!!”

“My standard poodle has stayed with Rebecca twice now. She sends tons of photos and videos and is super communicative which I really appreciate. Finn was really excited to see her again and that says it all to me. Definitely a sitter I trust and hope to use again!”

“Host is a good communicator and very time conscious. He sent in pics and kept us informed of how the pups were doing. We left our Husky and Lab babies with Brian. They had plenty of exercise in the back yard with other dogs, a total of 6 when we boarded ours. We would definitely rebook with him !”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Drexel Hill
I used Shelby and Robbie for a last minute trip and was so thankful they were able to take My dog Miles. From beginning to end they made it so easy to communicate and followed up on how miles was doing without me having to ask. Miles had a great time, I would definitely use them again!

This was my first time leaving my dog, Aldo, for such a long period, so I was honestly a bit nervous at first. The first couple of days were the hardest for me, and I found myself checking in often. Donte was very understanding and kept me updated, which really helped. After the first few days, I started receiving regular videos, pictures, and even video calls, and that made a huge difference. I could see Aldo was not just okay, he was actually having a great time. He’s normally the only dog at home, but during his stay, he had other dogs to interact with and played and enjoyed himself. It honestly felt like he was the one on vacation, not me. Aldo is a 12-year-old senior dog and can be a picky eater, so I was concerned about how he would adjust. Donte was very patient with him and made sure he was comfortable. When I picked him up, Aldo was completely himself, calm, normal, and clearly well taken care of. That meant a lot to me. I also really appreciated the home environment. There were always people around, which helped Aldo feel more at ease since he’s used to that at home. Overall, I’m very grateful for the care and attention Aldo received. You can tell Donte genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I would definitely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Kaelin is very sweet and attentive to your pets , I left my cat with her and she would constantly update me on her whether if it was photos or messaging me just how she was. My cat is a little shy so she was nervous but Kaelin was very sweet to her, would definitely recommend .

Barbara was such an amazing host to our puppy Astra! She sent over plenty of pictures and a wonderful video of our pup playing with her dogs. Astra had a great time and came home absolutely exhausted which is a rare sight. Looking forward to booking with her again!

Jennifer is the best dog sitter, we love bringing my dog Nico with her. I know he is going to be cared for when we drop him off and she provides excellent communication and picture updates. Nico is happy to see her always - she is a gem among dog sitters we are so greatful to have found her!

We couldn't be happier with Rachel! She took amazing care of our dog, Stella, for a weekend stay. We received several updates and adorable photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. Stella tends to have separation anxiety but immediately settled in with Rachel and came home calm, happy, healthy, and tired from all the playtime. We'll definitely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
