“We highly recommend Chrissy! She cared for our Gracie like she was one of her own. We were away for a week and she sent pics & videos to keep us posted. I’m usually a worrier but not on this trip! Gracie was extremely happy & content!”

“Tamikia was great and kept me in the loop with regular updates about how Dexter was doing with videos + pics. This kept me at ease and it’s clear he had a great time! 🥺🫶🏾🐾”

“Laura was the absolute best!! I couldn’t ask for a better person and environment for my dog. I didn’t have to worry at all while I was away - I was confident that my dog was being loved and cared for. Thank you!”

“We had a great experience boarding with Leah. We arranged a meet and greet prior which was helpful for me and my husband and probably our dog Maggie. Leah was a good communicator and flexible. I feel like she took good care of Maggie and that her dogs were good companions and helped Maggie pass the time playing. I’m not sure our dog missed us at all. Thank you Leah and family.”

“Eric was the BEST! I went international for 10 days and never had to worry. Joey came back happy and I knew he was loved. Thank you, Eric! Consider yourself added to my Rover rolodex. :)”

“Yuiko did an outstanding job with Riley. He had a great time. Their family treated him just like their own! Will definitely book with her again!!!!”

“All the hype about Dante is true! He’s communicative, accommodating, and really great energy. He asks a lot of questions to ensure my Kado was well taken care of. Dante is someone who truly loves what he does and that makes me happy. I think Kado and I found a permanent sitter until Dante retires us lol”

“Mygan was amazing! She took such great care of my Charlie! She was so kind and thoughtful. She sent pics daily like I asked and she even did well with his medication. Thank you so much I will definitely rebook!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Carismeldi taking care of my dog. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and responsible throughout the entire stay. What I appreciated most was that she kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was well cared for and received lots of attention and affection. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter!”

“Amy was amazing with my dog, Roxy!! I highly recommend using her. Roxy is an older mini goldendoodle and Amy was so accommodating and sweet with her. I got daily updates with photos. I felt so comfortable and Amy made the process super smooth. I booked her last minute and so glad I did. I highly recommend and would use her again!”

“We appreciate Ginger (and Phil) so much! Our Rico and Margo are characters for sure, each with their own little quirks and needs, but Ginger is so amazing with them! She’s so caring and communicative, always making sure they’re happy and comfortable!”

“Rooney always has the BEST time with Chris!! He is so well cared for and exercised and loves to play with the other dogs in Chris’ care. He came back tired and happy!”

“Jessica is absolutely wonderful and I can’t recommend her enough! I have a quirky senior dog and Jessica takes such great care of her and I can tell she loves on my dog like she’s her own. Jessica asks all the right questions and is a great communicator, she always checks in and sends the best pictures. My schedule can sometimes be fluid while I’m away traveling and Jessica is beyond accommodating when it comes to pick up and drop off times. I have booked with Jessica 3 times now and will continue to book with her as much as I can!”

“Madeline is a very nice person who takes good care of dogs in her Girard Estate home. She usually boards more than one dog at a time, and We like the setting because our 11 lb Cavapoo gets some socialization with other nice dogs. She is otherwise very timid. You will enjoy chatting with her, and she will text photos while she is caring for your dog. We will be happy to use Madeline again.”

“Jeslyn was so sweet! She arrived at the car with treats to pick up my pup, and kept her comfortable and was well taken care of. Great communicator, I received plenty of pictures throughout her stay. Will definitely book again!”

“Kristina was awesome! She sent daily updates and pictures which I really appreciated, took Mika on daily walks, and really made me feel like she gave her special attention and care! We look forward to using Kristina in the future!”

“Fantastic experience! They took amazing care of Trey and kept me updated with great communication and photos. Trey seemed happy, comfortable and well cared for when I returned. I will definitely book again.”

“My dog was cared for so well during her first visit. Tim was so nice and sent pictures. His dog Maui was so gentle and I am sure never bothers the dogs they are caring for.”

“Tim was great! Took Billie on many walks and kept us updated the entire time we were away. Would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a dogsittee”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Morton
Robbie and Shelby were very responsive and communicative. They were responsive to the information provided about our pets, especially with Baxter who is an anxious boy who just needs a little extra love to settle in. They sent great updates with videos and pictures and kept me posted on how everyone was doing.

Chrissy is amazing to work with. I love her home away from home approach. She gathered information and details about Plum's daily routine. Her updates and feedback about Plum were fun and professional. Plum had a fantastic day. I never had to request an update or status. Chrissy sent timely updates. Chrissy is genuinely caring. We are so grateful to have found her.

Thank you for taking such great care of our dog while we were on vacation! Rachel and her husband are wonderful sitters! Without fail, we received pictures and/or videos daily, letting us know that Winston was doing well and having a good time. We look forward to continuing the relationship with Rachel and her husband in the future.

Thanks so much Paloma! Chip is a giant 8 month old puppy with a lot of love to handle--I know it takes a kind, understanding person to put up with him. Thank you for taking such good care of him and going above and beyond to accommodate my travel. I had a great vacation because of you!

Kaelin is very sweet and attentive to your pets , I left my cat with her and she would constantly update me on her whether if it was photos or messaging me just how she was. My cat is a little shy so she was nervous but Kaelin was very sweet to her, would definitely recommend .

Barbara was such an amazing host to our puppy Astra! She sent over plenty of pictures and a wonderful video of our pup playing with her dogs. Astra had a great time and came home absolutely exhausted which is a rare sight. Looking forward to booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
