“Donte was great with Blue. He really helped us out with a last-minute weekend daycare booking, and Blue was very excited to go back. We received photos and videos during his visits and we will definitely look to Donte for future daycare visits.”

“Christopher was amazing as usual! He goes above and beyond and takes my dog for more/longer walks than required, and sends consistent, detailed updates. You can't go wrong with Christopher!”

About: A lover of animals of all sorts, I've rescued and cared for cats of my own for over 40 years. My family had dogs including a Beagle and a Lhasa Poo while I was growing up, and I'm the one who always says, "Can I say hi?!" when I see someone out walking their dog. I volunteered at Main Line Animal Rescue, Providence Animal Rescue, and pet store based cat rescues and have received dog handling and walking training. I am equipped and eager to provide your pets with quality time and care. I have groomed cats, walked the big dogs, and cleaned bunny litter. Clients, friends, and co-workers have been happy with my services and I enjoy connecting my work with one of my passions. If you scroll my photos, I admit I haven't cared for alpacas. But I'd love to learn how! I'd be happy to make your getaways, vacations, or travel for work less stressful for you by caring for your pets and home. I'm happy to give updates throughout visits, including photos or videos, and will send regular reports on food and treats, litter or potty time, and general behavior. My schedule is flexible. Just let me know your needs and I'll do my best to make it work. Book ahead for your summer and fall travel plans! Taking care of your pets in your home is a responsibility and a privilege, allowing your pets to have their safe spaces and comforts while you're away. If house-sitting or dropping in for care or walks, I'll follow your suggestions and directions to deliver the best possible care. I am mature, responsible, and experienced, so you can feel confident in my reliability.
“This was our first time using Rover and everything went smoothly. We would definitely use Leah again. She sent texts with pics throughout the evening. We were happy to see she was able to manage Cal and integrate him into her pack. Thank you, Leah!”

About: Hi, my name is Ray, and I have over 20 years of hands-on experience owning and personally training dogs. Over the years, I’ve trained four dogs from the ground up and regularly provide pet sitting, dog walking, and training services for friends and family—so they can travel with complete peace of mind. I offer pet sitting, dog walking, dog training, and check-in visits for pets while their owners are away. Whether you need reliable care during a trip or help building better behavior at home, I’m here to help. Is your dog in need of basic obedience training? Struggling with behaviors like jumping, barking, or biting? Or simply need someone you can trust to walk and care for your dog while you’re away? I specialize in positive reinforcement training, using rewards and praise to encourage good behavior while gently discouraging unwanted habits. I prioritize your dog’s comfort and safety at all times. I do not crate dogs unless absolutely necessary, and only if I feel it’s required for the pet’s well-being. I also have access to a park directly behind me, providing a great space for daily walks, structured training, and enrichment. Every dog is different, which is why I create customized training plans based on your dog’s needs and your goals as an owner. I believe training is about more than commands—it’s about building a strong bond rooted in trust, respect, and consistency. I also provide personalized guidance so you can confidently continue the training at home. I’m also a proud dog owner myself and currently have an 8-month-old pup, so I fully understand the time, patience, and care it takes to raise a happy, well-balanced dog. If you’re looking for a dependable, passionate, and experienced dog trainer or walker, I’d love to work with you. Reach out today to schedule your first walk, training session, or pet sitting visit. I take care pets by adjusting to their personality and utilizing various toys, treats and training. I usually dont put pets in crates unless Its really needed and I feel the pet is unstable to be left out the cage.

“Madeline was great. Took good care of my pup, he didn't wanna go when i picked him up! She was great at responding to any questions and even sent me some pics of Fenn enjoying himself at her house.”
“I had a wonderful experience with Saya and David while they cared for my miniature dachshund, Astro, for 3 days of daycare. Even before meeting him, they took the time to ask thoughtful questions to make sure they understood his routine, personality, and needs. Throughout his stay, they were incredibly communicative, sending photos and videos that gave me peace of mind and showed just how much fun he was having. It was clear that Astro received plenty of attention, affection, and excellent care (by the second morning, he ran right into their house because he was so excited to see them again)! They were also very flexible and accommodating with drop-off and pick-up times, which made everything convenient around my work schedule. I truly felt that Astro was treated like part of their family. I highly recommend Saya and David to anyone looking for caring and reliable dog sitters, and I will absolutely be booking with them again!”

