“Meredith was excellent! She took the time to listen to details about my dog so that her stay went well. She has a dog friendly home and yard plus she loves the dogs! Besides caring for my dog she played with her and went for walks. Meredith was easy to book with and kept me posted during the stay. When I came for pickup my dog was relaxed and it was apparent they had bonded. Meredith exceeded my expectations in all regards.”

“Aaron was very attentive to our Frenchie. He sent pictures every day and played with her. When we came to get her she didn’t seem like she wanted to leave! This was our second time boarding with Aaron and I feel so happy and comfortable leaving her with him anytime! Glad we found him!”

“We were so glad that we booked with Rhea! She sent updates, photos or short videos each day, and she didn't hesitate to write to us with questions. She has a clean apartment, too, and she clearly enjoyed taking care of our dog! In addition, her dog is also a sweet guy. We appreciate that she doesn't take too many dogs at one time. We definitely recommend her!!”

“Ben was so great!! Took amazing care of my baby doodle and sent multiple updates. He was always available if I had questions. He was so friendly and clearly cared for my dog as if it was his own. I will definitely use again!!”

“Kristina does such a great job with Oli, who clearly loves hanging out at her home while we are away. Kristina sends lots of pictures of her long daily walks and playtime at home.”

“Tony was so great. Thank you!!!!!! House was very clean and he sent videos. We really appreciate it and will come back if our dog is with us for a birds or phils game. Go birds!”

“Diana was amazing with our pups. It was such a last minute need when we found out my mom had Covid and couldn’t watch our 2 dogs for Memorial Day weekend. Diana was right there. She took them in, cared for them, took pictures and asked essential questions. The pups were happy and healthy when picked up and clearly had a great weekend. We are so grateful for her and would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“This was our very first time boarding our dog, Dash, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We left him with Marissa for an entire week, and she went above and beyond to make both Dash and us feel comfortable. She sent daily updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. Dash looked so incredibly happy the whole time and made plenty of new doggy friends while he was there. To top it off, Marissa even sent him home with homemade treats and the sweetest little pawprint craft that we’ll cherish forever. It’s clear she truly loves and cares for the dogs she watches. We will absolutely use Marissa every time we need pet care, and we recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and thoughtful sitter!”

“Liz and her family took of my dog, Pete, for 7 days. Pete had a wonderful time with Liz’s husband, children and her two dogs. I got daily updates with pictures - Pete was often out having fun at parks or hanging out with the kids and dogs. Pete slept in Liz’s daughter’s everyday. Liz and her family are dog lovers and they made every effort to make Pete comfortable. Pete will be back at Liz’s very soon.”

“Jackie was just wonderful with our four year old Toller. She was responsive, flexible, and very good with dogs. Upon first meeting, our Toller clearly felt comfortable with Jackie. We used her services for boarding, but would highly recommend her for walks or house sitting as well. Our children loved getting pictures and videos throughout her stay. Would use again!”

“Eric took such great care of Kobe. He was so responsive, accommodating to Kobe’s needs, and was so gracious when traffic delayed our pick up. We will definitely be booking Eric again”

“When first meeting Christine prior to leaving my fur baby in her care we sat, chatted and from that short time I knew she was someone I liked. I truly felt she was an animal lover and understood my feelings about leaving Pearl for the first time for a long weekend. I’ve had Pearl for 2 yrs but she had been in 3 homes prior and I was worried of her confusion. Thank goodness for Christine, she stepped up with love and care. I received pictures and updates that eased my soul and I’m sure Pearl’s too because she looked comfortable and happy. Christine also went the extra mile to make sure Pearl ate properly during her stay due to a nervous stomach at first and I really appreciated that. I would definitely refer Christine to others. They will benefit from Christine’s love, comfort, and communication. Above all a happy fur baby when they return. Thank you Christine!!!♥️🐶”

“OMG! Alyssa and Marcus were amazing!!! It was Sam's first time being away from home. I was super nervous because he can get a little anxious and I didn't know how he would adjust to being away from home. We thought about it over some time and Alyssa and Marcus were able to accomodate our plans last minute. Before the reservation was even finalized, they were so helpful and reassuring. They kept me updated throughout his stay with so many pictures and reassurances. It really put my mind at ease. Sam had such a good time with Zara, Alyssa, and Marcus...I think he was upset he had to leave! I can't imagine sending him anywhere else. I definitely weill be booking with them again.”

“Sherry was so kind and attentive to our dog. She had us do a meet-and-greet, which helped my dog to go to her when we dropped her off. She sent us pictures and videos while we were apart. She walked our dog frequently. We are grateful for her kindness to our dog.”

“We received updates with photos or videos every day and could see our dog loved Jessica. On the final day, when picking him up we saw how comfortable he was with Jessica as well. We are very happy and will be back for sure.”

There is not enough good things I can say about the care that Juliana showed Meek. She is warm and friendly and Meek sensed it immediately and was comfortable in her care. I received updates and pictures of daily walks and time spent in her home. Juliana is so wonderful with communication that make you feel so comfortable that your pup is safe, having fun and in a happy home. We will definitely be using her again many times over. Thank you Juliana!!!

Aimee was an excellent dog sitter! She was incredibly caring and attentive, always quick to respond to any questions or requests. Aimee adapted to our dog's needs with ease, ensuring Bella was well-cared for and happy. We also appreciated the regular updates and pictures she sent, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. I highly recommend Aimee for anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!

Andreah (and her Mother) are Awesome!! Extremely caring and sweet and provided our cherished Buddy a warm and comfortable stay while we were down the shore!! She sent us updates with pictures on a daily basis, which gave us peace of mind. We will definitely be utilizing her services again! Strongly recommend.

I used Shelby and Robbie for a last minute trip and was so thankful they were able to take My dog Miles. From beginning to end they made it so easy to communicate and followed up on how miles was doing without me having to ask. Miles had a great time, I would definitely use them again!

Our 2 year old mini golden doodle, Pepper, had a lovely stay with Leah and her mini golden doodle, Ollie. Leah communicated frequently and provided great updates. We knew Pepper was doing well the whole time, and it was nice knowing Pepper had another dog to hang out with. Two walks a day and a fenced in backyard with exceptional care from Leah, and another dog was a perfect situation for our energetic pup. 11 out of 10!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
