About: I have taken care of many dogs and cats over the past 6-8 years. Most have been friend’s and family’s and now I would like to extend my support to others who may need help. I would love walking your dog, letting them out for a quick run around the yard or a potty break. Feeding or checking in on your dogs and cats while you’re away or at work is also something I would love to help with. Let me know how I can help you take care of your fur baby when you can’t. I’m a teacher and have summers off to devote time during the week caring for your furry babies. I can come in the mornings and afternoons to help with walking, feeding, and letting out for exercise and potty breaks. I am a passionate animal lover who enjoys caring for both cats and dogs. I provide reliable and attentive pet care services, including feeding, walking, playtime, and general companionship. I understand that pets are family members, and I am committed to ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs a daily walk, regular feeding, or extra attention and affection, I offer dependable care tailored to their individual needs.

Brielle gave us daily updates that made us feel confident and comfortable that Roxy was well cared for while we were away! Roxy who is shy at first warmed up to Brielle quickly again making us feel good. We would recommend Brielle and will book again in the future!”

My pup ate a dead flower petal while under her care and she was quick to swipe it from him and follow through with my Listed vet and her own to ensure no toxicity. The texted me immediately too. “Anthony is amazing, the care and love he showed for Persi was amazing. All the camera shots were fantastic to get every time he visited. Even brought in our packages! 10 out of 10!”

About: Hi, I’m Margot! I’ve been pet-sitting for neighbors, friends, and family since I was 9 years old. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages, including pets who need medication and extra care. I am dependable, flexible, and truly love animals. Taking care of pets has always been something I enjoy, and I’m always happy to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Since I work from home as an artist, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I love being able to spend time with animals throughout the week, whether that’s stopping by for visits, walks, feeding, or just keeping pets company. I also have a cat of my own who I love very much, so animal care has always been a natural part of my life. I always try to make pets feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. I follow their normal routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care instructions. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you are away.

About: I've grown up with both dogs and cats and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. While I've mostly worked with medium to large sized dogs, small dogs and cats are great as well and I have experience playing, walking, feeding, and bathing animals in all walks of life. I work part-time while playing softball over the span of the summer, but I have plenty of time during the week to care for your pets. I love all animals and will treat yours with as much respect as I do my own, while also being sure to cater to your specific pet's needs.
About: I’ve always had dogs of all ages and breeds in the family. It is fulfilling giving dogs their best life possible. I understand a few walks can mean so much to your dog’s week and I promise to treat them as if they were a member of my family! I have a full time job that allows me to have mornings and early afternoons off. I would be willing to work abnormal hours and consider myself to have a very flexible schedule. I have a mini golden doodle and am constantly aware of the potential dangers to her. While caring for your dog I will keep an eye out for other potential dangers that could harm them.

Kelsey was amazing with my cat! We just moved to our new house before a week away, so I was feeling a little worried about Bitsy's being without us. But Kelsey's visits clearly made my kitty happy. The daily photos, videos and other home updates were fantastic. Thank you so much, Kelsey!! Highly recommend!

We booked Brielle to do daily check ins on our cat, Roxy, while away on our wedding and honeymoon. Working with Brielle was easy and stress free. Brielle gave us daily updates that made us feel confident and comfortable that Roxy was well cared for while we were away! So grateful for having found Tara - reliable, responsible, gives good visit reports, and has incredible patience trying to catch a quick photo of our shy and elusive calico! Tara has taken care of our cat a few times when we’ve been away and we trust her as our go-to. Highly recommend. Thank you Tara!

Greg was really great with our three cats! He took care to make sure everyone was ok during his daily drop ins, and was very thorough with all of the feeding and care tasks we had for him to do. Our cats loved him, he has a good way of relating to animals of all different personalities. Would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody for daily cat care.

Our cat had never been alone for extended time before. Mary was very kind, spending time with him to play and make sure that he was comfortable with her. She was reliable and tool of his needs and kept us updating with Oreo's well being, which made us feel at ease while away.

Courtney is the best!!! She went above and beyond to take excellent care of my 3 kitties and also to ease my anxiety about leaving my babies for 2 weeks. She was a great communicator and left detailed notes and photos every day she visited. She spent extra time with them nearly every day, which was great because the shy cats loved her and the attention she gave them! They opened up to her immediately which was really amazing. She even vacuumed and brought my mail in. 1000/10 recommend.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Audubon. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
