About: Currently, I'm a teacher who finds joy in getting to pet sit! Working with high school students is great, but I'm more excited to get to take care of your dog!! (Shh! Don't tell my students I said that...) Anyone who knows me, knows I'm the type to wave and say hi to every dog I pass on the street and every cat I see in a window! :-) I'm experienced with both cat and dog care, comfortable with various breeds, personalities, and ages. Throughout high school and college, I often volunteered to watch friends' and families' dogs/cats when they went away on vacation. Additionally, I've been pet sitting for neighbors ever since I started my teaching career a few years ago. I've always loved getting to step in and keep the pets cared for and entertained, while their owner was somewhere else. Overall, I can provide dependable and enthusiastic pet sitting, ensuring your beloved pets are happy and safe while you're away. I am available to provide your pet with love and attention, whether that be check ins, maintenance/feeding, and/or walks and exercise. I have weekday and weekend availability. With my teaching schedule, I am available for early morning, as well as early afternoon - late evening during the week. My weekends are very flexible. I am happy to work with your specific schedule and unique needs! Also, I often have break periods or holiday days off from school, which gives me additional availability, especially during peak times when you may have travel plans. School year availability Monday-Friday: before 7:30am and after 2:30pm. If I were to I visit your home to care for your pet or take them on walks, I would make sure to follow all instructions carefully, in order to keep a safe, comfortable environment and maintain your pet’s routine. I aim to stay attentive to your pet’s needs, keeping them secure during walks, offering attention and love to keep them happy, and communicating clearly with you throughout. Pets are our best friends, so I will treat your pet as such!

About: been caring for dogs since I was around 9, so taking care of pets has always been a big part of my life! I had my own German Shepherd girl who I loved and cared for throughout her life, and I currently have three cats and my own dog. I also regularly help take care of my best friends Snorkie mix and my aunt’s Husky. I genuinely love getting to know every pet’s personality, whether they’re super playful, a total couch potato, or need a little extra patience. I’m responsible, attentive, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I love to walk pets and have been since I was younger. As someone with too much energy for my own good, it helps me burn some in a way that keeps me just as happy. Im a freshman in college, but I frequent the city area daily. I’m fully available on the weekends and available after three on Mon, Wed, and Fri, and Tues,Thurs after 5! Every day i’m available early morning til 8:30! Enjoy your weekends and days out with a sitter like me. I’m patient when it comes to animals as they are not human and are more prone to any unexpected behavior and reaction. I’ve saved a couple dogs that others would call violent, but just needed a different angle of care that I was able to provide. I am physically fit and able to defend your pet as well as myself in case of any unfortunate event.
“We highly recommend Ellen for all your animal care needs! She was so responsive from the start - and did an excellent job looking after our older dog Ella while we were out of town. We absolutely hope to work with her again in the future if she is available!”

“Sydney was fantastic! My 7-year old dog has trust issues with strangers and Sydney respected his boundaries & he quickly warmed up to her! She took great care of him and our kitty, especially with administering my cat’s medications. Sydney was always punctual, kind and closely followed our pet’s care instructions. We are so grateful to Sydney & highly recommend her services! We hope to work with Syndney again in the future 😀”

“Lex has been such a god send! So responsive and flexible to our needs. We are so thankful that our furry friend has someone like Lex to check in on her while we’re gone.”

“Jo is an amazing animal lover. Such a gift for pet owners that need support. She was very communicative and sent me pics which really cheered me up while I was in the hospital. I would highly recommend Jo for any if your pet support needs. I could not be happier with the care my 4 dogs received. Until the next time Jo, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have a genuine care and passion for providing animals a stimulating play-date or even just a short walk. I’m the go-to family member or friend to watch animals when their families leave for trips, or even just to play with them while their families are off at work. I have experience with dogs from puppy-elder! I’m a DPT student and a dedicated, responsible pet lover who enjoys spending time with animals. My graduate program has taught me to be organized, dependable, and attentive. These are the qualities I bring to every pet I care for. I’d love to meet your furry best friend! I’m currently a graduate student enrolled in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. While I have a busy but flexible schedule, I understand how important it is for me to be a dependable caretaker for your pet. I will always communicate my schedule/availability clearly and ensure that your pets receive the best care while you’re away. I will ensure that your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment and that I do not disrupt their normal routine. I have an attention to detail and will make sure that I follow all instructions given. While being in your home, I will treat it with the same respect and care that I would want someone else to have in my own home. You will receive regular updates from me as I’m in your home to ease any concerns you may have while I care for your furry friend!
“We had a great experience with our dog sitter while we were away. He took excellent care of Julie and Romeo, made sure they were fed, let outside regularly, and kept us updated throughout the stay with pictures and messages, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It was clear both dogs were comfortable and well cared for. We really appreciated the communication, reliability, and attention he gave them. I would definitely trust him to watch Julie and Romeo again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for dependable pet care.”

