“Barbara did great with our crazy pup! It was such a relief to have someone be able to let our dog out and spend time with him while we weren’t home. Very respectful of our home and communication was great. We all very much appreciated her services, especially Hooper haha. Gave us such peace of mind knowing he got to run around outside a bit.”

“Heather took great care of my cat while I was away for a week. She dropped by once a day and gave him lots of attention and sent pictures and thorough updates. Would definitely recommend her for any cat sitting needs!”

“We are so lucky that Kaylee was able to watch our dog and cat while we were gone. She took such great care of them and really eased my anxiety about going away. She took such great care of our home too. I will be booking Kaylee again for sure, and highly recommend her as a pet sitter.”

“This was our first time working with Raquel, and it went very well. She stopped by to spend an hour with our two dogs, Tate and Penny, well also feeding them and giving them lots of love. Raquel was very good communicator, was on time, and provided photographs of her time with our dogs. We are really excited that we found Raquel and look forward to having her spend more time with our dogs, Tate and Penny in the future. If anyone’s looking for a five star Pet Sitter on Rover Raquel‘s your gal!”

About: What sets me apart is my calm and gentle demeanor, especially beneficial for anxious or shy pets. I create a peaceful and reassuring environment, helping them feel safe and comfortable. I'm skilled at reading their body language and adapting my approach to their individual needs. I'm also very patient and understanding, giving them the time they need to adjust. I'm experienced in creating a safe and comfortable space, and I am very good at slow introductions. Pet care is a top priority in my daily and weekly routine. I believe in providing consistent care, so I establish regular feeding and walk schedules. I'm also flexible and adapt to each pet's unique needs. Throughout the day, I monitor their behavior and ensure they have fresh water and playtime. I genuinely love spending time with animals and providing them with the best possible care. My approach to pet care is built on providing a safe, happy, and healthy environment for every animal. Here's what that looks like: * Routine and Consistency: I understand the importance of routine, so I strictly follow feeding schedules and exercise plans provided by owners. * Personalized Attention: Every pet is unique, and I tailor my care to their individual needs. Some dogs love fetch, while others prefer gentle cuddles. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality and preferences. For example, with shy cats, I use slow, gentle movements and let them approach me on their own terms.
“Absolutely amazing from start to finish! She took the time to do a meet and greet to meet our goldendoodle peaches. Asked questions about how we were transitioning her kibble and gave loving care to our puppy while we were away at work. Her reports are detailed with videos and pictures of all the fun they had and she even offered to clean my floors when they got dirty from the salt on our sidewalk from the snow storm we had last week. You will not regret booking her!”

“Breanna is so sweet with my kitties and provides thorough updates which is comforting when I’m away from home. Would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”

“I'd 100% book Angelica again! She did a great job looking after my bunnies, and went above and beyond with tidying up after a week of visits. She was on top of communication at all times. Yay Angelica!”

“Sarah checked in on my little man a few times a week while I was away on a trip. She gave him the attention and play that he needed to not be too lonely. It was great to know he was well cared for when I was gone. I loved all the updates and photos too! I would definitely have Sarah check in on him again!”
“Paz did a great job. She pays very close attention to detail, even going so far as to take lots of notes during our meet and greet. My dog is reactive so needs special care around other dogs. Paz followed my directions and safely navigated around the problems. She was also willing to take care of my dog despite having a sudden bout of diarrhea that started the day before her visit. Lots of pictures and excellent communication.”

