About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up in Linstead Jamaica, my family owned a small farm, where we tended goats and chickens. We also took care of 2 generations of Rottweilers, so for as long as I can remember, I have had pets. Because of this, I’ve gotten to care for dogs of all ages - from newborn to older, in sickness and health. Since moving to Philly in 2016, my family has rescued a Cat (Rocket) and a Shih Tzu (Betty White). Needless to say, if given the opportunity I will make sure to give not only care for, but love your pet! I am currently home full time. Feel free to reach out - I am available early mornings and nights, and for drop ins or house sittings when needed. I am also open to last minute bookings. I live with a family of 4. We live in a home in a very quiet neighborhood near Cobbs creek - with trails and parks within the vicinity. We currently do not have any of our own pets, but any pets we have cared for had the luxury of enjoying outdoors at almost any hour and to meet and play with other pets at different parks. About: I’ve grown up around pets my whole life; my parents always indulged my love for animals. I’ve raised birds, reptiles, fish, cats, dogs and rodents. Recently I’ve taken my hobby for training dogs more seriously and have been studying to become a professional dog trainer to fulfill a need within my community. I’m a freelance game developer so whenever I’m not in creating, I’m practicing dog training or playing video games with my friends. Our Rottie took to Melissa immediately, which has never happened with any other dog walker. Melissa had no issues walking both dogs at the same time. It was very clear that Rebecca has a good sense of how dogs are and what they need. She was careful to point out that her stairway was sometimes a challenge for dogs and that it was important to make sure Mousse would be ok navigating them... and she'd thought out where to place the crate in her apartment so it wasn't in the sun. She sent regular check ins and Mousse was clearly having a great time in all the pictures :) In addition, Rebecca was very flexible and understanding when we were stuck in traffic and needed to delay pick up by a few hours. We hope to add Rebecca to our regular rotation of Rover sitters!”
