“Donte was great with Blue. He really helped us out with a last-minute weekend daycare booking, and Blue was very excited to go back. We received photos and videos during his visits and we will definitely look to Donte for future daycare visits.”

About: A lover of animals of all sorts, I've rescued and cared for cats of my own for over 40 years. My family had dogs including a Beagle and a Lhasa Poo while I was growing up, and I'm the one who always says, "Can I say hi?!" when I see someone out walking their dog. I volunteered at Main Line Animal Rescue, Providence Animal Rescue, and pet store based cat rescues and have received dog handling and walking training. I am equipped and eager to provide your pets with quality time and care. I have groomed cats, walked the big dogs, and cleaned bunny litter. Clients, friends, and co-workers have been happy with my services and I enjoy connecting my work with one of my passions. If you scroll my photos, I admit I haven't cared for alpacas. But I'd love to learn how! I'd be happy to make your getaways, vacations, or travel for work less stressful for you by caring for your pets and home. I'm happy to give updates throughout visits, including photos or videos, and will send regular reports on food and treats, litter or potty time, and general behavior. My schedule is flexible. Just let me know your needs and I'll do my best to make it work. Book ahead for your summer and fall travel plans! Taking care of your pets in your home is a responsibility and a privilege, allowing your pets to have their safe spaces and comforts while you're away. If house-sitting or dropping in for care or walks, I'll follow your suggestions and directions to deliver the best possible care. I am mature, responsible, and experienced, so you can feel confident in my reliability.
“Michell was great! He paid attention to concerns I had about my dog’s needs and made me feel confident leaving him. Their house has a great set up for dogs to have what they need on their day away from home. I recommend and will return with our pup. Thanks Michell.”

“Chris is a fantastic dog walker and sitter. He was able to do a couple of daycare days for Whimzy when we needed to have work done at the house last minute, which is immensely helpful. Chris is so good with Whimzy, and she loves spending time with him. We're very grateful for Chris!”

“Rachel was fantastic! My daughter and I were touring colleges in the area and needed a place for our dog during the tours. Jiminy was spoiled with cuddles and he definitely had a great time!”

“Leah was great! She was flexible on timing because I got caught in traffic, and she sent me photos while Ziggy stayed with her. She was pretty quick on the handoffs, which was nice because I was traveling and trying to hit the road. Ziggy had a great time!”

“Linda took excellent care of Finn! She places a high emphasis on safety and making sure dogs get along, which made us feel very comfortable leaving Finn in her care. She communicated often and sent pictures and videos. Her dog Pearl is also very sweet and lovely. We would be happy to leave our dog in her care again!”

“Shelby was great. She communicated in advance when we needed to work out our schedule and we could very easily tell that our puppy was getting great care and having a blast! I would definitely recommend her and book her again.”

“Both my dogs had such a great time with Olga!! They both came home and went straight to sleep. She quickly responded to my request (even late at night) and sent me updates through the day so I knew my pups were safe. I highly recommend her for dog daycare/ sitting. Thanks again!”

About: I’ve been a pet owner/parent since I was a child. I’ve owned Pugs, Frenchies, Rotties, Great Danes and even mixed breeds from puppies to seniors. This has given me the knowledge to understand that all pups are different and may need different attention depending on their stage of life, but rest assured all pups will receive safe, reliable and loving care. At this time caring for your pet is my only job so I’ll have plenty of time to play with and care for your pups! I’m available for boarding with a drop off window between 9:30am and 7:30pm weekdays, with the exception of 5:30-6pm which is typically when I like to feed the pups unless instructed otherwise. I like to allow about an hour and a half of rest after eating for proper digestion before any playtime. Checkout should be no later than 10:00am, or you will be charged the daycare fee for that day and your pet must be picked up by 6pm.. On weekends drop off times are after 2pm but there may be an opportunity for some flexibility that can be discussed if an earlier time is needed. Daycare hours will run 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. “PLEASE NOTE” that all pets must be up to date with shots and flea and tick meds for daycare and boarding. Proof will be required. Your pets safety is very important to me which is why I require dog friendly pets only and no puppies under 5 months. If you are unsure of how your pet will handle boarding I suggest trying a couple days of daycare to get them adjusted. At no time will your pet ever be left alone in the yard or unattended in my home. If something comes up and I need to run an errand, your pet will be crated/pen for safety. I have central air to keep the pets cool and if your pup feels a bit overwhelmed at first while boarding by my resident dogs, I can offer separation if needed.
“We had a family funeral to attend, and Cartier gave us one less thing to worry about that day. She was very welcoming and put us at ease immediately. We definitely recommend her to anyone.”

