“Carly was fantastic. She watched my dog, Griffey, over Memorial Day Weekend and I was very satisfied with the experience. Carly was proactive with sending updates every day throughout the stay, so I always knew how Griffey was doing. It was a great environment for Griffey - her two dogs provided the companionship, socialization, and play that he would not typically have otherwise, and the hikes Carly took him on gave him plenty of exercise. Carly was a great sitter and it was clear that she genuinely cared for Griffey's well-being. I would definitely return as a customer if Griffey needs a sitter in the future.”

“Shelby and Rob helped me out with a last minute request. I had never booked with them before but they were super responsive and accommodating. My dog has separation anxiety and can take a little time to warm up to people but she was comfortable in their care. They sent me pics during her stay and kept me up to date. Would definitely recommend!”

“Brian was absolutely PHENOMENAL. He sent daily updates and pictures of our girls, not to mention he has 2 beautiful golden retrievers himself. I could not recommend Brian enough and will absolutely be using him as our default watcher moving forward!!! 5/5”

“Camilla is incredible! We were so nervous leaving our 11 month old rescue without either of us for the first time, especially because he has separation anxiety. He took to her immediately and we could tell that he was in the best hands. We truly felt so relieved the moment we walked out the door & were able to enjoy our trip! We received photos and updates all weekend long, and could tell they formed a special bond. We already booked more care with Camilla this month! She treats Beau like her own and is so special to us because of it!”

“Our dog Walter had a great overnight stay with Scott! He made some new doggy friends and got lots of sofa snuggles. I received loads of photos of all the fun and never doubted for a second that our canine kid was in good hands. Thanks, Scott! Walter will be back soon.”

“Rebecca was absolutely wonderful! I was fully confident in leaving Mousse with her after doing an initial meet and greet. It was very clear that Rebecca has a good sense of how dogs are and what they need. She was careful to point out that her stairway was sometimes a challenge for dogs and that it was important to make sure Mousse would be ok navigating them... and she'd thought out where to place the crate in her apartment so it wasn't in the sun. She sent regular check ins and Mousse was clearly having a great time in all the pictures :) In addition, Rebecca was very flexible and understanding when we were stuck in traffic and needed to delay pick up by a few hours. We hope to add Rebecca to our regular rotation of Rover sitters!”
“Ms. Pat and family are Excellent sitters! They were very communicative and kept us updated with lots of photos and videos while we were away. It was clear our Blizzard was well cared for and loved. We truly appreciated their attentiveness and will definitely book with them again for future trips!”

“Jennifer is so great with Lucy! She spends time with her a d takes her out for walks. She keeps us informed on how Lucy is doing and sends fun picks. We highly reccommend Jennifer!”

“It was such a pleasure leaving our dog overnight with Rachel and her husband. You can tell what dog-lovers they are! Even though it was only for one night, Rachel sent pictures and videos to keep us updated on the goings on of our pup. It set our minds at ease knowing we could enjoy the holiday without worrying. We’ll be sure to use Rachel again!”

“Felix was great with my dog nova. They made sure she was comfortable with the other animals in the house and stayed in communication throughout my trip. I have so many great photos from their walks and hanging out in the house. Felix is my first choice when I comes to Philly rovers”

“Olivia was great at watching my dog Milo over an extended period of time. It was easy to setup a meet and greet where we did a walk with Milo. She made sure to keep me updated daily with photos and videos, and texts. She took really good care of Milo. I would absolutely recommend Olivia and to use her again in the future.”

“Alex communicated through the app with great response time. He was available immediately at drop off and pick up. Zeke appeared to be well taken care of and his normal self when I picked him up.”

“I am so so glad I found Victoria on Rover -- highly recommend if you need a sitter for your animal bb! <33 My dog has some health issues which affect his diet, and is a generally shy / anxious lil guy (like myself), and I can't express how grateful and secure I felt knowing Theo felt safe, cared for, and happy while I was away. Victoria has so much experience and compassion working with animals, and you can absolutely tell by her kindness, attentive care, and communication. I appreciated every message and cute picture of my pup Theo on walks, smiling, and relaxing with Victoria (and Remi, Nova, and Luey!) In addition, I appreciated the add-on booking allowing Victoria to come pick and drop Theo off. The ease of the booking and Victoria being such a lovely sitter eased so much of my mental load and stress of traveling and being away from my pup, and I can't recommend her enough. I think Theo says woof in agreement, since he came back so happy :) This was my first time booking with Victoria but I am so happy to have found a wonderful sitter and would love to rebook when I will need one for Theo again :)”