“It was our first time leaving, Daphne, our cat alone for a weekend and we were apprehensive in leaving her with a sitter. Patricia took the time to come to our house and meet Daphne. When it came time to leave for our trip Patricia made sure to send us a whole bunch of pictures of her and Daphne playing and having a good time. Patricia made our first experience using Rover effortless and made us feel comfortable while we enjoyed our weekend. We will be sure to check if Patricia is available next time we book a trip.”
About: From blue tick coonhounds to chiweenies, I know my way around walking dogs! During my volunteering at an animal shelter, I learned proper walking and handling methods, so every walk is set to be safe and happy! I work part-time, often with multiple full days off that can be dedicated to keeping your pets safe, healthy, and happy! I’m also comfortable with taking care of pets before or after my shifts :) While I currently do not offer boarding, I am more than happy to visit wherever your pet calls home and give them comfortability and familiarity.
About: I have always had at least one cat my whole life and since I was 10 years old, one (to several) dogs. Spending time with my dogs and husband is my favorite activity. I also have experience with guinea pigs, hamsters, and turtles. I work a full-time job from home and I am able to make my own schedule, I just need some heads up to accommodate a schedule change. I love my full time job, however, it is a desk job and I am really looking to get out more and would love to enjoy some walks with your dog! I am happy to do a meet and greet so that both you and your pup can feel comfortable with me and I know all of the important details to keep them safe and happy.
“Michael is amazing! He goes above and beyond and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog with him dropping in a few times a day. I have never left my dog with someone I didn’t know. He sent pictures during all of his visits and even bought my big guy a new toy which has become his favorite! Michael also took my recycling bins out just to be kind. Truly above and beyond. Thank you for giving my family peace of mind knowing our dog was safe and cared for so we could enjoy vacation!”

“Brenna offered great care to our two cats during the hottest week of the year thus far, communicating in real time during check ins to help our finicky eat and be comfortable. Thank you, Brenna!”

About: I work from home and love spending time with animals. Cats and dogs alike. I grew up with them and have had many of my own throughout the years that have given me a ton of experience handling lots of different situations and pet personalities. All sizes, breeds and training levels are fine. Your pet will absolutely be my top priority and I'll ensure they're well taken care of in every way needed. If you're particular about their food, environment, etc. I completely understand!! They're our babies and they deserve the best we can give them no matter what it takes. I work remotely with a mostly flexible schedule so multiple walks and potty breaks throughout the day, early mornings or late nights aren't a problem. I have spent years taking care of animals and know how to give medications, how to handle a variety of behaviors, which foods and plants are toxic, and my first priority will always be your pets safety. Before you leave, I will ensure vet information is clear and readily available, I will ask about special diet considerations, allergies, stressors, habits and any issues that could come up. I have my own transportation and will be extremely clear and responsive should anything ever happen. Additionally, my communication style is focused on trust, transparency and openness. I want to make sure you have full peace of mind and all updates will be easily matched to your needs - whether it is daily or hourly updates to be sure that you feel no hesitation about leaving your furry friends in my care.
About: As the mother of a 3 year old neutered Dalmatian and as a Veterinary Technician I come with the knowledge of wellness and emergency care as well as the exercise needs of your baby! You have a puppy or kitten that wants to play all day long ? No problem! I can teach him/her some basic training/tricks such as sit, stay, and the command “drop it” for safety reasons! (It can be both English and Spanish since I’m fluent on both languages!). You have a senior dog/cat that prefers to cuddle and sleep all day? We can do that as well! I am flexible regardless of age and breed! I can administer medication based on your preference and needs of your pet as well as feed and provide water as needed! My goal is to help your pet feel loved and at peace while you as the owner, get to have peace of mind with who your pet is with! *I provide a smoke, alcohol, and drug free home as well as a play mate if necessary for your dog!* *If your dog or cat is not dog friendly that’s no problem for boarding at my home! Both my dog and your pet can be separated upon request!* I have an open schedule throughout the week based on your needs as a client and the needs of your pet regardless of the time in the day! I provide a peaceful and quiet environment that fits perfect for an anxious pet but also a very nearby dog park within my apartment complex where your dog can run around for as long as they’ll like! I’m flexible for your needs and requests!
About: I’m a dog mom of one dog. I rescued her from Puerto Rico a few years ago. I’ve also assisted in transporting dogs from Puerto Rico to the states. We have an active life and enjoy hiking. I will provide fun and activities for your dog. I can come to your house or the dog comes to my house. If you feel more comfortable with just your dog at my house that can be arranged. I know how some dogs sometimes prefer to be the only pet at home. I currently work at home and available all day. I can provide the constant attention your dog will need. I have a fenced in yard. I will provide multiple walks throughout the day. I can dog sit at your house or my house. I have plenty of parks nearby for walks. There’s also hiking trails nearby. I offer dog baths for an additional fee if interested.
About: Of course I love animals, but what matters more to me is noticing who your pet actually is. Are they the kind of dog who needs to sniff the same corner for five minutes before moving on? Are they a little shy at first and pretending not to care? Do they get excited easily and need someone calm around them? Are they a cat who wants company, but absolutely not too much company? I really enjoy figuring out those little things. I’m gentle, patient, and very respectful of each pet’s routine. I don’t believe in rushing them or treating every animal the same. Some pets need play and attention, some need slow walks and quiet reassurance, and some just need someone kind nearby so the house does not feel empty. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that still feels familiar to them. I’m also very careful with instructions. Feeding routines, medications, walk preferences, favorite toys, things that scare them, how they like to be greeted, whether they are allowed on the couch. I want to know all of it. I know these details are not “extra.” They are usually the things that make a pet feel secure. I’ll also send updates and photos, not just to say everything is fine, but so you can actually feel connected to them while you are away. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, may also help me sometimes, and you may see her in some of my photos. She has had pets since childhood and fostered animals for several years, so she is very used to different personalities, nervous pets, affectionate pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. She is calm, loving, and very responsible, and I trust her completely with animals. Between the two of us, your pet will be cared for by people who genuinely like being around animals, but who also understand that trust matters. I’ll treat your pet with warmth, patience, and care, and I’ll treat your home and instructions with respect. This year, much of my work is remote, which gives me real flexibility in my schedule. That means I’m able to spend unrushed, attentive time with pets, not just quick check-ins, but actual companionship, care, and presence. I can shape my day around walks, visits, feeding times, play, and quiet company, depending on what each pet needs. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, who is included in the pictures, also helps me out with my Rover schedules. My home is my cat Lilo’s safe little kingdom, so I can’t host other pets here. But I’m very happy to come to your home, meet outside for walks, or figure out a setup that feels easy and comfortable for you and your pet.