“I had a wonderful experience with Saya and David while they cared for my miniature dachshund, Astro, for 3 days of daycare. Even before meeting him, they took the time to ask thoughtful questions to make sure they understood his routine, personality, and needs. Throughout his stay, they were incredibly communicative, sending photos and videos that gave me peace of mind and showed just how much fun he was having. It was clear that Astro received plenty of attention, affection, and excellent care (by the second morning, he ran right into their house because he was so excited to see them again)! They were also very flexible and accommodating with drop-off and pick-up times, which made everything convenient around my work schedule. I truly felt that Astro was treated like part of their family. I highly recommend Saya and David to anyone looking for caring and reliable dog sitters, and I will absolutely be booking with them again!”

About: I have been a dog owner most of my life and have watched neighbors and my family dogs! Dogs aren’t just pets; they are family!!I may be new to Rover but not new to caring for dogs! 🐾🐾❤️💙 Please note: I do require up to date shot records and rabies certificates. You can always send copy to Rover number or to the inbox here on Rover! I am teacher with the School District of Philadelphia, so my availability are weekends However, I can do more days and nights on my Winter Break, Spring Break any holidays when schools are closed and the months of June thru August. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, because consistency helps them feel safe and comfortable. Before care begins, I take time to learn each pet’s feeding schedule, walking routine, play preferences, and any special needs.

“Madeline has been great with Doi. She kept on updating me with pictures. Doi had a bit of Diarrhea but she took care of him like her own pups. I will definitely be back. Thanks!”

About: I’ve been caring for my own pets (cats and dogs) and those of community members for the past 15 years. I can bond with almost anyone (especially the anxious ones). I enjoy hiking, strolls around the neighborhood, sunbathing in parks, or a cuddle session with my (or the pet’s) favorite Hulu show. Currently my pack is my two cats, 3 year olds Basil and Sage, who I have had since they were 4 months. I’ve cared for puppies too, and just about everywhere in between. I love playing frisbee in clark park and can adapt to your unique training style. I’m working from home so I am flexible with time. My goal is to expand my experience in the hopes I can work with dogs more professionally in the future. Thank you for considering me, and I look forward to meeting you! I’m working full time from home, M-F. I’m the best fit for weekend care, and with advance notice, I can be available on weeknights. My availability is very limited for overnight bookings, so I ask at least one week notice. I have a fully fenced in yard, and 2 very friendly cats. I have several rooms available to separate my babies from yours if needed.

Donte was so good with Moo! I was a little worried she would have separation anxiety because it was her first time away from home since I got her, but she loved it and was returned happy and exhausted! He sent pics and videos throughout the day and even walked her again right before I picked her up. I’ll definitely be trusting her with Donte again!

Buttercups stay with Saya and David was incredible. They were accommodating every step of the way. Buttercup felt right at home. I got multiple updates throughout the day and they were flexible on my ever-changing time schedule. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of buttercup!

Rachel was amazing with our dog Chuck. Her professionalism and responsiveness was unmatched to any other Rover sitter we’ve tried. During the day Rachel would send updates with videos of our puppy. He came home happy as ever. Anytime we have puppy daycare needs we will be using Rachel.

Yesterday Milo spent his first day with Mara—the beginning of a long happy relationship ( hopefully) ! He was so happy and playful in her home. She was so caring and attentive to him. She sent us lots of updates and pictures about his day, his activity, meal/snacks etc! We are grateful and highly recommend! Milo can’t wait to go back!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 2,507 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Upper Darby. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Upper Darby commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,507 sitters in Upper Darby, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