“Kiara is an absolute godsend. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with my pup when she tore her paw pad right before I had to leave town - she couldn’t be around other dogs because she would want to play, but it’s hard to find a sitter who can isolate your dog, especially on a holiday weekend! Kiara did just that and tried to stay with Rosie as much as she could so she never got lonely. I could just tell from the numerous, wonderful pictures and videos sent that Rosie was having the time of her life. On top of this, I don’t have a car, so was planning on walking Rosie to a sitter. When she hurt her paw, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do or how I was getting her there. Without hesitation, Kiara said she would pick her up. Even when my flight home got delayed 8 hours and a 6 PM arrival time turned into 11:30 PM, Kiara STILL dropped Rosie off for me just before midnight. I can’t say enough good things about her!!”

About: Hi! I’m Sarah. As a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom, I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. I treat every dog like they're family and make sure they get plenty of love while you're away. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I'm happy to accommodate feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and any special instructions. Whether your pup loves long walks, backyard playtime, or just cuddling on the couch, I'll make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet, so I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages throughout their stay. I currently have a friendly young pup of my own, so I understand puppy energy, training consistency, and the importance of creating a safe, positive environment. I am currently working remote at home. I have a flexible schedule and am available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and boarding throughout the week, including evenings and weekends. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog for good company. We live in a quiet family friendly neighborhood surrounded by sidewalks to ensure safe walks.
“My husband and I were skeptical to leave our dog with a stranger at first. Nevertheless, all the dog lovers out there, knows that “NO ONE” watches our fur babies unless it is very necessary. Fortunately, Sam and Samuel were amazing people from the moment we met them. They were patient, caring, loving, and flexible with our schedules. They even embraced Knox’s hyperactive temperament. We requested to have a meet-up with them prior to making a decision that soon after my husband and I were appreciative for the care our fur baby would receive. Knox was overly excited to stay with Sam and Samuel from Thursday, 12-5 through Friday, 12-6 overnight. They were very proactive with communication and sent us many updates of how happy, and excited he was to be in their presence. My husband and I loved the interaction they gave to our baby. Awesome dog sitter that loves on our dog. They will be our forever sitter. Thanks to our sitter, Sam and Samuel for taking great care of our boy, Knox. See you very soon!”

“Nicole and Alexis were great with Shaggy Bob! They met in advance and also let Shaggy meet their dog Cinnamon too to make sure they were okay with each other. They sent photos and updates each day!”

“Bahisha was excellent. She was a great communicator, sent frequent updates, and took great care of our dog! She came home happy and healthy. Would go back again!”

Robbie and Shelby were very responsive and communicative. They were responsive to the information provided about our pets, especially with Baxter who is an anxious boy who just needs a little extra love to settle in. They sent great updates with videos and pictures and kept me posted on how everyone was doing.

Chrissy is amazing to work with. I love her home away from home approach. She gathered information and details about Plum's daily routine. Her updates and feedback about Plum were fun and professional. Plum had a fantastic day. I never had to request an update or status. Chrissy sent timely updates. Chrissy is genuinely caring. We are so grateful to have found her.

Thanks so much Paloma! Chip is a giant 8 month old puppy with a lot of love to handle--I know it takes a kind, understanding person to put up with him. Thank you for taking such good care of him and going above and beyond to accommodate my travel. I had a great vacation because of you!

Ms. Pat and family are Excellent sitters! They were very communicative and kept us updated with lots of photos and videos while we were away. It was clear our Blizzard was well cared for and loved. We truly appreciated their attentiveness and will definitely book with them again for future trips!

Barbara was such an amazing host to our puppy Astra! She sent over plenty of pictures and a wonderful video of our pup playing with her dogs. Astra had a great time and came home absolutely exhausted which is a rare sight. Looking forward to booking with her again!

Rosie had a great time at Kevin’s house with his dog and the other pups he was boarding. She came back happy and relaxed. Kevin was very thorough when we met up, and he asked lots of questions so that I would feel safe leaving Rosie. I’m very happy with the experience and I will use Kevin again soon.

I had a fantastic experience with Tara! She boarded our two cats at her home for about 10 days while my partner and I were out of the country. She and her daughters are so sweet, caring, and attentive -- I know our cats were treated like little princes while we were away. Tara made sure to send photos and videos to keep us updated on how the cats were doing. They were clearly in good hands and I would not hesitate to book Tara again for our next trip!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
