“Carismeldi watched my pup Prada from Friday to Sunday and she was great. She kept me in the loop with pics and updates throughout the day, which I really appreciated. Prada looked happy, comfortable, and totally at ease the whole time. She was easy to communicate with, super sweet, and you can tell she genuinely cares. I’d definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone needing a solid sitter.”

“All the hype about Dante is true! He’s communicative, accommodating, and really great energy. He asks a lot of questions to ensure my Kado was well taken care of. Dante is someone who truly loves what he does and that makes me happy. I think Kado and I found a permanent sitter until Dante retires us lol”

“Eric was the BEST! I went international for 10 days and never had to worry. Joey came back happy and I knew he was loved. Thank you, Eric! Consider yourself added to my Rover rolodex. :)”

“Laura was the absolute best!! I couldn’t ask for a better person and environment for my dog. I didn’t have to worry at all while I was away - I was confident that my dog was being loved and cared for. Thank you!”

“Jacqueline was wonderful. She was very sweet and attentive with my senior fur baby. Jackie understood that I was a nervous mommy, since this was my first time leaving Guennie with anyone outside a family member, and made sure to update me on Guennie, including sending photos and videos. The communication was great. Jacqueline made both of us feel comfortable and at ease. I will definitely use her again to watch my fur baby. Thank you, Jacqueline for taking such great care of Guennie.”

“Billie had a great time! Aubrey reached out with updates and photos and the whole process was very smooth! This was our first time boarding our dog and we will definitely bring her back to Aubrey again.”

“OMG! Alyssa and Marcus were amazing!!! It was Sam's first time being away from home. I was super nervous because he can get a little anxious and I didn't know how he would adjust to being away from home. We thought about it over some time and Alyssa and Marcus were able to accomodate our plans last minute. Before the reservation was even finalized, they were so helpful and reassuring. They kept me updated throughout his stay with so many pictures and reassurances. It really put my mind at ease. Sam had such a good time with Zara, Alyssa, and Marcus...I think he was upset he had to leave! I can't imagine sending him anywhere else. I definitely weill be booking with them again.”

“Yuiko was great with our pup, Yeti! She sent multiple pictures everyday, which is something we really like. We will definitely send him to her again. He also seemed to have lots of fun with her family and the other pups she was boarding!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Saya and David . They were caring and attentive, and my dog felt completely at ease and well cared for while staying with them. It gave me such peace of mind to know my dog was in such loving hands. I highly recommend them.”

“Ralphie came home happy and tired, he had a lot of activity and was well cared for. Andres sent us pictures and updates letting us know Ralphie was having a good time. We appreciated the updates giving us peace of mind while we were vacationing several states away. Andres has a wonderful large property giving the dogs he cares for plenty of space to run around, which our Ralphie is used to and we look for in a sitter's home. We would recommend Andres as your next pet sitter!”

“Alice is awesome! She helped take care of my dog Emily while I was traveling for three days. Alice is very trustworthy and responsible. She is detail-oriented and made sure everything related to Emily—her leash, eating habits, and walking routine—was in order from the very first day. She also gave Emily lots of pets to help her adjust well. Alice sent me pictures every day and responded to my texts promptly! When I picked Emily up, she kept looking back in the direction of Alice’s apartment—I could tell Emily really liked her and missed her! I highly recommend Alice if you need boarding services. She’s truly great!”

“Diana was amazing with our pups. It was such a last minute need when we found out my mom had Covid and couldn’t watch our 2 dogs for Memorial Day weekend. Diana was right there. She took them in, cared for them, took pictures and asked essential questions. The pups were happy and healthy when picked up and clearly had a great weekend. We are so grateful for her and would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Christin was amazing! I was a little worried because my puppy (Kiwi) is still very timid and suspicious of strangers, but Christin was very understanding and confident, that it was clear she's worked with difficult dogs before. She kept us informed of all the progress and we know Kiwi ended up relaxing and having a great time. Totally recommended and would totally rebook. Thank you!”

“Andreah was so accommodating for our last minute request. Our dog was happy and tired from all the fun he had. I will highly recommended Andreah to watch your dog.”

“Virginia was an amazing Rover for our 2 dogs, Cleo and Louis! They seemed incredibly comfortable and loved in their few days with her. Virginia sent us photos and made sure to keep us updated on how they were doing.”

“Amy was fantastic - we instantly felt comfortable with her husband and her (and, more importantly, so did the dog!). She was very detail oriented, sent pictures throughout Champ's short stay and made sure Champ got plenty of exercise. I also appreciated her policy not to take multiple dogs at once. We will definitely be repeating with Amy - the whole experience was great!”

“Madeline was wonderful with my dog Charlie. He is often very timid with new people and dogs, but he seemed to adjust well to Madeline's home. She sent lots of updates and photos, and he looked very happy. It was my first time using Rover, and I will definitely ask Madeline to take care of Charlie again when I need to travel in the future.”

There is not enough good things I can say about the care that Juliana showed Meek. She is warm and friendly and Meek sensed it immediately and was comfortable in her care. I received updates and pictures of daily walks and time spent in her home. Juliana is so wonderful with communication that make you feel so comfortable that your pup is safe, having fun and in a happy home. We will definitely be using her again many times over. Thank you Juliana!!!

Saya and David were amazing! I had to book a sitter at the last minute, and they made the whole experience stress-free. I have two dogs with very different needs—one is high-energy, and the other is older and has a lot of anxiety—and they did a great job caring for both of them. They were very responsive, sent lots of great photos and updates, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with them and knew they were in good hands. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them!
Barbara was such an amazing host to our puppy Astra! She sent over plenty of pictures and a wonderful video of our pup playing with her dogs. Astra had a great time and came home absolutely exhausted which is a rare sight. Looking forward to booking with her again!

Rosie had a great time at Kevin’s house with his dog and the other pups he was boarding. She came back happy and relaxed. Kevin was very thorough when we met up, and he asked lots of questions so that I would feel safe leaving Rosie. I’m very happy with the experience and I will use Kevin again soon.

Rocky just spent 4 days with Cinthia and her adorable dog Zoey. He had the best time and was so well taken care of. Cinthia sent me pictures and texts to let me know how he was doing which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend her and I would use her again.

Rose is an AMAZING sitter. My dog Papi loves to stay with her and her son. Rose does a great job sending updates and sharing photos of my baby while I’m away. She is also flexible; there have been times I have had to go away for work on short notice and Rose is always available. She’s apart of the family now! We love Rose! Be sure to book with her! Love Ya Rose ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
