Safety, trust & environment
My priority is making your pet feel safe and comfortable. I am well versed in animal behavior and reading their body language. I always approach pets in a calm, gentle manner.
Information Kathryn S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any fears or anxiety triggers (loud noises such as fireworks or thunderstorms). On a walk, is your pet triggered by other dogs or small animals such as rabbits, squirrels, or birds? Please provide your pet's feeding schedule and inform me of any dietary restrictions. If your pet is taking any medications, please provide the medication name and dosing information/instructions.
A typical day
My goal is to cater my services to your pet's preferences and routine, whether that means playing in the house or in the yard, walking in the neighborhood/in a local park, and playing with toys. Cuddles are always on the agenda! I consider myself as an active person, so I am always down for an adventure.

Experienced Pet Sitter/Dog Walker
Pet care experience
Caring for pets is my passion. I'm a veterinary assistant with experience in general practice, emergency/critical care, and medical oncology. I have also volunteered as a puppy sitter for Guide Dogs for the Blind, an organization dedicated to helping the visually impaired community. Growing up, I always helped family, friends, and neighbors care for their pets, and I began my professional career in veterinary medicine at 19 years old. My beloved dog Dovey crossed the rainbow bridge recently. I would love to offer pet sitting/dog walking services to help you, and to help heal my heart.
Reviews
Kathryn is one of the most responsible, compassionate, and trustworthy people I know when it comes to caring for animals. As a certified Veterinary Technician with extensive experience in veterinary medicine — including specialized oncology care — she brings not only professional expertise, but also genuine love and empathy to every animal she works with. What truly sets Kathryn apart is the way she combines medical knowledge with kindness and patience. She understands animal behavior, health concerns, emergency situations, and the emotional needs of both pets and their owners. Whether caring for a healthy pet, a senior animal, or one requiring special medical attention, Kathryn approaches every situation with calm professionalism and heartfelt compassion. Beyond her professional qualifications, Kathryn is also a devoted and wonderful dog mom herself. The love, attention, and care she gives her own dogs speaks volumes about her character and dedication to animal wellbeing. Any pet placed in Kathryn’s care would be safe, loved, and exceptionally well cared for. I would recommend Kathryn without hesitation to anyone seeking a reliable, knowledgeable, and deeply caring pet caregiver.
Kathryn has cared for both my anxious, medically complex dogs with kindness and empathy. My blind old dog was notoriously terrified of strangers, but Kathryn’s slow, patient approach and meeting him where he was at made her an instant friend! I’m lucky to have someone I can trust with both their medical issues and their anxious quirks.
