“It was our first time getting a sitter for our cat. Patricia was wonderful, I can’t recommend her enough. She sent each day plenty of pictures with Yani. I could tell my cat loved her. Thank you Patricia very much for your help and care!”

“We had a great experience with our dog sitter while we were away. He took excellent care of Julie and Romeo, made sure they were fed, let outside regularly, and kept us updated throughout the stay with pictures and messages, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It was clear both dogs were comfortable and well cared for. We really appreciated the communication, reliability, and attention he gave them. I would definitely trust him to watch Julie and Romeo again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for dependable pet care.”

“Lauren was so wonderful to our kitties. They quickly warmed right up to here. She was easy to get in contact with leading up to, and throughout our time away, and she shared tons of pictures+videos. We’ll certainly book her again.”

“Deanna has be a huge help providing drop-in visits. She first scheduled a day beforehand to get acquainted with my puppy, and we discussed what she needed to do. She shows up on time every day, and has done a wonderful job.”

“Greg did a great job with Jack! He stopped by before his bookings for 2 meet and greets to make sure Jack was comfortable. He went above and beyond with the walks, hangouts and training. We’re excited to book Greg again and we know Jack is too.”

“She’ll was GREAT. Extremely thorough. My pup ate a dead flower petal while under her care and she was quick to swipe it from him and follow through with my Listed vet and her own to ensure no toxicity. The texted me immediately too. He was all good! She took great pics and detailed report cards. She was flexible with coordinating as well. Would def recommend her to anyone.”

“We highly recommend Ellen for all your animal care needs! She was so responsive from the start - and did an excellent job looking after our older dog Ella while we were out of town. We absolutely hope to work with her again in the future if she is available!”

“Highly recommend booking with him! Excellent clear communication and very attentive to my dog. Booked with him 1 time previously and the results were consistent this time around which I admire. Book Gavin!”

“My dog didn't react well to Antonia unfortunately. I don't think this had anything to do with her. My puppy seems to be hit or miss with people and this just wasn't a good match. Antonia was happy to sit with us and try to give him some time to warm up. Even though it didn't work out for us, she seemed very nice. The effort she put in, even with my puppy growling at her, shows how much she is a pet lover and I'd definitely recommend her to others.”

About: I've taken care of our family dogs for my entire life, and into adult life have had roommates with both cats and dogs who have become family. I love animals and they love me because I am friendly, gentle, and approachable. I can adjust my work schedule to fit in daily pet care as needed, and am available for boarding over night any weekday or weekend I am not out of town myself! I do not have a yard but many parks nearby, and no pets of my own so your pet will get all the love and attention! Pets are treated like family so are welcome to cuddle on the couch if they wish!
“Jo is an amazing animal lover. Such a gift for pet owners that need support. She was very communicative and sent me pics which really cheered me up while I was in the hospital. I would highly recommend Jo for any if your pet support needs. I could not be happier with the care my 4 dogs received. Until the next time Jo, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“I’m very pleased with AnnaMaria’s catsitting: Snapdragon was well looked after, and she does a great job with administering medications and sending updates.”

“This is our second time booking with Julia, and once again it was such a smooth process. We fully trust that our cats are well taken care of while we’re away. Highly recommend!”

“Julie was great. Cricket usually hides from visitors but she was happy to interact, play and be petted by Julie. She took good care of everything Cricket needed and we felt she was in great hands. We will definitely book her in the future.”

“Emilie went above and beyond to care for my pup! She was attentive and responsive. I would definitely recommend using Emilie’s services. I know that I will certainly be booking with her again!”

“We booked Brielle to do daily check ins on our cat, Roxy, while away on our wedding and honeymoon. Working with Brielle was easy and stress free. Brielle gave us daily updates that made us feel confident and comfortable that Roxy was well cared for while we were away! Roxy who is shy at first warmed up to Brielle quickly again making us feel good. We would recommend Brielle and will book again in the future!”

“We are so lucky to have found Amy! We're new to the area and Rover helped us find the perfect fit for our furry family. Amy is kind and easy to talk to and we were able to enjoy our time away knowing that she was caring for our crew with love.”

“Alexis was a great sitter for our cat Atlas and our betta fish Simon, excellent communications throughout, provided great status pics, and was overall someone whom I would trust with all our pets. She will be on our regular sitter rotation going forward!”

“Denille is the best and a blessing to work with. She took care of Hooch like he was her own. She even recognized he was sick and worked with me and my vet to get him care and saving his life after he got into some left overs and ate onions. Will be hiring again as she is trustworthy and loving!”

Every time we go away, we trust Gabrielle implicitly with our three kitties and she delivers! She even goes above and beyond and offered to take my boy Larry to the vet when he was having an autoimmune flare-up. We will be requesting her as long as she is available!

Alexis was amazing with my cat! 💗 I was really nervous about leaving my cat with a new person, but Alexis completely put my mind at ease. She was so kind, attentive, and communicative. She sent me so many pictures and videos of Taco looking happy and cared for. I’m so grateful she took such great care of my kitty and I would absolutely book her again! Thank you Alexis!

Samantha was so wonderful! We booked last minute because our cat got sick right before our vacation. She was flexible, open, and reliable. She eased a lot of our worries and was able to administer his eye ointment for us. And he looked better when we got home! Thank you!🙏🏼 She is communicative and dependable, and we will definitely book again in the future. She even watered our plants!🌱 Can’t recommend enough! 💗✨

Berna always takes excellent care of my cat and sends several photos throughout the visit, which gives me peace of mind knowing he’s happy and well cared for. She is reliable, efficient, and has no trouble navigating my building, so I never have to worry about anything while I’m away. Having her care for my cat makes traveling so much more relaxing because I know both my home and my cat are in good hands.

Amazing! I have two very high-demand dogs—one senior dog with all the extra needs that come with age, and an adolescent with tons of energy and a serious love of mischief. Lee does an incredible job with both of them. They’re great at communicating with me about anything that comes up and are wonderful at handling all the “extras” that come with a senior dog and a young dog who is still learning. I feel completely confident knowing they’re in Lee’s care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