About: I have had a dogs my whole life, and they are what brings me the most joy in life. My last dog Henry passed away almost 2 years ago and since then I have been fostering, which is super rewarding. I have also been volunteering with PAWS for 5 years, and am there every Friday morning to help care for the pups. I have had experience with all kinds of dogs from 80lb Pitties to teeny tiny Chihuahuas, from strays who are terrified when they arrive at the shelter to ones that have boundless energy and love on everyone. My camera roll in my phone is pretty much consumed with pictures of my shelter pups, who I feel so honored to be able to be part of their journey to finding their forever homes. It would be a privilege to add your fur baby to the long list of dogs that I have had the pleasure of having in my life :) I am a real estate agent, so I make my own schedule, and can easily fit caring for your pup around my showings and office time. I will be more than happy to travel to your home and spend some time with your pup. I can walk them, have yard time with them, play fetch or tug of war, feed them, pet them, and just generally spend some time with them while they wait for their humans to come home. If you have extra things that need to get done such as brushing, nail clipping, medicine to give etc, I can take care of that as well. Basically whatever you need done to make your pet feel comfortable and safe, I can handle. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of your pup's routine.
“Angela is a real life cat whisperer! I have two cats, one of whom tends to be skittish and easily stressed. I told her that he may not even come out during her week long sit, and instead I got photos and videos all week long of him snuggling with Angela and his brother, and even playing. Angela is reliable, and sends detailed updates/follows all care instructions. I will absolutely be rebooking with her next time I need to go out of town, and I highly recommend her to any pet parent.”

“Peter is an excellent sitter! He take amazing care of my dogs with special needs (medication and reactivity) and they love when he comes over. Peter is responsible, communicative, and genuine in his love for animals.”

“Nicole was amazing! Very quick and polite communication. Took great daily photos and followed up with everything! She even handled some things that were outside of my initial request, to make sure we returned to a good situation. Would definitely recommend her, and will be using her again myself!”

“Pat was wonderful with Oliver! It’s our first time using Rover, and we were very impressed with the amount of time and attention that Pat gave to Oliver over the week.”
“Kaydee took extra good care of my very senior boy who was in a splint/cast and required some additional gear and handling before going out. She left my place spotless, had great communication, and very easy to work with. Highly recommend!”

“I’m very pleased with AnnaMaria’s catsitting: Snapdragon was well looked after, and she does a great job with administering medications and sending updates.”

“Dee Dee was great! She helped out last minute while I was away on vacation after another dog sitter I had hired canceled. She even sent pictures! Would definitely ask her to let Theo out again :)”

About: I’ve always grown up around cats and dogs; mostly tortoise shell cats, a few adopted strays, and a husky respectively. Most recently I’ve taken care of pit bulls, a malinois, two sibling Jack Russel’s, westies, and an elderly doberman and corgi; to name a few. I always try to keep a calm demeanor, even with high energy dogs. I’ve learned this is paramount when faced with a dog or cat that might have some trust issues or is just generally nervous. Under no circumstance have I been forceful or aggressive, leaning more towards listening and learning from what the dog’s behavior/body language is trying to convey. I’m available for house-sitting on weekends and most weekdays. I am available for daily walks each day of the week before 5:30pm and after 7pm I try my best to be attentive and to honor outside time, even if it seems evident they are getting a bit bored or restless.
“Hope dropped in on my two cats while I was away for a week and she was wonderful to work with! She did great with Milo and Bug and was communicative throughout the week.”

Can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! 🐾💕 I have a very flexible work schedule! That gives me plenty of time to play with your pet and take them on walks. Kristen is awesome!! She took care of my cats during the long weekend and went above & beyond. She kept in touch and sent plenty of pictures of my girls! I have one cat in particular that’s veryyy shy with new people and she warmed up pretty quickly to Kristen!

Ellie was so sweet and reliable! She was very communicative and made us feel comfortable leaving our two kitties with her. She gave us pictures and updates, and was able to give our one cat his eye medication. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands!

I've worked with several sitters through this site/app and Ben has, hands down, been the best. I have 2 cats and was out of the country for 10 days. When I came back from my vacation, all tired and jet lagged, waiting to rearrange things, as I had always done up to this point, since the sitters, although generally good, had not been super careful and diligent, I was pleasantly surprised to see that everything was the way I had left it and I had to do minimal rearranging, which meant a lot to me. Also, during my vacation, Ben answered every obsessive question I had, assuaged every worry, sent me photos of my babies, and was, overall, very professional, and, also, very pleasant. On this site/app, I've come across mostly folks who work with dogs primarily, so I was looking for someone who had substantial experience with cats. Even though they are considered to be easier pets than dogs, cat parents, I'm sure, will agree with me on this: cats can be a handful in a lot of (different) ways. They require a lot more nuance in care and do not adapt to change as easily as dogs do. Since Ben has cats, himself, and has had a lot of experience taking care of them, I decided on him. And he most certainly delivered; both I and the kitties were very happy with his care. I highly recommend Ben to all pet, especially cat, owners and I definitely plan to work with him in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
