Lover of all sizes and attitudes!

Hi, my name is Megan! I'm a huge dog lover, and growing up with dogs has given me the opportunity to work with puppies through senior citizens. We grew up with mostly Schnauzers, with a Cocker Spaniel and English Bulldog thrown in. I also participated in 4-H as a teen, working with sheep, goats, and horses. That involved grooming, feeding, exercising, training, and playing with the animals. I primarily worked with and trained horses, so large sized dogs don't phase me. I've volunteered at animal shelters and appreciate that animals come from all sorts of backgrounds. I'm happiest when around animals and I love their different personalities. I work from home 9-5pm during the week and, depending on location, I can be flexible with what you and your pet(s) need! I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby!

Megan was such an amazing sitter! We left our dog Franklin with her for an entire week and had zero issues. She sent plenty of photos and checked in regularly. We were able to enjoy our vacation with total peace of mind that our dog was safe and snuggled!

Megan was amazing! She took time to make sure she was understanding our needs with our two kitties, was on time and professional, and provided pictures for peace of mind. We even had our two mischievous boys accidentally lock themselves in our bedroom one day, and Megan dropped what she was doing to go over to our house outside of her scheduled time to break them free. Would 10/10 hire again!

Megan was extremely responsive and took time to meet with us prior to boarding. Megan was in communication and sent lots of photos while we were away which helped put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy our vacation. We have a very anxious dog, but Megan calm and caring demeanor allowed our anxious pup to calm down and feel right at home very quickly. This was our first time boarding with a non family member and the experience was great. I would highly recommend Megan and we would definitely request her to care for our pup in the future.

Megan was an awesome sitter for our two cats. She took care of them, played with them, and they quickly warmed up to her.

Schedule

As a pet owner myself, I understand not only the responsibility of taking care of a pet, but the importance of reassuring pet owners that their pet is in good hands. Kennels can be stressful for pets, and nobody wants to be the person constantly asking the same relative or friend to watch their pet. I’d love to be the sitter you count on!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a dog (miniature schnauzer) who is good with low-energy dogs (“low-energy” in that they won’t want to play with her and won’t be jumping on/around her). If your dog is staying with us, they will get at least 3 20-30 min walks a day, and I want them to feel like they’re on vacation too! Couch and bed are fair game, and I’m happy to adjust as necessary for what they are comfortable with. If at a client’s house, I’m happy to stop in, take them for walks, play, feed, clean up as necessary, etc. And regardless of location, there’s always lots of love

Pets

A typical day

If your dog is social, I'd love to take him/her to a dog park. Your dog and I can also explore the city and it's parks, walk the nature trail, play fetch to his/her's content, or if your dog isn't totally into the outdoors I'd be happy keep him/her company and watch Scooby-doo with some homemade dog treats.

Before sitting a dog, I would like to have gotten to know him/her a bit so that they're comfortable with me. Also if the dog has any kind of anxiety issues that will require extra attention (i.e. medication for thunderstorms). Some dogs don't like to be handled certain ways, or they might have allergies--so all of that info is helpful. No breed preferences!
