About: I have spent all of my life around animals, and have absolutely loved spending time with them since I was young. As a kid I volunteered at my local shelter, playing with the residents and doing what I could to help take care of them and keep them happy. I personally grew up with both cats and dogs. I was the family member responsible for training and teaching our dogs new commands. I would be more than happy to go on long walks or spend time playing with and keeping your pets company. I am currently a school teacher on break, so I have plenty of time to love on your fur baby! I am currently openly available, until the school year begins in September. Until then, I am generally available during the week from 8 am to 10 pm. I am more than happy to feed, walk, play with, and love your animals in your home. I have experience with administering insulin to cats as well.

“Stephen and his family are the absolute best! My dogs were obviously comfortable and excited to see them daily. I received photos and updates every day, and am so happy to have trusted sitters. I would highly recommend them!”

“Mary was nothing short of amazing! She took great care of our babies and gave us a sound of mind. She was very punctual, detailed and the babies loved her! Will definitely be booking with her again, thank you Mary!”

“Amanda is the best dog-walker around and our dog Lucky is always so excited to see her. So thankful that she allows us to have worry-free weekends away from home and we can trust that Lucky is well-taken care of!!”

“Greg did a great job with Jack! He stopped by before his bookings for 2 meet and greets to make sure Jack was comfortable. He went above and beyond with the walks, hangouts and training. We’re excited to book Greg again and we know Jack is too.”

“Megan was great with Henry! She was prompt, provided great communication throughout, and Henry loved spending time with her. We will definitely continue to work with her!”

“Alexis was an excellent sitter for drop-in visits for my two dogs. I was scrambling to find someone last minute and Alexis was so responsive and helped immensely when I had to leave out of town. She gave us thorough updates with pictures. If I ever need to rebook, I will definitely go to her first. I would highly recommend booking with her if you're searching for someone reliable, personable, and trustworthy.”

“I can’t recommend Brielle enough! My dog is typically very nervous around new people, but Brielle did an amazing job making her feel comfortable. Not only did she take the time to get her out for a walk, feed her dinner and squeeze in extra play time, but she went above and beyond in caring for her. Brielle didn’t just come in, let her outside, and leave—she ensured that my dog was happy and at ease. I’m so grateful for the peace of mind she provided. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Carly was fantastic and was super communicative from the start as it was our first time using Rover. She provided great updates and always responded quickly to any questions we had. It’s always tough having someone new come in and take care of your dog, but Carly was amazing and dasher loved her right away. We can’t wait to use Carly again in the future.”

About: On a personal level, I have cared for and been family with dogs my entire life. As I got older, I found my current dog who has transformed my love and respect for dogs into something indescribable. After rescuing her at 3 months old, I have trained and raised her into a beautiful and fully-realized working-line dog. I have experience in advanced training of dogs that ranges from day-to-day obedience to scent imprinting and mind puzzles for high-drive/working breeds that require the mental stimulation. Regardless of your dog's personal needs, I will ensure that those needs are met and addressed in a fulfilling and rewarding way that will leave them feeling loved and satisfied. Depending on the week, you can expect to see me available up to five times in a week! I will do weekends and holidays without question. Every pet has their own specific and individualized needs. This knowledge will help me determine what is needed for your pet, such as longer/fast-paced walks to exercise a high-drive breed or a leisurely stroll for the beloved seniors. Drop-Ins will entail evaluating your pet's needs and addressing them accurately and satisfactorily.

“Highly recommend hiring Julia for your rover needs! Julia was great communicating throughout her visits and sent plenty of photos of the pets. We ran into a snag during our vacation involving a cancelled flight and Julia went above and beyond to make sure our guys were cared for. Will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”

Nicole was amazing! Very quick and polite communication. Took great daily photos and followed up with everything! She even handled some things that were outside of my initial request, to make sure we returned to a good situation. Would definitely recommend her, and will be using her again myself!

Abby was absolutely wonderful! I was in a pinch and needed someone to come over and check on my dog the same day. I blindly reached out to her, she responded quickly and was able to make it happen! We then had her come check on our dog the following 2 days as well. She let me know when she was on her way and gave me thorough updates throughout. I’ll absolutely be using her again and if highly recommend her!

Jillian was AMAZING! She made sure to provide pictures and videos through each day. She is very responsive and open. You can tell she truly loves her job and enjoys creating real relationships with your pets. Any time I have to go away I will absolutely be contacting Jillian again. Thank you !

We hired Brynn to come into our home to feed and walk our older dog when we went away overnight. She did an excellent job and sent us texts and photos each time. Our pup was in good spirits when we returned. I would definitely have her come again and recommend her highly.
Kelsey was amazing with my cat! We just moved to our new house before a week away, so I was feeling a little worried about Bitsy's being without us. But Kelsey's visits clearly made my kitty happy. The daily photos, videos and other home updates were fantastic. Thank you so much, Kelsey!! Highly recommend!

We booked Brielle to do daily check ins on our cat, Roxy, while away on our wedding and honeymoon. Working with Brielle was easy and stress free. Brielle gave us daily updates that made us feel confident and comfortable that Roxy was well cared for while we were away! Roxy who is shy at first warmed up to Brielle quickly again making us feel good. We would recommend Brielle and will book again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
