“Diana was amazing with our pups. It was such a last minute need when we found out my mom had Covid and couldn’t watch our 2 dogs for Memorial Day weekend. Diana was right there. She took them in, cared for them, took pictures and asked essential questions. The pups were happy and healthy when picked up and clearly had a great weekend. We are so grateful for her and would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Carly was great with my dog and took my reservation when I need someone last minute. She sent great pics and let me know how it was going throughout the trip. My dog came back happy and content! Thank you!! ❤️”

“Alice is awesome! She helped take care of my dog Emily while I was traveling for three days. Alice is very trustworthy and responsible. She is detail-oriented and made sure everything related to Emily—her leash, eating habits, and walking routine—was in order from the very first day. She also gave Emily lots of pets to help her adjust well. Alice sent me pictures every day and responded to my texts promptly! When I picked Emily up, she kept looking back in the direction of Alice’s apartment—I could tell Emily really liked her and missed her! I highly recommend Alice if you need boarding services. She’s truly great!”

“Amy was fantastic - we instantly felt comfortable with her husband and her (and, more importantly, so did the dog!). She was very detail oriented, sent pictures throughout Champ's short stay and made sure Champ got plenty of exercise. I also appreciated her policy not to take multiple dogs at once. We will definitely be repeating with Amy - the whole experience was great!”

“Dana was the best sitter we could ask for! She was super communicative and shared lots of photos. Our dog clearly had a fantastic time and we will absolutely bring him back for our next vacation!”

“Juliana did an awesome job! She was the first sitter for our puppy and we could not be happier with how things went. We will definitely work with her again. She kept us up to date on her activities and kept our little one on schedule and busy. 💕”

“Virginia was an amazing Rover for our 2 dogs, Cleo and Louis! They seemed incredibly comfortable and loved in their few days with her. Virginia sent us photos and made sure to keep us updated on how they were doing.”

“George watched our dog over Thanksgiving. He was very responsive leading up to and during the stay. He sent us pictures of her during having a great time. He took her on lots of walks and she seemed well cared for. When we picked her up she was so happy and pumped in a way she typically only is after she has had lots of fun. Will definitely use again and would recommend!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Christine. She is incredibly experienced and truly cared for our good boy Franklin. She provided regular updates, which I really appreciated, and it was clear my dog was comfortable and happy in her care. I also love that she doesn’t have young children or other pets, and her yard provided a great space for Franklin to play and relax. Highly recommend—she’s reliable, attentive, and a true dog lover!”

“Nicole is a total gem! A friend referred me to her and I couldn't be more grateful! Nicole took AMAZING care of Koda and kept me constantly updated with photos!!! Plus Koda became great friends with Nicole's pups and came home adorably tired! I 100% trust Nicole with my baby and happily recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect puppy sitter!”
“Amazing trip as always. I never ever feel worried about my dog feeling sad that we are leaving because he has more fun with Chris than he probably does with us! Our dog looks so happy and comfortable in every picture- I cannot ever thank Chris enough for taking such good care of our dog every time. We love you Chris!!”

“Our dog regularly stays with Brian when we travel and every visit has been wonderful. Brian keeps us updated with information and pictures and our dog comes home well taken care of and very happy. Brian is a terrific sitter and I highly recommend him.”

“If I could give Jessica six stars I would! She was super kind and accommodating from the very first interaction. I appreciated her flexibility and willingness to take the time to talk to me and get to know my dog. She sent many updates with pictures, which was comforting being that it was the first time my dog was away from home overnight. She answered all my questions and was easily reachable. I would highly recommend her pet sitting services.”

“Derek was absolutely amazing! He watched our Frenchie for a long weekend. We wish he lived closer because we would hire him all of the time. His communication was the best before during and afterwards. We felt comfortable and knew Homer was getting such great love! I don’t think Homer wanted to leave he had the best time. I wish we could give more than 5 stars!”

“This was my second time having Stephanie and her partner watch Clowe, and I could not be happier! Stephanie is a great communicator, and always available. My pup can’t wait to hang there again! Thanks Stephanie!”

