“Sarah visited our cats while we were gone. She was very responsible and regularly sent us pictures of the cats playing. We came back to well fed cats, and she was great!”

“Olivia is very nice and took time with my cats every visit. She’s also aware if they didn’t want to play, and never forced them. She cleaned up any messes without complaint and kept me updated in every aspect with lots of pictures!”

“Heather was so helpful with a last minute drop in! She was great with my dogs (who she had never met prior) which was such a relief! I absolutely recommend Heather and will be requesting her for future visits◡̈”

“Helena was exactly what I had in mind when I was looking for someone to care for my dog. I am so happy to have found her! Thank you Helena for taking such wonderful care of Princess!!”
About: I love taking care of pets! My favorite thing is to always make sure animals are happy and loved. I grew up with many pets from tiny mice to a German shepherd! I am a 4th year college student at West Chester University . I commute to school so I’m only on campus for classes (starting August 24) . I also work part time, but will be free anytime you need help! I’m hoping to make extra money to help with school payments. My school schedule Monday 2-4 Tuesday: 9:30-10:45, 11-2 Wednesday: 10-11:45, 2-4 Thursday: 9:30-10;45 I do have to leave around 1.5 hours before my first class starts in order to find parking. I provide attentive and loving care for your dog or cat whether my home or yours. I understand that each dog and cat has unique needs and personalities, which is why I prioritize maintaining their routine while providing companionship and proper care.
“Evelyn was awesome in taking care of my kitty over Christmas! I got plenty of photos and even some videos, which made it easier to be away from my girl! She was even great about dealing with some throw-ups while we were away and took great care of the house — all the cat’s dishes were clean when we got home! Evelyn was great and made me feel comfortable being away. Will definitely turn to her again in the future! Highly recommend.”

“Barbara is so thorough and from the start I felt that she was worthy of trusting my dog with her care! You can tell that your pet is in good hands with her. Thank you Barb!”

“Jada is excellent. Quick and painless with watching my beloved babies. Toward the end of the visit my VERY standoffish girl that usually stays away from people offered some cuddles which was pretty much a stamp of approval. Attentive, quick, and made sure to come on time to feed my babies. Will be booking again.”

“It was our first time leaving, Daphne, our cat alone for a weekend and we were apprehensive in leaving her with a sitter. Patricia took the time to come to our house and meet Daphne. When it came time to leave for our trip Patricia made sure to send us a whole bunch of pictures of her and Daphne playing and having a good time. Patricia made our first experience using Rover effortless and made us feel comfortable while we enjoyed our weekend. We will be sure to check if Patricia is available next time we book a trip.”
“Michael is amazing! He goes above and beyond and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog with him dropping in a few times a day. I have never left my dog with someone I didn’t know. He sent pictures during all of his visits and even bought my big guy a new toy which has become his favorite! Michael also took my recycling bins out just to be kind. Truly above and beyond. Thank you for giving my family peace of mind knowing our dog was safe and cared for so we could enjoy vacation!”

“Olga did an amazing job with our kitties while we were on vacation! We came back to the litter boxes spotless and two happy and healthy furry friends. There was even a minor logistical issue that came up during her time here that Olga quickly found a solution for on her own and dealt with so we didn't have to worry a bit. I will definitely book Olga next time we're out of town!”

“Jennifer was a great babysitter- always filled me in and took the cutest pictures of my cat and hamster. She was reliable and responsive I am definitely going to hire her again for all my trips!”

“Melissa was great! We needed someone to let our golden retriever out during the day while at work. Melissa showed up exactly when we scheduled her to, and sent lots pictures and videos which showed how happy our dog was to see her. She communicated very well during the visit and made sure she took care of everything we needed. We're definitely already looking to book her again for the next time we need dog care!”

“This was our first time working with Raquel, and it went very well. She stopped by to spend an hour with our two dogs, Tate and Penny, well also feeding them and giving them lots of love. Raquel was very good communicator, was on time, and provided photographs of her time with our dogs. We are really excited that we found Raquel and look forward to having her spend more time with our dogs, Tate and Penny in the future. If anyone’s looking for a five star Pet Sitter on Rover Raquel‘s your gal!”

About: I have taken care of animals of all sorts, particularly dogs, for over 8 years. I pet sit my sister’s’ two Chihuahuas weekly, and have from their younger years to current senior years. I am also a puppy sitter for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and previously a puppy raiser. This includes ensuring that the puppies are well taken care of, socialized, and trained everyday as they learn to navigate this huge new world to them. Through this program I have also learned and utilized positive reinforcement training and attended weekly classes to continue to develop such skills. Recently, I have begun to incorporate the skills used in program to train my sister’s anxious dogs, which is going very well. I cater to the needs of each dog, from listening to how they communicate, what level of attention they desire, to how they learn best. I have also cared for chickens, ducks, and goats at a summer camp, and have taken care of many abandoned or injured wild animals until I could bring them to someplace that had more resources to help them! I just graduated college, and am in a period of life trying to figure out what to do long term. One thing I know for sure is that I have a passion for working with animals, and I am currently able to fit intentional, loving, and patient pet care into my daily routine at any time that pet owners and their pets need! While caring for pets, I put the needs of the animal first, while also respecting any requests made by the pet parent. I move at the pace that is necessary so that the pet feels safe and comfortable with me, guided by a mutual respect. I listen intently to the language of the pet to gauge his/her needs. I maintain any training the pet has learned, while also providing a space that allows the animal’s personality to shine through. I will cuddle with a pup all day or we can do our own things, depending on what is most comfortable for the pet!

About: All of my friend’s pets love me! It’s easy for me to match their energy and help them forget that their favorite people aren’t home, you! I currently work full time but my schedule allows for me to stop by the house twice a day. I start work at 11am in the city, so depending where you live, I usually leave for my commute around 10am. My day ends at 7pm, then I head right to your pets from there. I never leave without playtime, unless they are really shy but I’m persistent. If my schedule works for you I would love to keep your pets company. I have a baseball field down the street from me that your pets can run wild in. During the week there’s no one there in the morning and it’s fenced in. Your cat will have plenty of toys and areas to roam free in my house.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Drexel Hill
I am nervous pet parent with a senior cat with medical needs who believes that I am the only person who can properly care for my kitty. I was wrong! Barbara did an excellent job. She was very caring and attentive to my cat’s special needs and put me completely at ease while I was away. Barbara is the best.

Olga did an amazing job with our kitties while we were on vacation! We came back to the litter boxes spotless and two happy and healthy furry friends. There was even a minor logistical issue that came up during her time here that Olga quickly found a solution for on her own and dealt with so we didn't have to worry a bit. I will definitely book Olga next time we're out of town!

Helena did a great job taking care of our two cats for a week. She came at the agreed-upon time each day, gave them lots of love, pets, and playtime, and sent us pictures that helped us not miss them quite as much; although that’s hard, of course! We felt very comfortable knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!

So grateful to have Kaylee watch our cat once again. We got very detailed updates about her every visit, and she was very content by the time we got home, which was a huge relief. Kaylee takes incredible care of our pets and our home. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Lyra & giving us peace of mind! ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
