“Donte was great with Blue. He really helped us out with a last-minute weekend daycare booking, and Blue was very excited to go back. We received photos and videos during his visits and we will definitely look to Donte for future daycare visits.”

“I found Christopher when I was new to rover and didn’t bother to look any further! He has been super accommodating, takes amazing care of my puppy, and has been a pleasure to work with through rover. Highly, highly, highly recommend!”

About: A lover of animals of all sorts, I've rescued and cared for cats of my own for over 40 years. My family had dogs including a Beagle and a Lhasa Poo while I was growing up, and I'm the one who always says, "Can I say hi?!" when I see someone out walking their dog. I volunteered at Main Line Animal Rescue, Providence Animal Rescue, and pet store based cat rescues and have received dog handling and walking training. I am equipped and eager to provide your pets with quality time and care. I have groomed cats, walked the big dogs, and cleaned bunny litter. Clients, friends, and co-workers have been happy with my services and I enjoy connecting my work with one of my passions. If you scroll my photos, I admit I haven't cared for alpacas. But I'd love to learn how! I'd be happy to make your getaways, vacations, or travel for work less stressful for you by caring for your pets and home. I give plenty of updates and photos, with regular reports on food and treats, litter or potty time, and general behavior. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to book well in advance or to jump in for last minte bookings. Just let me know your needs and I'll do my best to make it work. Book ahead for your fall and winter travel plans! Taking care of your pets in your home is a responsibility and a privilege, allowing your pets to have their safe spaces and comforts while you're away. If house-sitting or dropping in for care or walks, I'll follow your suggestions and directions to deliver the best possible care. I am mature, responsible, and experienced, so you can feel confident in my reliability.
“Terrific and caring, they care for our yellow lab. This is our first experience, leaving our dog off with someone and we were delighted that this was the perfect place to be. Our dog came back happy, safe, and is looking forward to more visits.”

“Thank you so much for looking after Griffin and Bandit for the day! I'm a very nervous dog mom and it's such a relief to know they have someone who they can hang with who will take very good care of them. I appreciate all the updates and pictures throughout the day it made me feel like I wasn't far away from them. ☺️”

“Nicole saved us when my sitter cancelled last minute. Meeko and Eevee were totally comfortable with her and she sent pictures as they settled in and on their walk. They had a great time. We would definitely pick her next time we are local!”

“Ruby was great! I appreciate her helping me out for three days. I was in need of a sitter for my puppy because I didn’t want him home alone for hours. She was very friendly, great communicator and sweet towards my pup. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Tim came highly recommended, and now I know why! He was so understanding and patient as I navigated having him care for my senior dog, and he was clearly attentive to her. I will be back!”

“Deena was very accommodating and good with my dog. This was my first time using Rover and she made the experience great! She took care of my little guy!!! Thank you”

“Samantha was awesome and kept communication with me constantly which made me feel more at ease. I definitely plan on rebooking with Samantha in the future.”

“Roxie feels right at home at Tony’s. He takes great care of my senior pup and sends multiple updates, photos and videos throughout the day. Roxie loves grass and enjoys his yard when she’s there and feels comfortable enough to take naps and socialize with the Tony’s small dogs in the house. She just spent 5 days there and we have two more already booked. I am so happy to have found Tony and Stephanie! Thanks again!”
“Diana did a great job with my dog Tigger. Very communicative and helpful with scheduling pick up and drop off. Tigger can get anxious but Diana did a good job making sure he was comfortable and happy.”

“Madeline was amazing and her house is so cute and dog friendly. She was very communicative while our pup was staying with her. Absolutely plan on having her sit Barkley again!”

About: I’ve grown up around pets my whole life; my parents always indulged my love for animals. I’ve raised birds, reptiles, fish, cats, dogs and rodents. Recently I’ve taken my hobby for training dogs more seriously and have been studying to become a professional dog trainer to fulfill a need within my community. I’m a freelance game developer so whenever I’m not in creating, I’m practicing dog training or playing video games with my friends. Most of my free time is spent hitting the gym, going for hikes with my spouse and dog or walking around the city. I have a fenced yard and crate train the dogs in my household. My cat free roams but does not have access to the basement where the entertainment center and dog crates are located. Our dogs follow a strict schedule but I can always adjust to whatever schedule your pet is used to!
“My dog was really happy and tired after spending a day with Glenda and Trufa. Will definitely be bringing my dog to Glenda for future bookings.”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Colwyn is $40

donte took great care of little draco, very responsive and great attention to detail like food allergies, making sure he had his cone on, and allowing him time to be out of the cage while other dogs were put away so he didn’t get too rough on his post-op back paw. will book again when we are back in the area

Buttercups stay with Saya and David was incredible. They were accommodating every step of the way. Buttercup felt right at home. I got multiple updates throughout the day and they were flexible on my ever-changing time schedule. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of buttercup!

My dog Georgia was very calm and well-behaved with Sydney. Sydney was very professional, responsive, friendly, and flexible with our haphazard schedule. We felt safe leaving our 65lb reactive pittie with her. Thank you for taking such good care of Georgia 🩷! We would definitely be interested in using Sydney's daycare services again!

Chris is a fantastic dog walker and sitter. He was able to do a couple of daycare days for Whimzy when we needed to have work done at the house last minute, which is immensely helpful. Chris is so good with Whimzy, and she loves spending time with him. We're very grateful for Chris!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Colwyn commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,443 sitters in Colwyn, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
