Pet care experience

Life is better with pets!

I have been an animal lover for longer than I can remember. My soul dog, January, recently passed and until I'm ready for a new love of my life, I'll be a good aunt to yours! I have lived with and was responsible for the direct care of multiple dogs and cats over the years. I frequently dog, cat and house-sit for several close friends and family. I have experience with puppies, adult and senior dogs. (Seniors are my fav!) Giving meds is a skill I've gotten good at along the way. I take the responsibility of being entrusted with the care of your family member very seriously and will always follow written instructions when provided. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have!

House Sitting • Sep 09, 2025

Jessica exceeded every expectation! I was out of the country for 10 days. Jessica house sat and took care of my two 11-year-old cats. My boy needs meds every morning and evening. She made great effort to make sure he got the meds, especially the first couple of days when he was getting used to her. She actually brought gates from her home and moved furniture so that she could give my boy his meds. She texted me every day with updates and pictures. I recommend her without hesitation. She's great!

Jessica treated our dogs wonderfully. She was really attentive to their schedule and needs. She sent us lots of pictures and videos while we were away. We would definitely book her again.

If I could give Jessica six stars I would! She was super kind and accommodating from the very first interaction. I appreciated her flexibility and willingness to take the time to talk to me and get to know my dog. She sent many updates with pictures, which was comforting being that it was the first time my dog was away from home overnight. She answered all my questions and was easily reachable. I would highly recommend her pet sitting services.

Schedule

I have a hybrid remote work schedule (2 days remote, 3 in the office, weekends off). I'm in the office (near Broad and Spring Garden). For boarding, my hybrid schedule helps me be available for being at home for extended weekend stays. Depending on the need and location, I can do house-sitting and check-ins in many locations within the city and Delaware County. (If you found me from the Rover car magnet, still send your request over even though you will be prompted that you are outside of my house-sitting radius. Based on other things I have scheduled, I'm willing to travel to many locations!)

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a twin home in Delaware County with minimal steps to the first floor from outside. My medium size backyard is not fenced in but I love walking in my neighborhood. Other dogs in my life have required long bouts of exercise daily so I'm used to even the higher amounts of activity to keep your dog tired and happy! I do have two long term foster cats that live in my home. For everyone's safety, I will keep them in a separate part of the house during dog boarding unless the dog has extensive experience living with cats.

Pets

A typical day

I love long (and if necessary, brisk) walks through the neighborhood that I live in. There is also a beautiful cemetery about half a mile from my house that I love to take walks in with dogs that require more exercise. Its hilly and quiet and the complete round trip walk from my doorstep would be about 2.5 miles. There is also a new fenced-in, single use dog space that is less than 1 mile from my house and frequent with dogs being boarded.

It's important for me to know how your pet manages being alone in your house. Particularly if there are crating instructions or if they are prone to getting into anything so that I can prepare my house accordingly. If your dog has a history of being aggressive, biting humans, fighting with other dogs or really anything that is more on the unusual or extreme side, please tell me this. There isn't much that would be an automatic deal breaker for me and I would much rather do preventive work to keep everyone safe than find out by surprise.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