My husband had always make the arrangements with Ryder so I was a little apprehensive taking care of it myself. But couldn’t have been easier. Melissa was great. All of her reports were fun to read. Thanks Melissa and Rover. Little Girl was well taken care of while I was away.
Jada is excellent. Quick and painless with watching my beloved babies. Toward the end of the visit my VERY standoffish girl that usually stays away from people offered some cuddles which was pretty much a stamp of approval. Attentive, quick, and made sure to come on time to feed my babies. Will be booking again.

Angelica did a great job visiting our two cats. She sent lots of pics, and I can see they got lots of love and attention. She also did a great job keeping things clean and brought in our mail without being asked. I really appreciate that! I definitely recommend her.

This was our first time working with Raquel, and it went very well. Robyn was absolutely phenomenal! I was going away on a work trip and feeling a bit anxious about leaving my kitties for an extended period of time as I was going cross-country. This was the first time I was doing this along with using a cat sitter. At the suggestion of a dear friend, I signed up for Rover and Robyn put me at ease immediately. From our first meetup, I knew I made a great decision. She was very thorough in taking pictures and checking in with me and also followed my directions I left for her. I also noted her thoughtfulness and attention to detail and care. She treated my cats with dignity and love and even my dad was in awe of what a great job she was doing in my absence. I will definitely use Robyn’s services again! She is a gem and Rover is so lucky to have her!

Olivia was wonderful and helped keep our minds at ease while we were away. This is the longest trip we’ve taken and were reassured with daily check-in photos and details on our cats. Olivia is always quick to respond and was so wonderful to work with. She provided so many photos that truly highlighted how well the cats were cared for a while we were away. Our cats aren’t the most friendly which she understood and worked with their personalities. Highly recommended Olivia for any cat sitting needs

- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
