About: Caring for pets is my passion. I'm a veterinary assistant with experience in general practice, emergency/critical care, and medical oncology. I have also volunteered as a puppy sitter for Guide Dogs for the Blind, an organization dedicated to helping the visually impaired community. This was my first time using Rover. I usually take my cat to the vet for boarding. My cat is 14 years old and very shy so I thought I would try to leave her at home this time. I picked Julia because we live in the same town. Julia was wonderful. We had our meet and greet and she agreed to take care of my cat. She sent me pictures and updates of how things were going. Julia had to seek out my cat because she usually hides when visitors come over. By the end of the stay, my cat was brave enough to go to Julia! I was thankful for the pictures and updates. Justin’s daily reports and pictures erased the 5,000 miles (6 hours) distance from our cat.