“Deena was very accommodating and good with my dog. This was my first time using Rover and she made the experience great! She took care of my little guy!!! Thank you”

“Ruby was great! I appreciate her helping me out for three days. I was in need of a sitter for my puppy because I didn’t want him home alone for hours. She was very friendly, great communicator and sweet towards my pup. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Both my dogs had such a great time with Olga!! They both came home and went straight to sleep. She quickly responded to my request (even late at night) and sent me updates through the day so I knew my pups were safe. I highly recommend her for dog daycare/ sitting. Thanks again!”

About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up in Linstead Jamaica, my family owned a small farm, where we tended goats and chickens. We also took care of 2 generations of Rottweilers, so for as long as I can remember, I have had pets. Because of this, I’ve gotten to care for dogs of all ages - from newborn to older, in sickness and health. Since moving to Philly in 2016, my family has rescued a Cat (Rocket) and a Shih Tzu (Betty White). Needless to say, if given the opportunity I will make sure to give not only care for, but love your pet! I am currently home full time. Feel free to reach out - I am available early mornings and nights, and for drop ins or house sittings when needed. I am also open to last minute bookings. I live with a family of 4. We live in a home in a very quiet neighborhood near Cobbs creek - with trails and parks within the vicinity. We currently do not have any of our own pets, but any pets we have cared for had the luxury of enjoying outdoors at almost any hour and to meet and play with other pets at different parks. As for drop ins, I will treat your home with the upmost respect.
About: I’ve been a pet owner/parent since I was a child. I’ve owned Pugs, Frenchies, Rotties, Great Danes and even mixed breeds from puppies to seniors. This has given me the knowledge to understand that all pups are different and may need different attention depending on their stage of life, but rest assured all pups will receive safe, reliable and loving care. At this time caring for your pet is my only job so I’ll have plenty of time to play with and care for your pups! I’m available for boarding with a drop off window between 9:30am and 7:30pm weekdays, with the exception of 5:30-6pm which is typically when I like to feed the pups unless instructed otherwise. I like to allow about an hour and a half of rest after eating for proper digestion before any playtime. Checkout should be no later than 10:00am, or you will be charged the daycare fee for that day and your pet must be picked up by 6pm.. On weekends drop off times are after 2pm but there may be an opportunity for some flexibility that can be discussed if an earlier time is needed. Daycare hours will run 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. “PLEASE NOTE” that all pets must be up to date with shots and flea and tick meds for daycare and boarding. Proof will be required. Your pets safety is very important to me which is why I require dog friendly pets only and no puppies under 5 months. If you are unsure of how your pet will handle boarding I suggest trying a couple days of daycare to get them adjusted. At no time will your pet ever be left alone in the yard or unattended in my home. If something comes up and I need to run an errand, your pet will be crated/pen for safety. I have central air to keep the pets cool and if your pup feels a bit overwhelmed at first while boarding by my resident dogs, I can offer separation if needed.
“Michell was great! He paid attention to concerns I had about my dog’s needs and made me feel confident leaving him. Their house has a great set up for dogs to have what they need on their day away from home. I recommend and will return with our pup. Thanks Michell.”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Darby is $40
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Darby
Buttercups stay with Saya and David was incredible. They were accommodating every step of the way. Buttercup felt right at home. I got multiple updates throughout the day and they were flexible on my ever-changing time schedule. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of buttercup!

My dog Georgia was very calm and well-behaved with Sydney. Sydney was very professional, responsive, friendly, and flexible with our haphazard schedule. We felt safe leaving our 65lb reactive pittie with her. Thank you for taking such good care of Georgia 🩷! We would definitely be interested in using Sydney's daycare services again!

Rachel was amazing with our dog Chuck. Her professionalism and responsiveness was unmatched to any other Rover sitter we’ve tried. During the day Rachel would send updates with videos of our puppy. He came home happy as ever. Anytime we have puppy daycare needs we will be using Rachel.

Chris is a fantastic dog walker and sitter. He was able to do a couple of daycare days for Whimzy when we needed to have work done at the house last minute, which is immensely helpful. Chris is so good with Whimzy, and she loves spending time with him. We're very grateful for Chris!

Thank you so much for looking after Griffin and Bandit for the day! I'm a very nervous dog mom and it's such a relief to know they have someone who they can hang with who will take very good care of them. I appreciate all the updates and pictures throughout the day it made me feel like I wasn't far away from them. ☺️

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Darby commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