“Madeline is amazing! I have a new puppy (11 weeks old) who I boarded with her overnight. He was very comfortable and happy! She followed all instructions for potty training and feeding. He was very happy and had so much fun. I definitely will be using her again if I need a sitter. Thank you Madeline!”

“We were very happy with the excellent care Chrissy gave Sammie. Chrissy sent lots of pictures and videos! When we picked Sammie up he was very happy but he didn't want to leave. He felt right at home, LOL! We already booked her for another sleepover! I would highly recommend Chrissy to anyone.”
“Jasmine was super kind and took great care of our pups! She sent lots of photos and videos to keep us updated when we missed our friends, and gave them plenty of excercise”

Michell and Tiago were so warm and welcoming at our meet and greet; I was instantly at ease. Their communication is incredible- it feels like chatting with a friend! We received picture and narrative updates daily, along with goofy pictures of my pups’ antics. We were traveling internationally for nearly two weeks and never once had to think twice or worry. If I was a more selfish person, I would never leave this review so I could keep Michell and Tiago all to myself. 😂 They are truly special and your pets will receive a vacation the same time you are.

There is not enough good things I can say about the care that Juliana showed Meek. She is warm and friendly and Meek sensed it immediately and was comfortable in her care. I received updates and pictures of daily walks and time spent in her home. Juliana is so wonderful with communication that make you feel so comfortable that your pup is safe, having fun and in a happy home. We will definitely be using her again many times over. Thank you Juliana!!!

I used Shelby and Robbie for a last minute trip and was so thankful they were able to take My dog Miles. From beginning to end they made it so easy to communicate and followed up on how miles was doing without me having to ask. Miles had a great time, I would definitely use them again!

This was my first time leaving my dog, Aldo, for such a long period, so I was honestly a bit nervous at first. The first couple of days were the hardest for me, and I found myself checking in often. Donte was very understanding and kept me updated, which really helped. After the first few days, I started receiving regular videos, pictures, and even video calls, and that made a huge difference. I could see Aldo was not just okay, he was actually having a great time. He’s normally the only dog at home, but during his stay, he had other dogs to interact with and played and enjoyed himself. It honestly felt like he was the one on vacation, not me. Aldo is a 12-year-old senior dog and can be a picky eater, so I was concerned about how he would adjust. Donte was very patient with him and made sure he was comfortable. When I picked him up, Aldo was completely himself, calm, normal, and clearly well taken care of. That meant a lot to me. I also really appreciated the home environment. There were always people around, which helped Aldo feel more at ease since he’s used to that at home. Overall, I’m very grateful for the care and attention Aldo received. You can tell Donte genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I would definitely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Kaelin is very sweet and attentive to your pets , I left my cat with her and she would constantly update me on her whether if it was photos or messaging me just how she was. My cat is a little shy so she was nervous but Kaelin was very sweet to her, would definitely recommend .

Saya and David were amazing! I had to book a sitter at the last minute, and they made the whole experience stress-free. I have two dogs with very different needs—one is high-energy, and the other is older and has a lot of anxiety—and they did a great job caring for both of them. They were very responsive, sent lots of great photos and updates, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with them and knew they were in good hands. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them!
Barbara was such an amazing host to our puppy Astra! She sent over plenty of pictures and a wonderful video of our pup playing with her dogs. Astra had a great time and came home absolutely exhausted which is a rare sight. Looking forward to booking with her again!

Jennifer is the best dog sitter, we love bringing my dog Nico with her. I know he is going to be cared for when we drop him off and she provides excellent communication and picture updates. Nico is happy to see her always - she is a gem among dog sitters we are so greatful to have found her!

We couldn't be happier with Rachel! She took amazing care of our dog, Stella, for a weekend stay. We received several updates and adorable photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. Stella tends to have separation anxiety but immediately settled in with Rachel and came home calm, happy, healthy, and tired from all the playtime. We'll definitely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
