I have always had cats in my life, and I can’t imagine how dull my life would be without them. I am always looking to make new fur friends, so I would love to meet your pets. I currently have 3 cats of my own, but occasionally have more. They just seem to find me, and I never turn away an animal in need. I have also done some pet rescue work and help to maintain two feral cat colonies near my home.

Have pets with medical needs? No problem! I am a registered nurse (for humans), and adopt cats who have been abandoned or surrendered because of medical issues. I believe every soul deserves love and to feel safe, despite what their medical issues might be. I have had cats with diabetes who needed insulin, kidney disease and needed sub-q IV fluids, kitty dementia, deafness, IBD, mega colon, FIV, hemophilia, and the worst of all…major catitude! I am comfortable giving medications, insulin, and whatever else your furry friend might need. I am also not afraid of “mean” kitties or “hissy” kitties. I just meet them where they are, and do my best to convince them that I just want to be friends. I am also comfortable administering medications/treatments to dogs, I just have more experience with cats. I work nightshift and have a different schedule every week, but I would (and have) go without sleep to make sure all the kitties in my care get what they need and have fun while their parents are away. I do have my own car and of course would take your cat to their veterinarian if the need ever arises.
Information Heather R. would like to know about your pet
I need to know the standard stuff, like who your veterinarian is and if there is someone local who you want me to contact like a friend or sibling if your pet gets sick. Also would love to know about their favorite toys, hiding places, and their demeanor around newbies to their homes.
A typical day
We will play and sing songs that I make up about them, and maybe do some light exercise. We will have deep conversations about the meaning of life and animals superiority over humans. Things like that.

Pet care experience
Please note that for new clients I am only available for morning and afternoon visits on the weekends and on holidays. I am available for evening visits every day. For existing customers please contact me and I will try to accommodate you in the mornings if I can. I am only available for afternoon visits on weekends and holidays. I am available for evening visits every day. For all customers: I usually work Saturday evenings and plan my visits around my work schedule. This means I will sometimes visit your pet before my shift, sometimes after my shift, depending on what is closest to the schedule they are already on. . Hi there! I’m Heather, and I’m a cat lady. I love dogs too! My cats have allowed me to join this app. They are used to me coming home smelling like other animals. GASP! I used to be extremely anxious when I would have to leave my cats overnight, when I traveled for work or was going on vacation. Then a few people recommended the Rover app to me, and I found an amazing cat sitter. I still miss my feline overlords when I am away now, but I don’t worry as much about how they are doing or what they are getting in to. I want to do the same for you. Go on your trip knowing that your best fur friends are in good hands!

Reviews

Heather is fantastic! You can tell she truly loves cats, and I’m glad she was available to check on my two kitties while I was away. I’ll definitely reach out to her again in the future.

Heather was absolutely fantastic with our cat Charlie while we were away! She was incredibly communicative, sending daily photo updates and detailed notes that gave me complete peace of mind. They followed all feeding and litter box instructions perfectly. I came home to a happy, relaxed kitty and a spotless home. I highly recommend Heather!
Heather took great care of our kitties while we were away!
