About: I genuinely love all animals. I volunteered at the PSPCA for 3 years. I will treat your fur baby as if they were my own! I do currently work full time so I am mainly available all day on Saturday & Sundays and Monday through Friday after 4:30pm only. If this works for you, reach out! I currently do not offer boarding services. But I will create a safe environment for your fur baby regardless where we are. Safety and building trust is essential to me.
“Anthony is amazing, the care and love he showed for Persi was amazing. All the camera shots were fantastic to get every time he visited. Even brought in our packages! 10 out of 10!”

About: Caring for pets is my passion. I'm a veterinary assistant with experience in general practice, emergency/critical care, and medical oncology. I have also volunteered as a puppy sitter for Guide Dogs for the Blind, an organization dedicated to helping the visually impaired community. Growing up, I always helped family, friends, and neighbors care for their pets, and I began my professional career in veterinary medicine at 19 years old. My beloved dog Dovey crossed the rainbow bridge recently. I would love to offer pet sitting/dog walking services to help you, and to help heal my heart. I am currently available for pet sitting service in your home, and dog walking service. I am currently looking for full time employment. Availability is subject to change when I begin working full time. My priority is making your pet feel safe and comfortable. I am well versed in animal behavior and reading their body language. I always approach pets in a calm, gentle manner.

“Kendra is a pro! We needed help at the last minute to walk our dog; Kendra responded quickly and showed up to care for a new client like she's known him for years. So thankful and appreciative of her services. Highly recommend!!”

“Greg did a great job with Jack! He stopped by before his bookings for 2 meet and greets to make sure Jack was comfortable. He went above and beyond with the walks, hangouts and training. We’re excited to book Greg again and we know Jack is too.”

“Brijana was a wonderful cat sitter! She came for a meet and greet and our cats took to her immediately. Brijanan was kind, responsible, and an excellent communicator. We will definitely book with her again!”

About: I've grown up with both dogs and cats and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. While I've mostly worked with medium to large sized dogs, small dogs and cats are great as well and I have experience playing, walking, feeding, and bathing animals in all walks of life. I work part-time while playing softball over the span of the summer, but I have plenty of time during the week to care for your pets. I love all animals and will treat yours with as much respect as I do my own, while also being sure to cater to your specific pet's needs.
“Justin did a great job taking care of my four little dogs, making sure they were safe and well cared for. He kept me updated throughout, which I really appreciated. I’d trust him with my pets again.”

“So so thankful for Gabrielle - she does amazing with my moody indoor baby and is kind to care for my others. Great communication :) Thank you so so much and Happy Holidays!”

“Kiirsten D. was an absolutely amazing dog sitter! She went above and beyond in caring for my puppy, showing incredible patience and attentiveness. My pup had several accidents in the house, and Kiirsten handled each one without hesitation, keeping everything clean and comfortable. It’s clear she truly cares about the pets she watches, treating them with kindness and love. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and responsible pet sitter!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Merchantville
Brijana took great care of our cat. She made us feel very comfortable leaving her in her care and our cat instantly ran to her upon our initial consult. Brijana asked many questions during our consult, took notes, and made sure everything was in order before our trip. She was reliable, conscientious, and great to work with, even sending adorable photos during her visits. We will definitely be hiring her again and recommend her highly!

Kelsey was amazing with my cat! We just moved to our new house before a week away, so I was feeling a little worried about Bitsy's being without us. But Kelsey's visits clearly made my kitty happy. The daily photos, videos and other home updates were fantastic. Thank you so much, Kelsey!! Highly recommend!

Amy was amazing! This was the first time ever trying rover and we went with Amy. She was truly amazing from the very first second we met her. Leaving your pets alone for the very first time is scary let alone having a stranger in your house while you are away. Amy was amazing and we felt completely safe with her. She took good care of our kitties and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again for future vacations. Thank you so much Amy! 💜

So grateful for having found Tara - reliable, responsible, gives good visit reports, and has incredible patience trying to catch a quick photo of our shy and elusive calico! Tara has taken care of our cat a few times when we’ve been away and we trust her as our go-to. Highly recommend. Thank you Tara!

Gokhan and Sue are fantastic! They are so communicative, caring, and thoughtful. They really get to know your cats, and genuinely care about them, playing in ways that will engage your cat and respecting their boundaries. They have great attention to detail, and provide excellent photos throughout the session. You know you can trust them to take great care of your babies! Thank you so much!

Justin’s daily reports and pictures erased the 5,000 miles (6 hours) distance from our cat. Knowing that such a caring individual was present for our senior cat made our family visit that much more enjoyable. In addition, daily mail and plant watering were attended to as well. We intend to recommend Justin and the Rover service to friends and neighbors. Thanks!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Merchantville. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
