Furry Getaway—Fun while you’re away
Hi there! I’m Barb, a lifelong animal lover who’s happiest when surrounded by wagging tails and purring cats! I’ve been part of the Rover community since 2018 and have cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities over the years. Animals are truly my passion, which is why I now work with them full-time through pet care and grooming. I’m currently a part-time groomer at Petco, which has given me even more hands-on experience with animal behavior, handling, and making pets feel safe and comfortable in new environments. My husband and I are both huge animal lovers — honestly, if it were up to him, we’d probably have 10+ dogs and cats by now! 🐶🐱 Our shared love for animals fills our home with warmth, laughter, and plenty of fur (the best kind!). We live in Glenolden, where we offer a safe, loving, and playful environment for pets to feel right at home. Our house has a fully fenced yard where pups can safely run, play, and enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor time. We also share our home with our two rescue babies — Oliver and Tazzie — who have taught us so much about patience, love, and understanding every pet’s unique personality. Because of them, I have a special soft spot for anxious, timid, and rescue pets who may need extra reassurance and care. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or just loves extra cuddles, I treat every animal like family. My goal is always to provide a stress-free experience filled with love, attention, playtime, and peace of mind for you while you’re away. I also have experience with medication administration and caring for multiple types of animals, including cats and small pets. Your pet will always be in caring and capable hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! 🐾

Excellent experience with catsitting for our 10 year old cat when we were away. She was communicative, reliable, and sent us video and text updates. She also helped us water our plants while we were away, which was above and beyond! Thank you!!
We booked twice a day drop in visits with Barb for our two male tabbies while away on a ten day vacation and we couldn’t be more pleased with her care. This is the longest we’ve ever left our boys and from the very first day we felt completely at ease. Barb went so far above and beyond to care for them—giving one of them oral meds at the last minute, preparing treat toys for them at her visits, perfectly following their feeding arrangement and sending tons of sweet photos. She offered to take our trash and recycling out without us asking, collected our mail, watered our plants and made sure that an important package was picked up quickly from our porch. It was such a huge relief to travel without worry knowing our boys were in incredible hands and we’ve already booked with Barb for two more of our summer getaways. Highly recommend choosing her to look after your fur babies!
She saved me last minute after my previous dog sitter had an emergency! When I say a lifesaver… I literally mean that! She was fabulous with our dog.
Barbara was such an amazing host to our puppy Astra! She sent over plenty of pictures and a wonderful video of our pup playing with her dogs. Astra had a great time and came home absolutely exhausted which is a rare sight. Looking forward to booking with her again!
Barbara was wonderful and we will certainly hire her again! We have a cat who needs medication and Barbara was so confident in administering it, she totally put my mind at ease leaving our boys in her care! Pictures each day were through and she followed all our instructions. Communication before and during our trip was great. I highly recommend Barbara!
